''wait. are you a virgin?'' he asked me out of nowhere and i felt my mouth going dry. i looked down back on my laptop. ''no i am not a virgin'' i lied. 

i could feel daniel walk over to me. he pushed the laptop aside and placed his hand either side of my waist. he leaned in close to my face.

 i could feel his warm breath on my cheeks. ''prove it then'' he whispered lightly and i pushed him back. he chuckled as he stepped back. 

he sat beside me and pulled me closer making my body fall on his lap. ''its funny. you are a virgin but you deny it. thats funny'' he spoke and i just rolled my eyes. he placed his hand under my chin and made me face him. he squeezed my cheeks with his finger making me pout. he placed a peck on my pout. ''you don't have to lie to me'' i just sighed and smiled. i got back to my work and so did daniel. he had some reading to do before his class. 

around 20 minutes lates, daniel kept his books aside. i was still doing my assignment. 

''baby...'' he softly let out. ''hmm?'' i hummed, my eyes still fixed on my papers.

 ''about you and adam... you two seem close'' he said in more of a doubtful tone as if he wanted to end it as a question. 

''yeah we are best friends'' i said without being bothered. ''oh'' he let out lightly.  i shifted my gaze towards him to find him fiddling with his pencil. he was too lost in his thoughts. ''daniel... why did you ask?'' i questioned him and he looked up towards his side. 

''well, because you didn't tell them about us dating'' he spoke looking at his books. ''we haven't told anyone about this. we will later'' i told him. he looked up into my eyes.

 ''are you ashamed of dating me?'' he asked me and i felt my heart stop for a second.

 ''no why would you think that?'' i asked him as i pushed my laptop beside me and leaned towards him. ''i mean i understand if you are ashamed, i don't have a good reputation around, so its understand-'' ''daniel...'' i let out softly as i placed my hands over his hands giving them a gently squeeze.  ''its never gonna be like that. i never even thought about it that way. i am not ashamed of you'' i told him. 

i felt  bad for making him feel like that. i never thought about these emotions hiding under him. he smiled softly as he placed his other hand over mine.''i just thought... it better if they find out sooner. that's what i meant. they are you best friends. the earlier the find out the less chaotic it will be'' he advises me. he wasn't wrong. it would be worse if they found it out later. 

they would judge me as a liar plus a bad friend to keep this hidden. ''i will tell them soon'' i said in a subtly tone as i rested my head on his shoulder. 

next morning...

 daniel left early in the morning. and like every other morning, he had woke me up. 

i looked over the table to just find out that daniel forgot his keys again. i don't want anything like yesterday to happen. 

i placed his keys in my back pocket as i pulled out my phone to text him. 

maya-  your keys!

daniel- oh my. i am so sorry baby. where will you be in five minutes?

maya- cafeteria

daniel- see you in five

i whined as i placed my phone in my bag. i decided to give eliza and adam a little hint of our relationship today. i might say 'i and daniel are getting really close' or i might say ' i am spending a lot of time with daniel lately' i will just say things like this to make it a little obvious that something might be happening between us. 

i walked off my room towards the cafe. all the while i was mentally preparing myself to talk to eliza and adam. i saw both of them standing near the cafeteria talking with each other. 

i took a deep breath and rushed towards them. ''hey'' i said in a cheerful tone. ''hi maya'' eliza greeted and adam flashed his beautiful smile.  ''actually i wanted to tell you guys something'' i said slowly but loud enough for them to hear. time to get this off my chest. nice and easy. ''for the past few days me-'' i was speaking when suddenly i felt a masculine voice cut me off. ''baby'' daniel called, i turned around to find him standing a few steps away from me. my eyes widened. he came towards me and i quickly removed the keys from my back pocket. 

i placed the keys in his hands. ''you are welcome. don't forget it next time'' i said hastily pulling my hand away. he took my hand pulling me a little to him. he slowly tucked my hair behind my ear and leaned forward. his lips met mine and i heard a gasp from one of my friends who maybe be thinking i have lost my mind. daniel kissed me while his hand caressed my cheeks lightly. he pulled away after a good 10 seconds. 

''have a nice day. love you'' he said as he freed me from his grip. i nodded and blankly spoke, ''love you too'' he walked away smiling and i stood there shaking. i cant believe i just said that. i turned back tucking my lips and they both had their eyeballs out and jaws dropped. eliza looked up at my face with surprise and spoke up, ''what the hell is going on?''
