No One's POV,
The rain was coming down as fast as race horses, and the thunder roared like furious lions, in the dark of the night. The moons light shone bright through the break in the curtains, allowing the moons rays to fill a small portion of the bedroom.
Anastasia was still sound asleep in bed as the storm continued on. She was asleep until the sound of quiet sobs started to fill the room, waking Ana from her sleep induced state.
Hearing the light sobbing made Ana confused as to where or who it was coming from. As she began to lift her head off of the pillows, her gaze slowly followed the sound of the wordless sobs.
When her gaze had finished travelling less then a quarter turn she saw Jane sat beneath the curtains and window. The moon light illuminating her crouched form.
Quietly Ana got up from the bed and walked over to Jane. Once she had reached the blonde vampire, she placed a delicate hand on her shoulder.
"Hey Janey are you okay,"
As Jane's head shot up at the sound of Ana's voice, she saw Ana rapped up in the white cardigan she had given her and a blanket, as she began to kneel down, to sit next to Jane.
"Ana I'm fine you should go back to bed," Jane's voice held a subtle shudder as she spoke.
"Jane it's okay, are you scared of the storm?" Ana questioned as softly as she possibly could.
"No of course not, why would I be scared of a simple storm, I'm the leader of the Volturi guard, I don't get scared."
Ana was unconvinced by Jane's words, clearly something wasn't right, and Ana was pretty sure her assumption about the storm was indeed correct.
"Jane it's okay to be scared, it's only me," Ana hesitated for a moment before she continued.
"You know you can tell me anything right?"
"Of course I do, your my mate," Jane said stubbornly but still quiet.
"Then tell me why you were sobbing," Ana scooted over a little closer to Jane.
"I'm all ears," Ana smiled at Jane, giving her all of her attention.
"I'm scared of storms," Jane whispered so quietly it was almost inaudible, but still Ana was able to hear.
"And it's okay to be scared of them, but I'm here now so there's no need to be frightened."
Ana's voice was soft and gentle as if she were talking to a young child, and though Jane was a 1800 year old vampire, she was still only turned at the age of 16 and was still classed as a child, though she was close to her late teens.
"Thanks Ana," Jane then cuddled into Ana's side.
"It's okay, you know what I'm scared off?" She asked quietly, but Jane only shook her head.
"I'm scared of the dark," Ana opened up to Jane.
"Really,"
"Ye always have been, probably always will be, but I'm okay because I know I've got you in the room with me, and even though I really don't want to admit it, I also have the Queens not to far away, so I know I'm safe."
"Oh don't say that you may get their hopes up," Jane said causing Ana to laugh lightly, as she covered her and Jane in the cardigan and blanket she had brought over.
Soon Ana had fallen back to sleep curled up next to Jane on the floor underneath the window and the light of the moon shining on the both of them.
