Chapter fourteen

NIKI

I drink my shot once more. I don't know how many shots I already drunk but I want more. It's been two days since I saw Nicole and Sam on the hospital room. Being cozy and shit.

Tss.

After that incident, I haven't go back to the hospital to look for Sam. I just ask Tito's assistant to look after her. I can't bear to be with Sam. I might kill her.

I've been inlove with Nicole from a long time. It was our first day of class that I accidently bump into her. She collides with me, not just physically, but in my whole damn world. She literally takes my breathe away. I fell inlove with her that instant.

I was the first one who met her. The first one who saw her. But, Sam is the one who got her. How cruel life is, damn.

Kung hindi lang sana ako naduwag eh di sana ako ang nasa lugar ni Sam. I should be the one holding and kissing her. That is fucking should be my place.

Inisang lagok ko pa ulit ang baso ng alak sa harap ko. I want to feel numb and don't feel anything.

"Woah. Uhaw?" sabi ni Kayla, tiningnan ko lang siya saka ininom ulit ang shot ko. "Hey, easy."

"Tss. Don't fucking stop me, Galang." mariing utos ko na agad niya namang sinunod. "This is your fucking fault, wala sa inutos ko ang baldahin mo si Sam. Ang sabi ko, ako! Tang ina. Simpleng instruction hindi ka makasunod."

"That is purely accident, Niks. Nawala ako sa ayos ng mapalo niya ang bola. I got excited that we won."

"Tss. First time mo?! Damn it."

"Niks, you know my scholar is at stake kaya hindi ko pwedeng balewalain---..."

"I can pay your fucking tuition fee and you know it! Tanga ka ba o hindi nagiisip?!"

Natahimik siya sa sinabi ko. I've been conniving with her to make Sam and Nicole break apart. Pero ang gago na 'to, pumalpak pa.

I am making my move inch by inch, nagpapakilala kay Nicole. Dahil kung si Sam, hinding hindi niya gagawin. I don't know what's with them being in a secret relationship.  I've never seen them in public nor Sam introduce her to me as her girlfriend. Since me and Sam became friends, we don't do secrets with each other. Ngayon lang, siya na hindi sinasabi ang relasyon niya kay Nicole at ako na lihim na nagmamahal sa girlfriend niya. Kaya ramdam ko na may malalim na dahilan si Sam at kung ano yun, yun ang inaalam ko.

"Are you sure about that?" kumpirma ni Kayla sa akin, I ask her to throw the ball at me during practice.

"Yes. Just make sure that I am in front of Nicole."

"So princess in shining armor, huh?"

Napangisi ako sa sinabi niya. "This is the only way to get her attention. Saving her and making her owe me."

Napapailing na nagpatuloy si Kayla sa pagsasapatos. "What if it doesn't goes according to plan?"

"I will make sure it will goes, Galang. Just make sure to hit me hard in front of her."

"It will broke some of your bones, Niki. Natatakot ako sa pinapagawa mo. Ayokong pagdiskitahan ng magulang mo lalo at scholar ako."

"Akong bahala. I got you, bud. Don't worry about that."

Kaso hindi epektibo ang plano namin na yun. Miminsan lang akong dinalaw ni Nicole, kaya naman agad-agad nagpalabas ako ng hospital. But still, madalang ko pa rin siyang masolo dahil hindi ako pina attend agad ni Coach sa mga praktis at mismong game.
