Chapter thirty five

SAMANTHA

"L-love..."

I shut my eyes to control the raging anger that slowly consuming me. As much as possible, I don't want to argue with Nicole. But fuck, those words Niki told us, it's fucking eating me!

"W-wala talaga akong m-matandaan na ganun l-love." I can feel that she is afraid of me.

"What are you exactly doing when I'm gone?" tanong ko. Nakayap siya sa bewang ko at nakatungo.

Sa likod bahay niya ako dinala pagkaalis ni Niki. Aaminin ko, naaawa ako kay Niki. Ramdam ko ang sakit niya. But I cannot let Nicole leave me. Nicole is mine from the start.

"W-wala..."

"Tss. I heard you always drinking. Niki and V is your companion." I sighed when she held the hem of my shirt. Para siyang bata na nahuli sa akto na gumagawa ng kalokohan. "Alam kong kasalanan ko kung bakit ka nag-iinom dati. And I know it's just occasionally. But getting drunk in that occasionally drinking session is not good."

"A-alam ko naman yun..."

"Then why still do it? Did you got alcoholic problems, love?"

"W-wala. Occasionally nga lang. K-kapag sobrang miss kita. Ang hirap ng dinanas ko S-sam. I always asking myself why did you do that? K-kung bakit mo ko natiis. No one can answered me back then. Alam kong mali, oo, dinaan ko sa alak ang lungkot at sakit. But I always no my limit." naiiyak na sabi niya.

I got her point. I do actually understand her. At hindi ko siya sinisi. Ako ang dapat sisihin sa lahat.

"Maybe you know your limits, but still, you got drunk. Kaya ka nahalikan ni Niki ng hindi mo alam." mahinang sabi ko.

Napatingin siya sa akin. Nagtataka sa mga sinasabi ko.

"I know all your doings. In the past two years, I have my eyes for you. To protect and look for you. Always, Nicole. That's why I know all of it." amin ko sa kanya.

Ayoko sanang sabihin pa sa kanya ang bagay na iyon. But I want her to know that I do protect her. All the time.

"So, t-totoo ang sinabi ni N-niki?" kagat labing tanong niya.

I sighed and held her hand. "Forget it."

"P-paano?!" naiiyak na sabi niya.

I hug her tight and caress her back. Comforting her. "It's just a kiss. I will not deny that it hurt me, love. Sino ba namang gusto na malamang nahalikan ng iba ang taong mahal niya. But, like I said, nangyari na. Tapos na. I can't blame Niki, tho, she takes advantage of you. Let's just forget about it."

Sabi ko out of frustration. Wala na rin naman akong mahanap na dahilan pa kundi kalimutan na lang ang lahat. It doesn't matter anymore who's to blame. What I will do is to not let it happen again.

I can feel how's Nicole affected by what happen. She's always distant and spacing out most of the time. Even I explained it to her over and over to forget it, she's still feel guilty. Lalo na ang paghalik sa kanya ni Niki.

I still remember how livid I was when I saw how she kiss Nicole in the parking area. Nicole is drunk at that time and she offered to take her home. I can't blame Niki that much, because she's tipsy that night too. Kung pwede ko lang siyang dukutin sa laptop na pinapanooran ko, ginawa ko na. I throw that laptop because of so much anger. I even decided to go back here that time, but fate won't let me.

Dad got into accident that same day. Kaya wala na naman akong nagawa kundi ang magstay at ayusin si Dad. There we're times that I do blame Dad. Kung nagkataon nawala sa akin si Nicole, hindi ko alam kung hindi ko siya sisisihin at mapapatawad.

My mind came at the present when my secretary knock and came in.

"Everything's ready, Miss." I just nod my head to her, fix my suit and wear my eyeglass before I follow her.

Every employee that we pass bow their head upon me. That's how powerful I am in my company. Yes, mine. Dad turn it all over to me a year ago.

They all greeted me and started the monthly meeting. We we're in the middle of the meeting when Mr. Clemente angrily barged in the conference.

"What the hell is the meaning of this!?" the security personal is stopping him, especially from me. "Why I am not here in the meeting?! And who the hell are you to fire me?!"

I smirked at him and look at him like he is nothing. "For correction, I didn't fired you. Your wife already sold your shares Mr. Clemente. Why asking me?"

Sinenyasan ko ang sekretarya ko para ibigay ang katunayan ng pagbenta ng shares nila at pagbili ko. Mas lalo siyang nagalit at hinagis pa iyon sa lamesa ko.

"I will sue you! Hindi ako makakapayag na mawala ang share namin dito! I can bought it back! Name your price!"

Gigil na gigil siya at kulang na lang ay mapatid ang litid sa leeg niya.

I sarcasticly laugh at him. "I will let you bought it, ten times on the price I bought from your wife."

"Are you out of your mind?! You son of a bitch!"

"It's business, Mr. Clemente. Take it or leave it." agad siyang pinigilan ng security na nasa loob na rin ng conference room, nang susugod na naman siya.

"Pa!" napatingin ako sa taong nagmamadaling pumasok at pumigil kqy Mr. Clemente.

"S-sam."

"Long time no see, V."

"What... How..."

"You know her?" Mr. Clemente ask her.

She just nod at her father. "What did you do? And what's the meaning of this?!" anger and confusion is written at her face.

I stand up and look at her like she is the most unsignificant thing in that room. "Let me ask you that. WHAT. DID. YOU. DO?" kung nakakamatay lang ang tingin, baka kanina pa siya nakahandusay doon.

Panic and shocked instantly seen in her face. "L-let's go D-dad---"

"No! I will not let this bitch take me down!"

"D-dad please!"

Natawa ako na kinalingon nila sa akin. "Everyone leave this room." mabilis na umalis ang lahat ng shareholder na naroon. Except for V and her father. "Now you know who your messing, right?"

"I don't k-know what your talking---"

"Really? Let me give you a clue then, paety drugs at the bar that fucking night?" mariing sabi ko

V glared at me while her father is confuse on what I am saying. "Did that bitch told you to this?!"

Agad ko siyang nilapitan dahil sa sinabi niya. I angrily grabbed her shoulder, not minding her father. "Don't you fucking dare called her that because it more fits you. Kung akala mo mapapaikot mo lahat sa palad, you got it all wrong. Kulang pa to, V. Sa lahat ng kagaguhang ginawa mo."

"She fucking deserve it!" she gritted her teeth and furiously glared at me. "Kung hindi dahil sa kanya, Niki will be mine! Pero anong ginagawa niya?! Malandi siya! She takes all what is mine!" she shouted hesterically.

"One wrong move, V. I will bury you six feet under ground. And yes, I am threatening you." binatawan ko siya pabalya saka ko sinenyasan ang mga tao ko na paalisin na sila. "Ban those two -- no, all the Clemente's, ban them from entering the premises of my company."

"Y-yes, Miss."

I grab my phone and called Jake. "Update me."

"It's all good, Miss. You can take over anytime."

"Good."
