Chapter 33 Miraculous Switch (7)

Adrien's view

I was glad I got to model with Marinette. She was the only girl model I 'clicked' with according to my photographer. I really enjoyed the times I got to hold her and kiss her as my supposed love. I couldn't imagine doing this with anyone else.

The thought of modelling with Kagami scared me. I think I have kissed Marinette more than Kagami over the past year. If I am being honest with myself, I prefer kissing Marinette. I know its just a job to her but kissing her has been playing with my mind.

It's her I am dreaming of at night. It's her I want to be with. Watching her with Luka kills me, but then I have a girlfriend...Why then is it I'm dreaming of Marinette? Why do I feel like I am cheating on Marinette when I am with Kagami?

Kagami, after a year pulled me up.

"Adrien, I can't do us anymore. I keep feeling second fiddle to Marinette. You honestly show more passion working with her than you do with me as your girlfriend. I'm leaving for Japan at the end of the week. Hopefully I'll get a first chance person there as this second chance isn't working."

"I'm sorry Kagami, I did try to love you and I do love you..."

"But you love Marinette more, I get it."

"I wasn't going to say that. The only thing I know about Marinette is she is my best friend and work mate." I sulk.

"It's ok Adrien, I know your not prepared to name what you feel for her yet, but I am. You love her. Don't leave it too long or you will lose her to Luka."

"Thanks for being a great girlfriend Kagami. I hope that you find someone who deserves a great girl like you."

"Thanks Adrien, it means alot to me."

We kiss goodbye for the last time.

When I got home my Father called me to his office "Son, you have failed me. I am disappointed that you were unable to secure Kagami's heart, but quite frankly, I am not surprised. You show more passion with your work mate, Marinette, than you did Miss Tsuguri. Perhaps you should be targeting this Marinette girl as she shows potential in modeling as well as fashion."

"Yes Father, I will ask her on a date then. But so you know, she has a boyfriend already."

"I know this, I also know that he is her second chance, it's possible that you are her first chance though. Now go away, I have things to do. "

I leave and think about what my father and Kagami had said.

"Plagg, do you think I love Marinette?"

"Do I love Camembert?" Was the reply I got.

I decided that Plagg was in a mood and not going to answer properly so I lie on my bed thinking. Eventually I text Marinette and tell her what happened. I also asked her on a date after our modelling gig, and she accepted! I was so pleased.

I had a wonderful time modelling with Marinette the day of our date. We were required to kiss several times, each time we kissed I felt my insides melt. I knew, however, Marinette was compartmentalising our time together so that she could be with Luka.

Afterwards we headed to the movies when an akuma attacked. Our date went to pot from the beginning. You may of well said "Date? What date?"

As I said, we got there and an akuma attacked.

"Sorry Marinette, I have to go to the toilet."

"Me too!" She quickly replied.

I rush to the scene of the akuma and Ladybug was not far behind me.

"I'm schedule confuser!" The akuma shouted and I was hit straight away.

I didn't feel a thing. "What's the point of that attack?" I asked the akuma.

"Well, you will be punished for not doing what is on your schedule." The akuma laughed evilly.

I don't know why but this akuma was difficult to defeat despite being totally useless in attack. I mean, I had been hit and I felt nothing.

I did an unsuccessful cataclysm and had to hide to detransform. While I was waiting for Plagg to eat his cheese. I thought about what the akuma had said "schedule confuser"

"My schedule is already confused," I say to Plagg "Do you think that confuser may have unconfused my schedule?"

"Maybe kid, look and see."

So I pull up my schedule and this is what I read:-

Adrien Agreste
Soul-mate Marinette Dupain-Cheng LB

"Am I reading this right Plagg?" I ask Plagg.

"Let's see kid, Adrien Agreste
Soul-mate Marinette Dupain-Cheng Ladybug" Plagg reads without foaming at the mouth "What do you see?"

"Marinette is Ladybug? Marinette is my soul-mate?" I squeal.

"Shush!" Ordered Plagg "You're too excited!'

"Do you know what this means, right?"

"Yeah, yeah, you'll be a idiot, get married, have kids. It's happened before and will again!"

Ladybug spotted me then and landed beside me. "Adrien, are you ok? You really should get away from the akuma."

"I'm fine M'Lady. But could you pawsibly check your schedule meow?"

"Geez, you sound like Chat" Ladybug said rolling her eyes. "But ok?"

Ladybug disappeared from view and I heard a unholy shriek.

"I take it Ladybug found out your her soul-mate then." Plagg said matter of factly.

"Yeah" I said quietly, wondering "but is she ok with it?"
