Percy knew who these people were, of course. Even if she knew less and less about the world outside the demigod existence over the years, it didn't mean that she was completely stupid and retarded. And it made sense somehow. Not only did the boys fight with knives right at the first breakfast, but also other minor aspects.
However, Dick's facial expression was just too funny. His mouth was half open and his head slowly turned to one side as if in slow motion. He closed his mouth and opened it again and again like a fish. Percy could no longer remain serious and burst out laughing.
If she hadn't been tied to a chair, she would have held her stomach and rolled across the floor laughing.
And once again, as if in slow motion, Dick's head turned to the other side.
"You don't know who these people are?"
"Of course everyone knows who they are."
"Wha-" Percy interrupted him again with another burst of laughter.
"Your face, oh gods I need a camera."
Dick's face contorted even further. He really did seem completely overwhelmed by the situation. "I don't get it."
"Oh, gods please a camera please."
"What the gods? Huh?"
"I would pay money for a picture of your face."
"That sounds incredibly creepy from a girl tied to a chair."
"Oh, that's right, untie me, now."
He eyed her for a long moment. Clearly, he was still not sure if it had been right to reveal his and his families' secret identities. However, he soon seemed to understand that keeping her tied to a chair would not help.
When Percy was finally able to move freely again, she stood up and carefully studied the room she was in. Ever since Tartarus, she couldn't stand caves or being underground. So she wanted to make sure she knew exactly where the exit was.
She couldn't see the exit directly, what the hell kind of cave was this where you couldn't find the exit right away. Percy spun around a few times until her eyes landed on the exit.
"Ehh everything ok?" Asked Dick. Percy turned to him and he stared at her in confusion.
"Yeah sure, why not?"
"I don't know, you were spinning in circles so weirdly I just wanted to know if you suddenly thought you were a carousel."
"Uh, no?"
"Fine."
"Ok" Percy just nodded in confusion. Dick was getting stranger by the minute in her eyes and seemed to be losing his ability to think. But who was she to judge?
"So who were you tracking?" She pointed to the computer screen.
"The others. We were on patrol tonight and then Joker came and kidnapped them." It seemed he had cut the story very short for whatever reason.
"Can I help?" Percy asked hesitantly. She was an outstanding fighter of course she could help, but at the same time, her new family didn't realise that.
"I don't think so," Dick said, a little confused.
Percy jerked away and said, "I can fight." She just hoped he wouldn't ask why she could. That would be very impractical and Percy would have to come up with an extremely good lie.
When she really thought about it, she didn't think she could keep her demigod life a secret forever. When she thought about who her uncle was and who he was when he put on a carnival mask.
