When Percy woke up again, she felt a little better. She dared to open her eyes and looked around the room. There were no bodies or blood anywhere and she breathed a sigh of relief. The girl really didn't want to be unable to open her eyes just because she saw things that weren't actually there. Percy took a closer look around the room. It was quite large and she quickly realised that this was the room she had been shown as hers a few days ago. Heavy black curtains were drawn in front of the windows, blocking out all light.
She fell back on her back and let the last events run through her mind again. How in Tartarus was she going to explain to her uncle where she had been? She hoped he would believe that she had spent all that time in the cemetery, but she couldn't tell if her uncle would believe the lie. Something that would be much harder to explain, however, was her behaviour yesterday. At least she hoped it had been yesterday.
She really had no idea how to explain why she had attacked Alfred and then refused to open her eyes. She couldn't say I thought Alfred was going to kill me and everywhere I looked I saw the corpses of my friends. No, that probably wouldn't help her situation.
She let out an annoyed groan and pressed her face against her pillow. Percy searched her brain for solutions and surprise found none. In an attempt to stimulate her thinking, she smashed her pillow against her face several times. It didn't help either. The only decent solution she could come up with was to just stop talking.
Ok, maybe that solution wasn't really decent, but it was still better than running away, wasn't it? Percy got up from the bed, shuffled to the window and pulled the curtains out of the way. It was still dark but she could already see the first rays of sunlight. Bright first rays of sunlight stretching up over the houses and heralding a horrible day.
She did not want to see the sun. The sun should disappear again because sunrise meant a new day and that meant confrontation. And she didn't want to be confronted with anything she couldn't answer. Maybe just going back to sleep was the best idea. Just sleep and not wake up if someone wanted to talk to her. Just play dead.
It probably wasn't her best plan, and probably also quite immature but sleep sounded so wonderful. Percy's eyes were fixed on her bed as if it were her prey and she slowly moved back. However, the saviour of Olympus, who had fought and won against hundreds of monsters, had forgotten about the carpet. Her foot got caught at the beginning of the carpet and she didn't realise quickly enough that she ended up with Percy face-first on the floor. She turned on her back and sat up grumbling she continued on her way to the bed. And once in said bed, she was completely asleep in just a few minutes.
______~~~______
The door to Percy's room was pushed open and a black-haired boy entered. He looked around the room for a moment, and his eyes fell on the open curtains, and then on Percy, who was completely knotted with her blanket and had put the pillow over her eyes. He went over to her and shook her gently because he remembered exactly what she had done to Alfred.
And when Percy woke up and still felt a hand on her shoulder, she knew that her extremely adult plan was about to start. She did not move. She pretended to be asleep and hoped the person would believe her, even though that was unlikely, Percy had never been good at pretending to sleep, and well, her plans weren't always the best ones either, although when it came to getting away from or fighting monsters, her plans had never failed.
The boy saw her move a tiny bit when he woke her and didn't believe for a second that she was still asleep.
"I know you're just pretending to be asleep." This sentence hung unanswered in the air for a few seconds before Percy pulled her pillow even harder over her face, swearing at Grieschich. The boy wasn't really sure what exactly to do because he didn't know how well Percy was doing and if she was well enough to be pulled out of bed. And in the middle of his thoughts, a second slightly younger boy entered the room and the first boy pointed his hand in the direction of the sleeping girl as if to ask if he wanted to try.
"Get up!" The boy said his voice, not in the least like the other's and much more gnawed. And when Percy still didn't move, the other boy left the room.
"Either he's getting water or something more dangerous, I wouldn't challenge it if I were you." Said the first boy and he could have sworn Percy stifled a laugh.
Percy waited a little longer, really thinking about getting up, and then suddenly she heard the second boy re-enter the room and seconds later masses of water were pouring down on Percy. Percy wanted her body to get wet because she really didn't want any more questions about why her body had rejected the water. However, she still did not move and even though she knew that both boys knew she was awake, she continued to pretend to sleep.
It became quiet in her room and Percy thought the boys had left, so she sat up only to see both boys on either side of her bed. The older one's look is one of amusement and he doesn't seem to have a problem with the whole situation, while the slightly younger one looks completely annoyed. Really totally annoyed.
Percy let out a loud groan and falls back into her bed. Her back hitting the wonderfully soft mattress and her eyes were closing again automatically.
"No Nope Nada you are not going to act asleep again, forget it. Open your eyes or I will throw you out of the balcony." Percy's eyes shot open and she sits up immediately staring shocked at the younger boy. The older boy has to stop himself from laughing and hits the other one scoldingly.
"He won't throw you out of the window." It was a statement accepting no arguing from the other boy even though he looks like he wants to argue. Percy nods slowly and she doesn't let the younger boy out of her eyes even though she knows he wouldn't manage to throw her out of the window. "I'm Dick and this is Jason." Stats the older boy Dick and Percy doesn't really understand why he would want to be called that way. Percy also thinks that that name fits better to Jason.
"If you want to come down to breakfast I'm sure you'll find the way," Says Jason and leaves the room. Dick gives her a grin and follows Jason out of the room. Percy lets herself fall back into the mattress and groans loudly her eyes scanning the room for her backpack so she can look a bit better to meet the rest of the family and to seem nice when she will get asked why she attacked Alfred yesterday.

I don't own the Percy Jackson series or the DC Comics. I only own the storyline and anything I make up myself.
