Sitting in front of her mother's grave gave Percy a strange feeling of peace as if Sally was holding her in her arms again. As if none of this had happened, the sun was about to rise and Percy was still sitting in front of her mother's grave, tears still flowing from her eyes without stopping. Her head hurt and her thoughts were wild and confusing.

She didn't know why she hadn't been able to kill the guy. The girl felt as if she had betrayed her mother's memory by not doing right by her. And that feeling was almost worse than the grief. At one point Percy couldn't even sit up anymore, so she lay down on her side and curled up, her eyes still fixed on her mother's name. The girl was shivering and she didn't know if it was from exhaustion or cold, but she didn't care.

She was jolted out of her numbness when she heard footsteps behind her and knew that this could be the monster she had been waiting for, but she couldn't find the strength to sit up and face whatever it was. Instead, she just curled up tighter and waited. The footsteps came to a halt and she sensed something or someone now directly behind her. The something crouched down and Percy was now pretty sure it was human because a monster would have finished her off long ago.

The person cleared his throat quietly and when the girl still did not react, the person put a hand on her shoulder. Percy could feel the hand, of course, but she still didn't move, not only because she didn't want to but because she couldn't. It was as if she could no longer move her own body, she could still feel it but had no control over her actions. This realisation frightened Percy greatly and her breathing quickened.

The person to whom the hand belonged seemed to notice this and turned Percy over so that she was now lying on her back. Percy's eyes closed and everything around her suddenly went black.

When Percy opened her eyes again she was in a forest. She didn't know what she was doing there but when she suddenly heard running and panicked screams she knew it was a nightmare. She ran towards the people and saw something she wished she had never had to see.

There were four people in front of her in the forest, two boys and two girls. The oldest boy had blond hair, as did the youngest girl, who seemed to be no older than eight. The other boy was not a boy at second glance, but rather a satyr. And the last child the second girl had black hair and was fighting what looked like a Cyclops.

And Percy knew exactly what was going to happen next. Just as Percy had thought, suddenly the cyclops threw the girl through the air and she hit a tree. The light went out of her eyes and the other girl started crying and screaming. Percy just stared sadly, knowing that this girl was not dead forever.

Percy knew how Thalia's story would continue. However, she did not know why she was seeing this. It wasn't a demigod's dream, it didn't feel like one, but Percy didn't have time to think about it as she suddenly found herself standing somewhere else.

It was a junkyard and in the middle of the junkyard was a giant robot. He was fighting several teenagers and suddenly one of the girls ran up to him and slipped through a maintenance hole in his foot. A short time later, the girl had taken control of the robot and it began to dance before falling over.

The other teenagers searched all night for the girl but never found her. And once again Percy knew whose death she had witnessed for a second time. Bianca Di Angelo, a girl who died for a toy for her little brother.

Before she had a chance to blink she found herself on a mountain. And in front of her on the ground were two girls and around them more teenagers.

"Stars" croaked the dying girl "I can see the stars again my lady." A tear trickled down the cheek of the other girl.

"Yes, my brave one They are beautiful tonight."

And once again Percy watched a person take their last breath and their eyes lose their life. Zoë Nightshade a girl who had given everything to prove her loyalty, a girl who died at her father's hand.

And before Percy could think a decent thought she was on a ship. A cruise ship that blew up the second Percy arrived and very briefly she caught a glimpse of a young man who had sacrificed himself for a war he had fallen too young to fight.

Charles Beckendorf a boy who died for a good cause with his thoughts even in death only on one person.

And again the scene of her dream changed. And she found herself again on bloody streets. She watched as one girl ripped a helmet off another ones head. And another girl ran up and cradled the dying girl's head in her lap. The two girls exchanged a few last words and you could see that the one girl was angry at the other, but that anger could not mask the sadness. The dying girl opened her hand and in her palm was a small bracelet. The one girl's eyes lost their focus and she cawed, "Charlie... See Charlie."

And so Percy saw one of the most gruesome deaths she had ever seen. She saw a girl die who had betrayed her family under false promises, a girl who had been responsible for the deaths of many because of lies. Silena Beauregard a girl whose last thought was of only one person.

Percy felt her eyes fill with new tears and suddenly she found herself standing in a large room with a struggle going on around her. A blond boy lay on the ground his eyes flickered from gold to blue and as a girl handed him a sword the boy cut himself under the right arm. And although it was only a small cut, the boy began to die.

He stared at the girl next to him and said "Ethan. Me. All the unclaimed. Don't... Don't let it happen again." The girl could only nod silently before the boy took his last breath.

Another victim of a war, even if many would not see him as a victim, for he had led this war. Luke Castellan a boy who felt so unfairly treated by his father that he started a war. A war that he himself would fall victim to.

The girl didn't know why she had these dreams, but she believed they were just nightmares. Her dead mother had shown her again how many other people had lost those they loved. Percy's dream flared up one last time and now she was standing in front of her mother's grave again.

She saw herself crying for her mother and realised that she was seeing what Sally had seen. Sally had seen Percy cry for her and Percy felt terrible. Her mother, who had finally found peace, had seen Percy cry for her.

She wished she had seen her mother one last time before she died. But she hadn't, she had been away and she didn't know her last words or deeds. Sally Jackson a wonderful woman who had lived her whole life for others a woman who was ripped from the earth in an accident far too soon.

So, I don't know if I've left out any other traumatic deaths but I think those were some of the saddest. This chapter is just to show a little bit of Percy's trauma because she has a lot of that. Thank you to everyone who reads my story.

I don't own the Percy Jackson series or the DC Comics. I only own the storyline and anything I make up myself.
