There wasn't time to bask in the comfort of waking up beside Austin when my alarm clock screeched from my nightstand and we both jolted up, seemingly remembering that not only were my parents up, or that we were also still holding onto each other but that we both had school soon and needed to get ready.

Mondays suck.

I showered first, coming into my bedroom in my towel so that he could take a shower before school. His eyes widened when I walked out and I couldn't help but blush as he seemingly checked me out.

"Are you not waiting on the shower?" I asked.

"I didn't bring clean clothes." He shrugged.

"I don't know how you forget that I've practically brought half your wardrobe home." I said as I walked to my closet and pulled out a shirt and some shorts that I had 'borrowed' after he soaked me with his hose pipe as we washed his car a few months ago.

"You're the best!" He grinned, "although now I'm curious what other clothes you have of mine."

"Just a couple of hoodies, but you're not getting them back, they're comfy." I said bending down to pick up a shirt that fell off the hanger, momentarily forgetting that I was only in a towel.

"Anna, towel." He said laughing as I shrieked, realizing that I had just flashed my butt at him.

"Go get in the shower already! We are going to be late and mom will have a panic attack if we don't eat some of the breakfast I know she made."

"Fine I'm going." He smirked before walking in the bathroom.

While he was in the shower I got dressed in a simple shirt and some denim shorts. Then I towel dried and combed my hair before putting on some light makeup and slipping on some flat shoes.

I was grabbing the stuff I needed for school when the bathroom door opened.

"Anna you forgot my.."

I turned around to see Austin standing in the doorway, a towel wrapped around his waist as water droplets dropped from his hair onto his chest and down his body. The shock of him, being practically naked in my room causing me to drop my books on the floor.

"Underwear." He said with a smirk.

"Austin, they were wrapped inside the shirt you doofus! Now put some clothes on before my mom or even worse, my dad see you."

He rolled his eyes and laughed going back into the bathroom. Thankfully when he reappeared he was fully clothed.

We hit the kitchen and grabbed some food before we got in his car and headed to school. Mondays were the boring days and always felt longer than necessary. Partly because all the boring subjects were on monday and partly because it was one of the days when Austin had practice during last period so I would have to wait for him.

Still it gave me the opportunity to sit and plan out some of our stops. We were mostly going to wing it for activities, but we wanted to make sure we were staying in good areas at least.

I spent most of the morning scrolling on my Tablet at different hotels and Air BnB's. Every time I would find one I would write down the price and the location in my notepad and then move onto the next destination.

Lunch came and went and as usual I just sat curled up with Austin under the tree we always sat under. I was throwing a grape into his mouth playfully when Jessica and her group of followers interrupted.

"Austin." She smiled before glancing at me and frowning "Anna".

"What's up Jessica?" He asked as I put my arms around him protectively.

It wasn't because I was jealous, or maybe it was, I don't actually know, but what I do know is that Jessica is bad news, she always will be. Ever since she made up that rumor that Molly was sleeping with the whole baseball team and just selected Austin to date as a dare, I have hated her.

Molly had never even had sex when she died.

I think Austin tolerated her though. I don't think it's because he thinks she is going to be nice or friendly, but more because the guys on the team all want her so it's easier to not stir the pot.

I realized I had zoned out when I felt Austin's arm tighten on my waist as he nuzzled my neck causing me to giggle.

"Austin!" I squealed, finally re-emerging into the present.

"That's kind of messed up!" Jessica snapped as I looked at her confused.

"I'm sorry, I usually understand your drama even when I don't care, but what are you actually talking about?" I looked at her like she was dumber than I thought she was.

"You, both of you actually. I mean I got it at first, when she died I figured you would need some time to heal Austin." She looked at him sympathetically. "What I didn't think was that you would spend the rest of your life pining over her best friend instead of moving on."

Austin opened his mouth to say something but I sat up straighter and held my finger up to silence him.

"First of all, Austin was my best friend before Molly died." I took a deep breath. "Second of all you don't know a damn thing Jessica. You think everything is all perfect and happy all the time, well it's not. So ...what if Molly helped bring us closer together, she was my best friend and she was a fantastic girlfriend to Austin. We both loved her and we always will."

"What is your point?" She rolled her eyes as I stood up to look her eye to eye.

"My point.." I stepped closer, "is that just because we are best friends, doesn't mean that the only reason Austin won't date you is because of me. Maybe it has more to do with your shitty attitude and lack of self respect." I took another step towards her. "How many pregnancy scares have you had now ... four?" I covered my mouth as if I revealed a secret. "SLUT!" I coughed under my hand as she turned away.

I sat back down with Austin as she turned around one last time. "I may be a slut, but I'm not secretly in love with my dead friends ex." She smirked before storming back into the school.

I just shrugged it off.

"Sorry, I'm just so tired of her." I explained as Austin pulled me into a hug.

"Don't be sorry, that was pretty damn cool."

"Oh I planned most of the stops, I just need you to look over them before I show my parents so they can book them all"

"I can't wait for summer A."

"Me either." I smiled giving him one last hug as the bell rang and we made our way to last period.
