Time had passed in a blur and despite Austin's suggestion that we just stay home for Halloween and watch scary movies, Olivia had somehow managed to talk me into a Halloween party.

She had assured me that it was just her friends and that the football team was going to be out at some other party, which also meant that Savannah wouldn't be there. The last part being one of the reasons I even decided to go.

Austin didn't want to dress up since I was practically making him go with me, I on the other hand, wanted to be sexy and continue the childhood tradition of being something else for one night.

This year I had opted for a baseball themed costume to honor Austin and all the hard work he had done. It was basically a long women's baseball Jersey and some knee high stockings. I had my hair curled to one side and my makeup lightly smoky.

"Alright I'm ready." I exited my bathroom and put on my black straps heels.

"Holy -" he started, his mouth hanging open as I smiled and assisted him in closing his mouth up.

"Can I borrow your old hat?" I asked, referring to the baseball hat he had gotten from molly the start of high school that he refused to take off for the entire season our junior and sophomore year.

I thought he was going to say no at first, not that I'd blame him, I knew that hat meant a lot to him. He pulled me towards the door and picked the hat from the rack hanging on the wall. Then he leaned down, placing a needy kiss on my lips as he put the ball cap on my head backwards.

"Now it's perfect." He smiled against my lips as I let out a small moan, his hand reaching around to grab my butt.

"We have to go?" I groaned slightly in more of a whimper.

"I know. One hour A." His voice was gruff. "I can hold myself for an hour, then you're all mine."

"Deal." I all but panted as he pulled away from me slowly.

We arrived a short time later and I was relieved when it was actually just Olivia, Marcus, and a couple other people I hadn't met yet.

"Anna! I'm so glad you came!" She smiled pulling me into a hug as Marcus and Austin did some kind of Bro Hug.

"Marcus didn't go to the party?" I asked quietly.

"No, Marcus doesn't actually like the wild college parties. Thankfully Cole wanted someone here to keep an eye on me so it all worked out."

"I didn't peg your brother for the protective type?" I shrugged.

"Oh he's not. He just didn't want me or my friends snooping in his stuff." She laughed and pulled us into the living room. "So I may have lied when I said it was a party, but I have food and scary movies."

I took in the other people sitting on the couches, obviously waiting for Olivia to come back so they could start the movie.

I sat with Austin on the floor in front of the couch and after being introduced to everyone I curled into him as Olivia handed us a blanket, turned the lights off and started the movie, sitting behind us on the couch beside Marcus.

We were about halfway through the latest saw movie when the front door opened and Olivia and one of the other girls screamed causing the rest of us to jump.

What followed was chaos as a stream of people walked into the house as I quickly apologized to Olivia and grabbed Austin's hand to leave.

"Leaving already?" Savannah's voice cut through the crowd.

"Yes actually. We have plans that don't concern you." I cut back.

"More like your worried Austin will figure out im the better choice if he's around me."

"Actually we have to get back." I didn't react but noticed that Cole and Olivia were now listening in too.

"Pussy." She fake coughed.

"Actually, I'm just really really horny." I said with a needy sultry voice. "I need to get him home so I can show him how badly I want him, how much I love every inch of his body." I smirked before turning around and rolling my eyes.

"Come on."'Austin smiled.

"Wait! You're leaving?" Cole asked.

"Yup, it's like the lady said, gotta get her home snd taken care of." He explained, never once taking his eyes off of the door.

"Dude, stay. We literally have a spare room if that's all you're leaving for." Cole attempted to reason with us.

I knew Austin didn't care either way. He didn't want to come to begin with, but now that everyone was here, including his team, I could tell he wasn't opposed to staying either.

"It's up to you." He shrugged

"Please?" Olivia pouted.

"Why waste your breath, He will figure out soon enough he can do better. I mean just look at her." I felt the anger begin to surge as Savannah spoke in her high pitched voice. "It's clearly a pity thing," she laughed, "right Austin? She's probably sick or dying..."

She didn't get a chance to say anything else as the mention of death sent images of Molly, her death, Austin's broken face, racing into my mind. It's as if everything went black as I let go of his hand and lunged at her as we both fell to the ground.

She screamed as I hit her face and continued to hit her. I couldn't get the images of Austin, broken and hurt from my mind. Every painful memory left me swinging in Savannah as she screamed.

I felt two sets of arms grab me and pull me away as I screamed at Savannah. "Get off me! I'm going to beat her ass!" I screamed.

"Dang bro she's a feisty one." Cole chuckled as he helped Austin carry me outside. Then he let go and muttered something about clearing the house before he disappeared.

"Anna, stop." Austin yelled as I began marching back to the house. "Just talk to me."

I turned around and walked back up to him, looking at the hurt in his eyes that I knew he didn't want me to see.

"She can say what she wants about me Austin. I don't care about her opinion, but what she said about you, all I could see was you and Mols. See how broken you were when we lost her. She doesn't get to do that to you."

"Let's just go home, please Anna." He pleaded "We can go home and do what we planned. I don't care about her."

I took a deep breath as he stepped towards me and tucked my now fallen down hair behind my ear. I gave him a simple nod and that was all it took for him to get me in the truck and take me home.

I sent Olivia a text on the way home and apologized but she assured me that everyone knew Savannah was asking for it.

"You wanna know something A?" Austin asked as I closed the front door and he caged me against it with his arms.

"Hmm?" In all but whimpered.

"I don't think I've ever been more turned on than watching you fight some girl to protect my feelings." His breath fanned my neck and just like usual I was putty in his hands.
