"Go with the sparky one." Austin breathed as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, it's New Year's Eve. You should look like a diamond and sparkle." He smiled kissing my neck before going back to his room to change.

We spent most nights in his room, but I kept my clothes in my closet since it was bigger. I slipped on the black and silver sequined dress that really did sparkle in the light and set to putting on my makeup, letting my curly hair hang free.

"I'm ready." I entered the kitchen fifteen minutes later, eyeballing his dark button up shirt and denim jeans. "Wow you look so hot!" I smirked, approaching him slowly before kissing him gently.

"That's a rave review, and as much as I would love to just stay here and rethink our evening, I actually have a surprise for you."

"Really?"

"Yup." He popped the P, "it's something you're really going to like."

With that he took my hand and after closing up the house he pulled me downstairs to the car before setting off towards wherever we were going.

As we got closer I noticed we were headed downtown, but not in the direction of all the New Years traffic. In fact we were headed towards the museum.

"Gotta make use of the free parking." He laughed as I just smiled.

He pulled me down to the river where people were crowding for the New Years countdown, yet instead of walking to the lit up bridge, we walked down the path to a secluded dark area where a few bench swings sat.

"If you wanted to kill me I don't think that the crowded downtown park on New Years was a good plan." I smirked as he laughed and pulled me into a swing beside him.

"Trust me I would be too lost without you. Besides you can't see the colors of the fireworks as well with all the lights."

We sat in silence, swinging until the chanting of the crowds signaled the countdown to New Years. I felt his hand wrap around the side of my face, pulling me to him.

"I love you for a whole other year!" He whispered against my mouth as the counting got to one. Then he kissed all the air from my lungs.

....

"I love you so much." I smiled as we pulled up to the apartment around two in the morning. "That was the best New Years ever!"

"Love you most." He chuckled as my phone rang.

"Ignore it." His offer was almost tempting until I looked at the screen.

"It's Olivia." I said hitting the green button to answer. "Olivia."

"Anna I need you to come get me." She was crying and babbling. "I came to this party and I can't find Cole and ahhh." She screamed.

"Where are you?" I said sternly.

She shot off the address and I told her to lock herself in the bathroom until we got there. I told Austin the address and explained that she was scared and to hurry.

We got to the frat party which was still very well packed with college kids who had come back early. No doubt some fraternity New Years thing.

I left Austin at the door and dashed up the stairs looking for the bathroom Olivia was in. I didn't see Marcus or Cole and I mentally cursed them both for leaving her by herself.

"Olivia?" I called knocking on the bathroom door of one of the bedroom bathrooms. "It's Anna." I announced as the door clicked open and Olivias teary face came to view. "What's wrong?" I pulled her into a hug.

"I drank too much and then some guy started pulling me upstairs. I didn't want to go but I couldn't find Marcus or Cole. He closed the door and tried to push me against it and I freaked out and kicked him between the legs. Then I called you and hid in the bathroom like you said."  She babbled.

"It's okay, your safe now. Me and Austin will take you back to our place and then get you home later okay?"

She nodded in response and together we left the bedroom and walked back downstairs to Austin. He quickly helped me get her to the truck as I gave him the 'not now' look.

"Look who decided to show her face again." The screeching voice of Savannah came from the yard. "You ready for a real woman yet Austin?" She bit her lip in a way that looked anything but seductive.

"We are just here to pick up Olivia. Wish I could say it was nice to see you but.." I turned to get in the truck as Austin climbed in the drivers seat, not acknowledging her at all.

"Fine, run away. Bitch." She muttered under her breath as I just shook my head and climbed in the truck.

Savannah was back, but right now Olivia was my main focus. I got her settled in my bed once we arrived at the apartment and tried to call Cole. Unsuprisingly it went to voicemail so I tried Marcus instead, also going to voicemail.

"Will you try to call them? They like you more and they need to know she's here."

He nodded and took out his phone calling Marcus first.

"Hey bro."

"Marcus! Anna just tried to call you."  Austin's chastised him.

"I was in the bathroom wiping my ass."

"Look something happened to Olivia and we can't get ahold of Cole. She's safe now, asleep on Anna's bed, but we wanted you and Cole to know she was here."

"What happened?"

"Not sure, she would only talk to Anna, but let Cole know she's here, I gotta go."
.....

"Thanks for last night, both of you." Olivia smiled as Austin handed her a plate of eggs and bacon.

"Don't mention it. We are just glad you're okay." Austin smiled putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"He's right. And don't worry, we managed to get ahold
Of Marcus and he knows you're here, he said he would find your brother and let him know." I smiled at her.

"Thanks. You guys are seriously the best."

"I wouldn't say that, we just care about you." I smiled as Austin pecked my cheek.

"You girls go relax, I'll clean up." He smiled as a knock on the door interrupted us.

"Where is my sister?" Cole barged in followed by Marcus.

"Where were you?" Olivia screamed at him. "You fucking left me with Savannah and then some guy trapped me in his dirty frat bedroom!"

"What?" Marcus chimed in.

"Yeah, my own freaking brother left me with that slut Savannah when you left to find me some water." She began to rant.

"She said she would stay with you?" Cole defended himself.

"Well she didn't. She pawned me off on the first guy that walked over and I was too drunk to fight him. He pulled me all the way to his fucking bedroom. If Anna hadn't answered the phone I would have never thought to lock myself in the bathroom. She saved me. Her and Austin were there for me when you weren't Cole."

"I didn't ... I didn't know?" He said suddenly solemn.

"Of course you didn't. What were you doing when they tried to call you last night? If I had to guess Savannah was involved." She rolled her eyes.

"This has nothing to do with her!"

"Of course it does. She did this! She did this to me and then still tried to flirt with Austin and be a bitch to Anna while they were helping me. She came back to you when that failed." Olivia began pacing. "When will you see it for yourself Cole? That she's using you and you deserve better?"

"Olivia is right." Marcus jumped in.

Then Cole did the one thing no one expected. He started crying and then stormed out.
