The grey sheets on Ethan's bed ruffled as he moved to a different position on his bed. The book in his hands was getting all stretched out and bent, as the paperback covers never lasted long. Ethan found a love for Star Wars, and spent the summer binge reading spinoff books before The Return Of The Jedi released.

"Hey? Eth? You there?" A scratchy voice calls over the walkie talkie sitting on the nightstand.

Ethan quickly picks it up from the nightstand, worried the voice he knew fondly had been trying to contact him for a while.

"Hey dude, what's up?" Ethan asks.

"We were supposed to watch 'Day of the Dead' tonight, remember? Even Mike got here before you! Are you okay?" Will questions.

"Oh damnit," Ethan looks out the window to see it was already dark out, "I'm really not feeling good, just go ahead without me, you'll miss the movie waiting on me" he chuckles, lying through his teeth.

Even if he managed to leave his bed within five minutes, they'd miss all the previews, and Will would be upset. What was the point for the party to waste their time waiting on their forgetful friend? Shit, he couldn't teleport that far even if he wanted to, if it was even safe, that is.

"You sure? You're only a couple minutes from the mall?" Will pushed, wanting Ethan to join them on their movie night. "Can't you teleport?"

"Yeah it's fine, I have to work on Dustin's welcome home party thing anyways" Ethan chuckles with a nod that Will can't see while dog-earing the page in his book. "I'm not feeling that great, scared I'll throw up during the movie."

"Please," He begs, "We'll only miss the previews, come and watch it with us!"

That was surprising coming from Will. The Will Byers. He loved watching the previews at the movies, let alone miss them because some dumb forgetfulness would probably make the poor boy upset. It was more entertaining than the actual movie he went to see.

"No-"

Ethan hears someone snatch the device from Will's hand, which turned out to be Lucas. "Just get here before I come over to your house and slap you, please. Also bring some snacks, we're broke as always. Thanks."

"Yes sir, getting my shoes on now," Ethan laughs, getting out of the bed and fighting to get his black Converse on. "I'm on my way, idiots, I'll be there in just a minute." he speaks before turning the device off and stuffing it into his backpack. He rushes into the living room where Nicole sat, watching some stupid rom-com on the TV.

"Hey, mom? Can I go see a movie with the party?" He asks politely.

She turned to the clock, and smiled at me to run along, dismissing him.

"Thanks mom!" He shouted to her, already halfway out the front door. Ethan grabbed his bike and quickly raced off to the mall.

As he arrived at the brightly colored, neon lit mall, he saw the party next to the bike rack, waiting for the brunette from across the parking lot. He sped up a little bit and jumped off the bike and walked it over to the rack. Ethan grabbed Will by the hand, leading him inside as they ran in, the other teens following them.
