vii ; The Bite

After retrieving Steve and Robin, thanks to Dustin and the shocky-stick-device Erica had found, Dustin was speedily driving down that long, agonizing hallway in the dumb car he had found. The older teens were clearly drugged out of their minds, Steve was beat to a pulp as well. Ethan had lost his walkie talkie as well, being stomped into a million pieces by a Russian guard on their way to escape.

"Woah! Slow down"

"Yeah what is this, like, the Indy 500?" Robin slurs

"It's the Indy 300" Steve corrects

"No, dingus, it's 500!"

"It's 300!"

"Let's say.. a million"

Both break out into laughter as the alarms continue, Ethan sat in between Erica and Dustin, on the arm rest where he had to lean down a bit because he was to tall to fit properly.

"What is wrong with them?" Erica complains

"I don't know" Dustin replies

"Dustin!" Ethan shouts, pointing towards the large cans he was about to drive into, which he did. "Who voted Dustin to drive?"

Steve grunts and yells as Robin groans, both hitting their heads pretty bad. Dustin and Erica ran around the back to get them out of the back while Ethan would try and open the elevator again with the keycard Dustin had stolen. Thankfully, the group was able to pile into the elevator and get back into the mall successfully.

In the elevator, Steve and Robin were burning up, and eventually the younger kids could conclude they were drugged. Their pupils were also dilated and acting very strange. Dustin sighs as he stands up, the elevator coming to a stop. The doors open and once again, the older teens were acting weird and saying the air tasted good.

A few Russian guards were heading their way through the gate, leading Ethan, Dustin, and Erica to run back, grab Steve and Robin, and run into the mall. Dustin slams the doors open into a theatre in the cinema, running down and finding Steve and Robin two seats for themselves, watching Back To The Future. Dustin, Erica and Ethan sit down all the way across the aisle, the theatre packed.

Erica heald a box of popcorn in her hands as the three try to figure out what had just happened over the past couple hours.

"Okay. It's official. I'm never having kids" Dustin sarcastically smiles

"What are we doing here?" Erica asks

"Laying low" Dustin replies

"From Russians? We need to find the others and warn them about the Mind Flayer, Dustin!" Ethan argues

"You watch Tweedledee and Tweedledum" Dustin says, pointing towards Steve and Robin. "Make sure they don't go anywhere" Dustin speaks to Erica

"Where are you going?" Erica asks

"To find us a ride" Dustin answers, grabbing his walkie and leading him and Ethan out of the theatre.

Sitting in the viewing stand next to the machine that reeled the movie onto the big screen, Dustin and Ethan try contacting anyone in the party, or even Nancy and Jonathan.

"Mike?"

"Dustin!"

"Mike!"

"Holy shit!"

Ethan takes the walkie, speaking into it as he quickly speaks, "Sorry we've been MIA, but we found a Russian base and the Mind Flayer is back. We need help, we're stuck in the mall surrounded by Russians!"
