iii ; The Monster And The Superhero

Ethan, Dustin, Max, Robin and Steve return to the shed where Eddie hid with a couple bags of groceries and smiles. Robin heald the box of Yoohoo for Eddie, as they werent legally allowed to get alchohol. Ethan, Max and Dustin set the bags of groceries in the boat for Eddie to look through. Eddie walks over, separating all the food out in an orderly fashion, taking the Yoohoo from Robin in the process as they gather around the tied up boat.

Dustin decides to speak first, not wanting Eddie to freak out about the bad news. "So we got, uh, some good news and some bad news. How do you prefer it?"

"Bad news first, always" Eddie answers, stuffing his face with cereal and the chocolate beverage.

"We tapped into the Hawkins PD dispatch with our Cerebro, and they're definitely looking for you. Also, they're uh, pretty convinced you killed Chrissy."

"Like, 100% kind of convinced" Max says

"And the good news?" Eddie asks

"Your name hasn't gone public yet," Robin answers, "But if we found out about you, it's a matter of time before others do. And once that gets out, everyone and their shallow-minded mother is gonna be gunning for you"

"Hunt the freak, right?"

"Exactly"

"Shit"

"So, before that happens, we find Vecna, kill him, and prove your innocence" Dustin says in a positive tone as Ethan gives him a look.

"Dustin, this isn't the Mind Flayer, or the Demogorgon. This is something so much bigger and I've seen it myself, it won't take a couple measly fireworks to kill. We need El and her powers, we need Kali, whoever she is and since she, according to El has powers, she could help. Seeing the way it killed Chrissy, it won't stop at us, it's stronger" Ethan speaks

"We're in the brainstorming phase now" Steve shuts down Ethan, trying to make the conversation more light hearted.

"There... There's nothing to worry about" Dustin splutters

Steve smiles as Robin and Max hold up a thumbs up as Ethan looks around at them, wanting to facepalm before being distracted by sirens wailing in the distance. Eddie quickly hides himself under the tarp, the group running to the nearest window, seeing many police cars, ambulances and firetrucks speeding down the road ahead.

The group gather into Steve's car, speeding down the road where Steve slams on the breaks, pulling off to the side as he found Nancy, and the crime scene. Three police officers surrounded Nancy, the curly haired girl giving a hidden wave to the group as Steve waves back, the group looking around.

"Our theory is that he attacks with a spell, or a curse. Now, whether or not he's doing the bidding of the Mind Flayer could probably be answered by Ethan."

"All we really know, is that this is something different"

Ethan, Robin, Steve, Dustin and Max were trying to catch Nancy up as they sat in a picnic table located in the middle of the trailer park. Fred, Nancy's journalist friend was killed in the middle of the road by Vecna late last night. The redhead and curly haired boy look over at Ethan, wanting him to explain to Nancy.

"He was... just like, a shadow, then. When I ran off in the mall, I was terrified for El and I couldn't watch so I went to the bathrooms. Leaving, why I fell down the stairs, he stood there. Saying my time was almost at an end, Hawkins was bound to fall soon. I'm pretty sure Vecna is above the Mind Flayer, like the flayer was working for Vecna. Like how my power battery has to charge, right? That's what he's been doing all this time. His intentions we don't know, but it's clear it's probably to take over."
