Ethan speeds down the road toward the barn, Jaeden's arms wrapped around his stomach, Hallow following on her bike just behind him. The pink streamers on her bike crinkle in the wind, all of their hair wispy as they travel. As they approach the barn, back doors wide open, they see the front doors on the inside have some sort of mural on them. It's all made in red with black figures between each pillar. Ethan couldn't tell what it was from afar.

He throws his bike down as he climbs off, sprinting inside, headed straight for Will, who's bleeding from his leg. Joyce holds an axe, defending her son. Robin and Erica stand in the opposite corner, the older girl protecting the younger with only her arms and body.

In front of them stands a Demogorgon.

It snarls and growls, opening its flower-shaped mouth, spit flying.

Ethan stands a few feet behind it, making sure to be quiet. Jaeden and Hallow quietly step back, knowing Ethan would want to do something. He wishes to burn it, but he needs to be careful. With this range, he could possibly hurt Will or the others.

He can tell Joyce wants to strike, but she's seen him, they all have. They don't want to ruin his secrecy behind the monster, alert it to his whereabouts.

Ethan needs to act quickly. It already hurt Will, and he doesn't want anyone else hurt or possibly dead.

He eyes his siblings, silently motioning them forward with his good hand, given the bad one may flare up and make him groan. They need silence. The two quickly step forward as the Demogorgon tries to listen out their location, planning to strike.

Hallow is first, grabbing a barrel in the corner to destroy it, to expand the atoms, the wood, and make it explode, like a sound bomb. This quickly catches the Demogorgon's attention, leading it to flip around and snarl at the trio. Jaeden comes next, wrapping tough tree roots around the monster's feet to stick it in place, leaving it unable to move as it's trapped to the ground.

The floor perks up around the roots as Ethan listens to his heartbeat, trying not to focus on Will's bleeding leg. As he does, the beast manages to break free.

Hallow screams, ducking behind Ethan as it pulls the roots off of its other arm, then its feet. Ethan eyes Joyce as she rushes forward, axe pulled above her head, planning to strike its back. Joyce lands a hit on the beast before Ethan can strike, trying his hardest to channel his power. Under this amount of stress, seeing Will hurt, the anxiety causes him weakness. He feels he may die under the pressure. Thank God for Joyce noticing his freeze under pressure.

The Demogorgon screeches and howls, swiping its large claws back at her. She jumps back, narrowly avoiding its lethal claws of death. She yelps, stepping back toward Will.

"Leave my baby alone!"

The Demogorgon seems to want to be more focused on someone else, anyway. It looks up on the platform above, chirping as it listens.
