"Hey El!" Ethan called, hopping off his bike before leaning it against Hopper's porch.

"Hi, Ethan" she smiles, fidgeting with her fingers.

"So why'd you need me?" the boy asks her, walking up the stairs onto the porch to give her a little side hug.

"Mike, he's being... weird" she informs, glancing at Ethan's bike.

"What do you mean, being weird?" he wonders aloud.

She takes Ethan's hand and leads him inside, and takes him to her room, closing the door behind them. Thankfully Hopper wasn't home to remind her of the three inch rule, but either way it didn't matter, considering the two were basically siblings. Plus, that rule was made because of Mike specifically. If she were dating Dustin or Lucas, they wouldn't have caused the three inch rule. Hopper just kinda hates Mike.

"He said Nana is sick, but Hopper said it was false alarm, and his mom was acting weird on phone." she explains.

Her grammar was a little off, but the summer studies plan was paying off. Ethan brings her books, she reads and gets Hop or Mike to help her, and she learns, piece by piece.

Ethan tried wrapping his head around the situation, but he was no good with girls. Obviously.

"I-I don't think I should've been your first resort in this uh- this situation" Ethan stammered, embarrassed and his face turning red. He has no doubt now when thinking about his sexuality. He has no idea how to help with straight people problems, or Mike problems for that matter. That boy has been making Ethan pissed off recently. Eth scratches his nape. "Uh..."

"Then what should we do?" she questions, tilting her head.

"Max."

El and Ethan biked down to Cherry Lane, where Max lived, to ask for relationship advice for El. They hopped off Ethan's bike a little ways down the street. The boy mentally prepared himself because the two never interacted much with each other, the first time they met Eleven shoved past her. To be fair, they were never formally introduced, but then again, their personalities could completely clash or they could become the best of friends.

Max was trying to kickflip on her skateboard, but it wasn't going very well, and her skateboard started rolling down the street towards the two lab rats. El stopped it and successfully kicked it up and caught it for her with a rather intimidating face.

Eleven walked up to her, handing her board back with a stern "Hi."

Ethan walked behind her, keeping the bike from falling over.

"Hi?" Max replied, confused why El came to see her for some reason, because they never spoke after meeting much. Their boyfriends were best friends, but it didn't mean they were. At least Ethan was there.
