After a moments rest, I was finally over my headache. When I woke up, I was surprised to see Bandit quietly moving along the forest path and I sit up. My muscles ache across my abdomen from when the guy grabbed me, but overall, I could tell nothing was damaged. Thinking back to then, I ponder for a moment before hoping off of him and he looks over to me in surprise.
"Ah, you're awake! I was going to wake you in a little bit to let you know we're getting close to Yuki Springs. I'll have to transform before we reach the front entrance."
"Yeah, haki sort of drains my energy. Thank you, and sorry for the trouble."
"Not at all! You're very nice for a human, especially one I tricked... I heard that Pirates are mean, so this is kind of a pleasant surprise!" Bandit says as he shakes his head and I smile.
"Well some are. You're just lucky you ran into me." I grin and rest my hands on the back of my head. "You should meet my captain, the infamous Surgeon of Death."
I smirk as his eyes widen and it swallows hard. "O-of 'Death?'"
"Yep! He's known to cut up guys who so much as look at him funny~ One time, he even pulled out their heart, just for giving him bread."
I bite my lip to keep myself from laughing as he takes a side step from me, and sweat trickles down his furry face. "A-and um... I-if something happened to you... what would happen? Theoretically speaking, I mean..."
"Oh, he's my boyfriend! So he'd probably cut them up and hide their body parts across the world." I reply innocently with a bright smile and it jumps.
"YOU'RE DATING?!?!?!"
"Yep!"
"S-so... Y-your boyfriend won't harm a good pal of yours l-like me, right?" He says and there's a puff of smoke before Bandit returns to his tanuki form and his brown eyes look up at me sweetly. I couldn't help but smile as I tap my chin in thought as I pretended to think about it, and to my surprise his puppy eyes got bigger.
I laugh as I shake my head. "No he won't do anything to you, I promise." He smiles and I couldn't help but pat his head fondly. "Believe it or not, he's got a soft spot for cute things."
Bandit sighs in relief before transforming again, this time into a little boy with dark brown hair and honey brown hues, wearing a white tank and kaki shorts. He sends me a grin and I smile as we reach the front entrance to Yuki Inn. I take a moment to marvel at the building's architecture as it almost looks like a palace rather than a simple lodging. Red tiled roofing with jade columns adorned gold traditional western designs and white walls. Steam climbed high into the sky and Bandit looks to me with a grin.
"Pretty nice, huh?" He giggles and I nod. "Now when we go in, just say that I'm your darling little brother."
"Alright, sounds good enough. But don't be causing trouble, okay? We're just here for the night, and then we're leaving first thing in the morning."
"Really?..."
"Yes, really. We're not on vacation you know!" I scold and he sweats.
"Okay, okay... Just for the night and we leave. But I'm not going until I get in the hot springs!" He says as we walk in and are greeted by the front desk.
After paying for our room and given the room keys, my eyes wander over to the gift shop. From the corner, noticed a notebook and some pens and pencils tied together in a set and I smile. As Bandit went to check in our room, I told him I'd be there in a second as I head towards the shop. Without looking back he waves me the 'okay' and I smile. Walking into the shop, I'm greeted by the shop keeper as I grab the set and a (f/c) bathing suit, and sit it down on the counter.
