Law's POV:After prepping the surgery room, and putting (Y/n)-ya under for surgery and blood transfusion, Ikkaku and I begin the operation. Yet, as my hand reaches for the scalpel and I prepare to make an incision I stop, my hands trembles, and I glance over to (Y/n)'s pale face.
"Law-san!" Ikkaku speaks up and she looks at me through her mask. "It's going to be okay. She's going to be okay, but we need to begin."
Her firm voice stirred me to regain myself as I look down once more. Swallowing my emotions, I forced myself to put my mind to work, reminding myself that as a doctor, I cannot be shaken from an operation I've done at least a hundred times over. For her sake, I need to make sure I operate with a clear head... Yet still, I feel my heart racing with every move I made. Every incision pierced my heart as I open just between the left lumbar and umbilical region. After making the incision, Ikkaku carefully opens the area, exposing the descending colon and small intestines. From there we both look at each other, cold sweat hanging just above our brows as we begin the hunt for the bullet, and pray that it hasn't shattered upon impact...

Hours went by and Law and Ikkaku were able to safely retrieve the bullet from her body, however traces of poison has been detected in her system. Waiting outside with Shachi, Will's gaze was aimlessly locked to the floor. His eyes swollen from tears and hollow as his last interactions with her haunts is mind. (Y/n)'s cries echoing in his ears.
"'Why would I go through all of this for a family who abandoned me?!'"
"'You didn't even bother the look for me! All this time you knew who I was, and you never bothered to check?!'"
Every question was like a knife cutting into his heart. True, in the midst of war he hadn't had much thought, but he knew long before of his mother's affair. The thought had crossed his mind a few times to search for is long-lost sibling... But the moment he saw her wanted poster - then it changed to reveal she was the last blood relative to one of the previous warlords... He marked her just as vile as her bloodline. Just as the pirates that she calls family.
But when she arrived, she never expressed genuine resentment nor ill-intentions, rather, she only responded out of defense... Will's hand subconsciously to where he had bumped his head upon their first meeting, and guilt sank in is stomach like a brick. Slowly, he glanced over at the red-headed pirate guarding him and Will's words struggled to come out.
"... Hey... W-what was she like? When you first met her? What kind of island was she living on?" He asks and Shachi clicks his teeth as his glares at Lombardi.
"Yeah? Now you finally want to know her, huh?! After she took a bullet for your sorry-ass - and only God know's if she'll make it through this!" He exclaims bitterly. Upon hearing his anger, Bepo and Penguin come into the waiting room. Tears start rolling down his cheeks underneath his dark sunglasses and onto the metal floor.
"I don't believe someone as kind as her has a crappy brother like you - SHIT!" He sobs Penguin rests his hand on Shachi's shoulder.
"Oy, I know this is rough... on all of us. And despite everything, (y/n) wouldn't want us to be fighting." Penguin says softly before looking at Will. " A better part of me would tell you to screw off... but, because of the circumstances, I'll tell you how we met (y/n) and how she became a part of our crew."
As the minutes turned into hours, Will listened quietly as the trio shared their first meeting, and adventures they shared with (y/n) as the crew races along the Grand Line...

(Y/N)'s POV:
.... Everything feels like a daze, waves continuously rolling onto the shore as I continue to walk alongside. In the distance I could see Granny and Papa's house up the hill, the clinic, everything on the island was normal... and yet, it all seems so out of place - or rather... that I was...
