Law's POV:

In a daze, I walk down the alley in curiosity as I try to make out where I was... my footsteps against the stone floors, being the only sound to keep my company. Suddenly I cringe at the blinding light by the end of the alley and I pause as I hear a commotion from the other side.

"Law! Come on, you gotta see this! Law!"

"... (y/n)- ya? Oy? What's going on?!" I call as I start and reach out into the light.

My eyes widen as I look at the familiar faces of people bustling about, laughter filling the town with the colorful balloons and wafting aroma of food I haven't had since I was young. I freeze as I spot a small figure running towards me and to more follow behind.

"Brother! Come on! You promised we'd go see the parade!"

"Lami! Sweetie, slow down!"

My heart stops as I stare at the scene in front of me... I couldn't believe my eyes as Lami crashes into me and I feel the warmth as her arms wrap around me. I could feel her heart racing from running and tears begin to run down my face as I stare at them biting my lip. It's all too real... it's too much to believe, but...

"Brother? What's wrong?"

"N-nothing! I-I just really really missed you..." I smile as I try to wipe away my tears and I feel a hand on my shoulder.

I look up to see my mother and father smiling softly at me as my father says. "Let's go Law, the festival's started without us."

I smile as I go along with my family into the heart of the festivities. In the back of my mind, I knew they were gone.... But in this moment, I want to believe it wasn't a dream. As if time skips by, Lami-ya and I were eating cotton candy while our parents were called away for something. I held her hand as we walked, admiring the different stands filled with games, toys, and food. As if the white lead disease never happened, I was a kid enjoying the festival... fantasy and reality became obscured in the music as I couldn't tell if this was a dream... or somehow I had woken up from one.

My gaze stops as I spot a woman with (h/l) (h/c) hair stumbling about, and I see her holding her side. I freeze as I see the blood run down her fingers, and my blood runs cold.

"Oy! We need a doctor!-" I well as I start running towards the woman, but in the crowd she disappears in an instant as Lami-ya looks up at me with worry.

"Brother-sama.... What's wrong? You ran so suddenly, I almost slipped out of your hands."

As I scan the area in a blinding panic, I don't even glance back as I mutter. "Did you not see her? That woman... she's hurt! She got herself in another fight probably."

"How do you know that?... Is it because you left her behind too?..."

"What?!-" as my head snaps to her, I stare in horror at the white patches that nearly covered her entire body, and her eyes were lifeless as she looked back at me.

The warmth in her hand suddenly went cold, causing me to shiver as she lets go, and we're standing in the hospital. Gunshots shatters the windows as I jump back in shock and flames obscure my vision. Running out of the burning building, my lungs burned as I gasped for air. Just as I hide behind a alleyway, a hand grabs mine and I'm pulled back as another bullet ricochets off the walls. Everything is silent as I'm embraced in a gentle warmth, but freeze as I feel something wet. I look up to see (h/c) hair and soft (e/c) eyes becoming darker as she bled. We're back in my home... and I'm carefully picked up and placed in a wardrobe as she smiles gently despite the pain she's in.
