Waking up with the sun beaming on her face wasn't the joist thing May wanted to wake up to. She covered her face with her sheets and groaned, turning away from the light.

"Too bright!" She complained and peaked out the covers looking at the time on her clock.

'5:30 am'

She couldn't believe it was this early, and the sun was already slowly starting to shine already. Sighing, she decides to stay in bed a bit longer. Her mom trainer her too well. Getting up 3-5:30 in the morning was just always Mays thing since she was a child. But now, she believes this is starting to trigger up her insomnia.

This early in the morning was a special morning.

Starting off her morning routine, she picks her phone off the nightstand and goes to her music to wake her up fully.
"Nothing too exciting, just slowly and shiny." She said to herself. Scrolling through her endless list of playlists she creates for her "moments" from time to time, she finds her "SunRise" playlist and looks through for a song to start with while talking out her towel and bathroom stuff to go take a shower and all that jazz. Then, she sees a title that catches her attention, going into the bathroom and locking the door behind her (Force of habits).
"Oh, I haven't listened to you in a while." She puts the phone down to undress and turns on the water.

Before she forgets, she puts on her shower cape and presses play to start the song, 'Paris in the Rain' by Lauv.

After finishing her shower, she steps out of the tub and brushes her teeth. She dries herself a little, wrapping the towel around her and unlocking the door to leave-taking her phone with her.

She went to her closet taking out what she wanted to wear today, and made a face listening to the song that was now playing.
"Not feeling it at this moment." She skips it. She does the same for the next song and skips that too. 4 skips later, she leaves it when the beginning of 'Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae.

'3 little birds
Sat on my window
And they told me I don't need to worry.'

The music instantly took her overlooking through her shirts for work.
"What to wear?" She says a little frustrated; not only was she going to her job at the library today, but she had also been going out to lunch with her best friends since childhood. They haven't all gotten together in months and planned weeks to catch up.

She really missed them since few of them were spread throughout the country, with her being the only one still living in New Jersey. But since most of them are living in New York right now, they picked their hangout spot to be there.

Looking through her closet, she sang along to the chorus.

'Girl put your record on
Tell me your favorite song
You go ahead let your hair down'

She danced a bit to the song, taking out a few items to go together. Then, she brings them out to her in the mirror.
"This could work." She starts to get ready for work.

May looks at the clock.
'6:20'

"Still time." She goes to her kitchen to prepare breakfast. She refills the water for the kettle and starts it, taking out her favorite mug with the famous words from a popular book. 'Okay? Okay.'

She reached up the shelves behind her for a giant box of teas ranging from the classics, black, and peppermint to new like strawberry cheese-cake.

"Regular green tea at this moment." She takes out a small green packet and sets it in the cup. She loved her teas the same way the majority of people loved their coffee. I can't live without it. Going into her fridge, she takes out her vanilla coffee creamer and a few more items she'll use to make breakfast with. After she sits down on a stool, she takes her phone, going through her routine of checking updates on social media.

As the water from the kettle starts to boil, she goes through Instagram, liking random posts and once in a while commenting on those she felt like saying something about. Her account was private, and once in a while, she went into her security to make it public for a day or two. She knew the risks, but the requests would always pile up, and she didn't feel like having to check who was who. It's not like she posts that much either. She checks her request,

'i_see.you +370 requests.'

"Damn a new record." She was impressed. The last time she went public was only a year and a half ago and didn't even reach past 200 most of the time. She was interested now; she clicked on the requests and scrolled through who they were. Men, women, memes. Nothing really caught her eye, and it wasn't very reassuring. She thought she would at least she a name or image of someone she knew before, an old high school friend, college maybe, a long-lost relative.

As she got to the bottom closer, a profile caught her attention. It immediately sent a cold chill through her whole body. And no, it wasn't i_see.you.

'U.SoKim.' The profile picture showed a side photo of a man looking into the distance. She looked closely. It couldn't be. Could it? She clicks on their profile and to see their account. Of course, private. Sighs then request to follow him, then after accepting his request. Just one person couldn't hurt.

She decided to wait another day to make her account public again. And danced a bit to the music as her water became ready.

'Girl put your records on
Tell me your favorite song
You go ahead let your hair down'

She danced to the last parts, pouring her hot water into her cup, and began to start breakfast.
