LISA'S POV

"Lisa, wake up!" My dad yelled as he knocked on my room door, but eventually let himself in. "Oh, you're already awake. That's surprising"

I stood there putting a hoodie on and turned to him, "Yeah ever since that idiot" I said pointing to Jennie who was on my floor sleeping

"Got drunk and threw up everywhere including on my bed. I couldn't sleep, so I just stayed up all night" I added

"Oh sorry about that. I guess I should've stopped her from overdoing it last night" he said halfheartedly laughing while looking at her passed out on the ground

I looked back at her then turned around and walked out of the room past my dad. "Aren't you going to wake her up or something?" He asked still standing by my door looking at me and her back and forth

I turned to him and smirked. "Nope, she can sleep there for all I care, especially since she threw up everywhere making me clean it up afterward"

My dad took one look at Jennie and then me and sighed, shutting my door, without any argument

"Okay, Let's head out then," he said as we both exited the house

"Hello Lisa, how are you today?" Ms. Park asked while writing in her notebook and smiling at me

"I still feel the same, but this time I'm tired" I answered sighing

She squinted her eyes at me and wrote in her notebook. "Why are you tired?"

"Well if you must know, I had to clean up a puke mess, because my friend Jennie, threw up everywhere and I got no sleep because of her," I said getting annoyed

Ms. Park just sat there nodding her head. "So you're made a friend? That's good"

I looked up at her. "What?...No that's not what I meant. I don't have any friends"

Do I?

She just nodded her head still smiling. "So is this Jennie girl, who is not your friend, a person you like being around?"

"She is a pest a lot of the time, but she can be...fun," I said mentally smirked

"I see you've learned to smile or smirk" she continued to write things in her notebook. "That's great!"

I sat in my spot looking down thinking. "Yeah, as annoying as she is, Jennie is somewhat the reason why I'm smirking now" I touched my mouth

"That's good, so I'm assuming Jennie is a good influence on you?" She proceeded

"I guess" I sighed. Feeling tired of answering her questions, I decided to get up and leave

"Again, but we are not done here?" Ms. Park said confused while getting up from her seat

I ignored her and continued to walk out of the room

"Well, I am. See you next week...maybe" I said saying the last part under my breath while exiting the room

"I still can't believe you just left me passed out on your floor and didn't care to wake me up when you left" Jennie pouted, while we sat at the lunch table

"Well maybe next time you'll think twice, before getting drunk and puking everywhere" I snapped

"I've told you a million times I was sorry, so why can't you apologize back now?" she asked while puffing out her lips

"Because I don't feel like it," I said bluntly while taking a bite of my pudding

She plopped her head on the table. "You're so mean!"

I mentally rolled my eyes. "Fine, I'm sorry," I said giving a hard time saying the last part but felt relieved afterward

She sat straight up and smiled at me. "I forgive you, but only if you give me a kiss on the cheek" she grinned from ear to ear and pointed to her cheek

"Nope"

"Come on you did it the other night-" she said covering her mouth

I quickly looked at her. "You remembered that?"

She smiled. "Yeah, but in my defense, that was the only and last thing I remember," she said grinning

Why is she like this?

"Well, either way, that is the last time I'm gonna kiss you" she opened her mouth, gasping. I looked at her and mentally smiled at the face she was making

The bell soon rang and we decided to head off to our next class, but I remembered I left my gym clothes in my locker. I told Jennie to go on without me, which she refused at first, but finally gave in and headed to the locker room

I watched her as she left then turned around to walk down the hall to my locker, enjoying my peace, but couldn't shake off the feeling that something was gonna happen. I shook the thought away. Oh well

I got to my locker and opened it, but it was quickly slammed shut, almost shutting on my fingers. I looked to my left and saw Steven standing there with all his buddies behind him.

This is new

"What do you want?" I spat out

He just stood there arms crossed, smiling at me. "Whoa! no need to get all defensive. I was just coming here to talk to you about Jennie"

What does he want with her?

He rubbed his neck. "Well, I developed a liking for her, and I knew she wouldn't talk to me, because of last time. So I thought maybe you could put in a few good words, for me, since you hang around here a lot" he asked with a raised brow smirking

She hangs around me and is he serious?

"I'm good," I said and turned around to walk away, but was stopped by one of his friends, who grabbed me, turning me around to face Steven and holding me still

Steven laughed and walked to me slowly. "Look, I'm just asking a small favor of you, so why can't you respect that and just do what I asked?"

"Because you're a dick" I answered bluntly while smirking

His smirk faded and he grabbed my face, with his callused hand. "Look I'm not looking for a fight or anything and I especially hate getting physical with a girl, even if you are a weirdo, but you're making me pretty angry right now. So why don't you stop being a little shit and do what I ask?" He said through gritted teeth

"It's just a small favor" he added as he let go of my face

I looked at him in the eyes and noticed how familiar-looking they were. "No"

He threw back his head smiling then looked down at me. Without any warning, I immediately felt a pain in my stomach

He punches harder than Michael

"Look what you made me do," he said as he rubbed his hand. "Now I won't ask again. Just say a few nice things about me to her and all will be fine"

"Besides it's not like she likes you anyway. I mean who would even like you. You're a loser and a weirdo to be exact, who doesn't care about anyone...so you should just do me and her, a favor and do what I ask" he added smiling and signaling his friend, who was holding me, to drop

I sat there looking at the ground, I mean he is right. Why would anyone like me? I don't even like me...but Jennie, she likes me. I mean she says she does or is she just saying that to mess with me. She knows I can't feel anything for someone so why does she keep hanging around me...Steven's right, I need to forget about her and just move on

"Fine, I'll do what you want"

"Good choice" he smiled and signaled his other friends to move away. He and his friends started walking down the hall, but Steven stopped and turned to me to say one last thing. "In the end, you'll realize this was all for the best when you see me fu*king Jennie, while you stand there not giving a care in the world," he said laughing as he turned around and left
