LISA'S POV
My lips don't feel any different, they're still small and plain as any other normal lips, but for some reason, I feel...different. I can't explain it and I'm not sure I like it...I kinda miss my old self, but at the same time I don't
"Hey, aren't you going to eat honey? You've been staring at your food and holding your lips for nearly 10 minutes. Are your lips irritated or something? Do you need chapstick?" My mom asked concerned
"No, I don't. I'm fine. I'm just thinking" I replied as I put my hand down to grab my fork and eat
My mom sat there staring at me with a questioned look, but gave up and continued eating again, but she didn't last long and kept asking more questions
"So how was the fair last night? Your friend Chaeyoung seemed a little uneasy when she brought you back home?" My mom asked looking at me
She's so noisy
"It was surprisingly fun" I answered back without an attitude. My mom was taken aback by my answer
"That's great you had fun" she smiled. "So what all did you two do?" She asked again
I sighed, feeling annoyed with all her questions
"We just rode rides, ate some food, played some fair games, and fed animals" I answered, but laughed a bit when I remembered what happened to Chaeyoung in the petting zoo area at the fair
My mom's head bolted up quickly. "Did you just...laugh?" She asked me with wide eyes
"Yeah, I guess I did" I sighed as I finished my meal
She dropped her fork and got up and started cheering and dancing. "I can't wait to tell your father you learned how to laugh too! This is amazing! Our daughter is finally becoming normal-" but she stopped when she said that last part and looked at me. "I mean you were normal in the first place, but you know every since you smirked and laughed and everything"
She continued to babble about whatever she was talking about but stopped when she realized she was getting off-topic
She waved her hands. "Anyways you know what I mean" I just nodded
"Well I'm going to go take a shower and head to bed"
"Okay, honey. I'll just be down here, still celebrating until your father gets here" she said as she continued to clean up while smiling
There is something wrong with my mother...but I'm glad to see her happy
I walked into my room and took a shower and went to bed and slept until the next morning at school
I pulled into the school's parking lot, parked in the same spot and got out, and headed inside
"Hey, Lisa" I turned around and saw Chaeyoung walking by me
"What do you want?"
She sighed. "Okay let me get straight to the point...I'm still sorry about kissing you because now I feel like things will be awkward between us"
"It won't be if you keep saying it will be awkward and besides the kiss wasn't terrible" I turned back in front of me and continued my walk to my locker
"Wait so are you saying you liked it?" She asked
"I think so"
"That's great! So since you and me liked the kiss and since I like you and you may like me...do you maybe want to try working this out?"
"I don't. I'm just now trying to figure things out about myself and doing that might be moving too fast. So how can you stop asking questions so I can focus on heading to my art class?" I said annoyed
Chaeyoung stood there with a smug look. "Okay, I'll give you time...we can take things slow," she said as she followed me
Everyone around me is annoying
We parted our ways once the bell rang and headed to our classes since we don't have the same first-hour classes
I walked into the classroom and did my same old routine, but this time I couldn't think of anything to draw. Usually, I could always think of something, but couldn't
I spent the whole class hour sitting there drawing and painting, but always ended up crumbling up the pieces of art I did
The bell rang, which relieved me. I gathered my things and left, but my teacher stopped me
"Lisa, are you feeling alright?" He asked concerned
"I'm fine. I just couldn't think of anything to draw" I answered
He crossed his arms and looked at me. "Really? You usually always end up drawing something, especially this one girl as your usual assignments" he said handing me a drawing I drew
"Now I'm not complaining, they are really good, but I feel whoever this was you were drawing and painting, in my opinion, could've been your inspiration...your muse maybe? But to me, it looks like you may lose your way. If you know what I mean"
I stood there looking at him. "You know I don't need any advice from someone like you" I snapped
He stood there still arms crossed and just smiled. "I'm just trying to help"
"Now you're just being annoying. Now will you excuse me, I'm gonna be late for class" I walked past him and out of the room down the hall
As I was walking I looked at the paper he gave me and noticed it was Jennie
Get out of my head!
I crumbled up the paper and threw it away in the nearest trash can
"Hey weirdo can we talk a bit?" I stopped in my tracks and knew who was talking to me
"What do you want, Steven?" I asked
"Well remember the other day at the fair?" I nodded my head
Of course, I remember I was there
"Well, I noticed you at the kissing booth trying to kiss my girl after I clearly said not to do anything like that. You crossed the boundary" he pushed me up against the locker knocking the breath out of me
"You never said that" I snapped
"Well, now I am. So if you ever do something like that again! I will end you" he threatened
"Whatever," I said in a not caring voice
He smiled and patted my cheek. "Good girl" he turned around and walked away. "Remember this is strike two if you get to three well...you know what's gonna happen" he smirked while he walked down the hall
I don't even remember striking one. I didn't even know there were strikes?
