LISA'S POV
"Nothing...three hours of searching and we came up with nothing," Chaeyoung said angrily. I checked the time and saw it was a little past 5 a.m. and sighed
"Maybe Jisoo and Jennie had better luck upstairs"
We headed upstairs to meet up with them but didn't see or hear anyone
"Jisoo...Jennie. Are you up here?" Chaeyoung whispered and yelled but still, we heard no one. Chaeyoung moved me behind her and continued walking down the hall towards the only cracked open door upstairs
"Is anyone in the"
"RAHWWWWR!"
"AHHHH!!" Chaeyoung screamed. We quickly looked to our left and saw someone in a creepy mask, which made Chaeyoung scream more
"WHAT THE FUCK! AHHH!" She yelled while taking off and running towards a room and locking the door. I stood there watching and laughing at the whole thing
I then looked over and noticed it was Jisoo wearing the mask. "That was worth the 1 hour wait" She laughed. We stood there laughing while Chaeyoung slowly stepped out of the room she was in
"Are you kidding me that wasn't funny!" She said angrily
"Yeah it was and it's a shame Jennie missed the whole thing," she said as she moved aside showing a sleeping Jennie on the ground
"Hey wake up idiot!" Jisoo shouted while throwing the mask at her
"Huh?" Jennie said lifting her head groggily then bolted awake when she saw me and Chaeng. "Aww, man! I missed scarring them" She pouted getting up
"Yeah and it was hilarious," Jisoo said still laughing
"It-"
But I stopped mid-sentence when we heard the front door open
"Who the heck is that?" Jennie whispered
"I have no clue. From what I overheard at school they weren't supposed to be back until later tonight" We stood there listening to the person downstairs humming and talking to themselves then heard them as they headed upstairs
"Hide!" Chaeyoung whispered
Everyone took off to hide, but someone stopped me and dragged me with her to a room under the bed. I quickly noticed it was Steven's room, which I didn't like
"We'll be fine here" Jennie smiled but stopped when she saw me. I had my eyes closed as memories of Steven started coming back
I shook my head. "I can't do this" I whispered trying to get out of the room but was being held by Jennie
"No we have to wait until the person's gone" she whispered back
"No, I can't. I have to leave" I said with my eyes still closed trying to squirm out of her grip
"Lili calm down. You're making too much noise squirming" But I ignored her, still trying to get free
It was embarrassing feeling like this in front of Jennie, but I didn't care, because I just needed out of here
I then felt a soft hand being placed on my cheek. "Lili open your eyes" But I shook my head. "Lili please?" I stopped squirming and slowly opened my eyes and saw Jennie smiling at me while holding my cheek. "Good now keep staring into my eyes until you're calmed down"
I did what I was told and calmed down a bit, but it didn't help long. The smell of Steven's room just brought the memories back
"Jennie, I can't. The memories hurt" I told her not sure why
She rubbed my cheek, "I know they do, which is why I'll be right here by your side until you're okay" She softly smiled
Why is she always so kind to me?
"It's because she loves you," my conscience told me
"Now stare into my eyes and calm down" she whispered. With her other hand, she grabbed my hand and moved it down to her chest, "Try matching my breathing" I glanced down at our hands then back into her eyes
Her heartbeat is beating like crazy
"If I tried that, then I would be dead. Your heart is beating fast"
Jennie blushed, "This is what you do to me anytime I'm around you. Like I always say. I love you" she smiled
We laid there, while her hand was on my cheek and the other holding my hand on her chest. We stayed in that position just staring into each other eyes until we heard the person walk down the stairs and leave
Her hands are so soft on my face. It's strange. I don't want her to let go. We continued to stay like that for a few more minutes until the coast was clear
"Okay, I think they're gone," Jennie said as she began moving, but I stopped her, "Lisa, what is it?" She asked looking at me
I looked into her eyes then down at her lips and swiftly planted a kiss on them. I immediately felt that warm feeling in my stomach, I didn't necessarily enjoy that feeling, but I'll get used to it
We stayed there enjoying each other lips, kissing slowly and softly. This was nothing compared to Chaeyoung kisses and I felt bad about that, but at the same time I didn't, because a small part of me knows and finally wants to admit...that Jennie was the one for me
I broke our kiss and looked into Jennie's eyes which were sparkling.
"What was that for? I thought you said we couldn't do that?" She asked, but I ignored it
"Nini I'll finally admit it. I like you and I wanna give you and me a chance"
She smiled the biggest smile
"YES!!" She yelled
I rolled my eyes, "Be quiet"
"Who yelled yes?" Chaeyoung asked walking in. We got out from under the bed, which caused raised brows from Chaeyoung and an eye roll from Jisoo
I looked at Chaeyoung, "The reason she yelled-"
"Was because I and Lisa found the key" Jennie said interrupting my sentence
Chaeyoung smiled, "Well where is it?"
"In Steven's letterman jacket"
"Where is that?"
"About that. Steven's wearing it and to be honest, I haven't seen him take it off in a while" Jennie answered
"Yeah so that just has to mean he still has it, in his pocket, which is stupid," Jisoo said
Chaeyoung leaned back on the wall. "So we wasted a whole night searching for nothing"
"I don't think it was an entire waste," Jennie said glancing at me smiling, which Jisoo noticed and groaned
"Let's just get the key another time. Now let's go back home so we'll at least have like an hour of sleep before school starts"
Before leaving we all made sure everything was back in their spots carefully snuck out of their house, back to Chaeyoung's car, and headed home
I was the last to go and before getting out Chaeyoung kissed me on the lips. I didn't kiss back, which caused a frown on her
"I'll see you later. I love you" she said, but I just waved goodbye and headed inside my house and up to my bed. But before I could go to sleep I decided to send a quick text to Jennie
Me: Why didn't you let me tell her when I was going to?
Jen: Because that would've been rude. You should do it when Jisoo and I aren't around so you two can talk or whatever
Me: Fine
Jen: I'll talk to you later Lili! I love you!!
Me: You're annoying
Jen: You love it ;)
I rolled my eyes and smiled and put my phone down so I could go to sleep
