43-Snow Days

AKEYLAH POV

I opened my eyes groaning from the blinding light of the sun bouncing off the snow on the balcony. After rubbing my eyes for a good 5 minutes, I looked up to see Tyler still very much asleep and smiled softly

About a week and a half ago, Tyler decided it would be cool to have something like a couples retreat to Utah since it was November and the snow would be prominent here

I carefully slipped myself from under Tyler's arm and slowly swung my legs over the bed to put on my slippers and fuzzy robe before going to exit the room. Just as I stepped into the hall, the other girls were as well

Akeylah: Good morning beauties.

Girls: Good morning.

We all began to make our way downstairs

Akeylah: How'd y'all sleep?

Dana: Amazing! The bed was so comfy!

Malaya: (shrugs) I slept well.

Carter: Me too. I really needed that rest. I've been booked up with shoots for the last couple of weeks.

Christina: (sighs) Same. This retreat was calling my name!

Carter: Okay so we have everything we need for breakfast right?

Malaya then opened the fridge while I looked in the cabinets. We both turned and said yes as we began to grab all the ingredients needed. Since this was our first morning here, the girls and I decided to make breakfast for the guys before we ensued our activities for the day

Akeylah: So I'm on the fruit salad, biscuits, and gravy, cheese grits for myself, Chris you got the pancakes and waffles, Carter on French toast, Malaya on the eggs, and Dana on the chicken, bacon, and sausage. Does everyone understand the assignment?

They all nodded and we all reach our hands in a huddle and whispered yelled "Break!" as we started on our designated dishes

TYLER POV

The smell of food rushed in and out of my nose as my eyes slowly opened and focused into a clearer vision. I rolled over and Key's side of the bed was empty. Sitting up, I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. Once I was done in there, I threw on a robe and my house shoes and walked into the hall to see my niggas walking out as well

Lionel: (runs a hand over his durag) Y'all girls gone too?

Travis: (rubs his face) Yeah. Chris usually still be sleeping around this time.

We suddenly heard a fit of laughter break out downstairs and we followed it to the kitchen where the girls dancing to Ed Sheeran's "Sing" as they placed cooked food on the kitchen island

Carter: (laughs) Well look who all finally decided to show up to the party.

The rest of the girls all turned their attention to us and began to run to their partner. Key ran up to me and grabbed my arms as she started dancing to the song again. I gave her a look but she just laughed and kept dancing as the other girls did the same thing with their spouse

Tyler: (yawns) Key it's too early for this.

Akeylah: Oh come on! You're usually hyper in the morning. Perk up! (does a silly dance)

Tyler: (laughs) You're fucking dumb.

Akeylah: But I'm YOUR dummy so...

I gave in and danced with her
