Tohru's Little Sister

Chapter 5

"Will Tokiko Honda report to the main office?" Said Mr. Tomokai. Tokiko thought, "Why does he want me for?" Tokiko gathered her things and walked down the hallway towards his office. Before she hit the corner, she seen Tohru, Mr. Tomokai and her aunt Sanai in the office. Tokiko dropped all her books on the floor. That made Tohru turn around. Once she seen Tokiko, she started to cry. Tokiko instantly knew what was happening. She ran to the office and swung the door open. Mr. Tomokai said, "Ah! Miss. Tokiko! Your aunt Sanai is here to take you and Tohru into custody." Tokiko didn't acknowledge Mr. Tomokai. She said, "Why the hell are you here? Why all of a sudden do you care?" Sanai said, "Whatever do you mean Tokiko-San? I just want what's best for you and your sister Tohru." Tokiko said, "Bullshit! You haven't cared for months about our well-being, but you do now?" Mr. Tomokai said, "I'm aware that your mother passed, and since your father passed way before she did, Ms. Sanai here is legally your rightful guardian."
Tokiko said, "No! I don't wanna go with her!" Sanai said, "Tokiko-San, it's going to be fine! You guys can go grab your things from that house and meet me back here in 30 minutes, ok?" Tohru grabbed Tokiko's arm and said, "Yes ma'am." Tokiko and Tohru walked out the office. Tohru said, "I'm so sorry To-Chan, I had totally forgot that she said she would do something about our living situation. This is all my fault...Please don't be mad at me." Tokiko stayed silent all the way to the Sohma house. When Tokiko walked inside, all the memories from the past 4 weeks started to replay in her head. A single tear fell from her eye. Tohru said, "I'll go pack our things. I don't wanna leave either To-Chan if you were wondering..." Tokiko had wrote a letter explaining where they were and who they were living with and their contact information. She knew either Kyo onii-Chan or Yuki would come after them. After all, they enjoyed having the girls around. Tohru said, "I want to say goodbye...but that's too hard to do. It doesn't seem like Mr. Shigure is here either...Well let's go To-Chan."
Tokiko grabbed her things from Tohru's hand and walked out the house. She glanced back one final time before walking away. The walk back to the school was silent and neither Tokiko nor Tohru said a word. Yuki said to Kyo, "I wonder what's taking Tohru so long, I heard Mr. Tomokai call Tokiko's name too. I wonder what's going on." Kyo said, "Yea, I hope my Mini Me isn't in any kind of trouble or anything." Tohru and Tokiko made it back to the school. Sanai said, "Goodie! Does everyone have their things? Mr. Tomokai is excusing you two from school for the rest of the day." Tokiko said, "Actually no...Tohru and I have to get our books." Sanai said, "That's fine, just hurry up. It's a long drive from here to grandpas." Tokiko grabbed Tohru's hand and guided her into the school. Tohru said, "To-Chan what are you trying to do? I don't have any books to get." Tokiko said, "Go see Kyo onii-Chan and Yuki one more time." Tohru slowly walked back into her classroom. Uo-Chan said, "There you are Tohru! Where have you been?" Tohru walked past her and didn't say anything. Yuki said, "Tohru what's wrong?"
She looked up at Kyo with her eyes full of tears. Kyo's eyes widen. She ran out the classroom and back down the stairs. Yuki said, "We have to chase after her!" Hanajima said, "That won't be necessary. Tohru is simply starting a new chapter of her life now. In a new place where she will thrive." Kyo felt some type of way by Tohru's expression. He thought, "Why was she crying? She never cries...She's always smiling and so bubbly." Yuki said, "That settles it. We cant do anything until we see them after school." Tohru ran to Tokiko and said, "I couldn't do it! I couldn't tell them goodbye. I couldn't say bye to Yuki...and I definitely couldn't say goodbye to Kyo." Tokiko patted Tohru on the head. They walked out the school hand in hand. Sanai said, "We all ready? Good! Let's go!" The three of them get into the car and drive in silence. Sanai breaks the ice and say, "Grandpa will be delighted to see you after so many years. It'll do him some good. Your uncle is there and your cousin too." Tohru and Tokiko just stared out the window as she talked. They finally reached the house. Tohru looked up at the house. Tokiko said, "The old man hasn't changed his house since all those years?" 

Sanai stepped inside and said, "Guys I got them!" Just then, their uncle and cousin came around the corner. Their cousin name is Shoto. I know these aren't the names of the people or whatever from the actual anime, but I didn't say it was going to be exactly like the anime, just the same series of events. Shoto said, "Tohru-San! Tokiko-chan! I missed you guys so much!" Tokiko thought, "Even after 8 years, this idiot hasn't changed one bit." Tohru said, "It's so nice to see you again Sho-kun." Their uncle name is Shuno. He said, "Is Shoto the only person you guys see?" Tokiko said, "If you're saying that because we didn't acknowledge you, then yea." Tohru nudged Tokiko's shoulder. Shuno said, "I see you haven't changed one bit Tokiko. It's good to know you're still cold as ice." Tokiko's heart broke a little hearing him say that. Tohru said, "Ok, where's grandpa?" He walked around the corner using his cane. He said, "Is that my daughter right there? My my my, you've gotten short Hikari." Hikari means light and in this scenario, Hikari is Kyoko Honda's nickname. Sanai said, "Papa! That's not her! She's dead remember? That's Tokiko-chan, and you remember Tohru-chan right?" He said, "Oh? I apologize Tokiko, and hello my dear Tohru." Both Tohru and Tokiko went dead silent. Shuno said, "Honey you could've worded that better." Shoto said, "How about I take you girls things to your rooms?" Tokiko said, "I thought you'd never ask, here you go bud." She threw her things at Shoto. He barely caught them. Tohru handed her things to Shoto and said, "Thank you very much."

He ran upstairs to put their things away. Shuno said, "I heard you girls were living with some random men, I know for fact Tokiko didn't let them get close to her, but you Tohru....did they try anything?" Tohru said, "What do you mean?" Shuno grabbed Tohru's chin and said, "You know what I mean...you're a growing and beautiful young girl...they didn't try to touch you, or fondle you..." Tokiko slapped Shuno. She said, "Don't ever try to cloud my sisters mind with vulgar thoughts like that! The Sohma men...aren't like that at all. They're very kind and considerate. Better than you'll ever be!" Shuno laughed and said, "Tohru should be starting to do those things anyway, don't think your sister is too innocent Tokiko." The school bell rang signaling the day has come to an end. Yuki said, "Where are the girls? I haven't seen them at lunch...it's like they just walked out of school." Kyo said, "Yea it's weird...It's like they disappeared." Yuki saw Mr. Tomokai and said, "Hey Mr. Tomokai, where did Tohru and Tokiko Honda go?" Mr. Tomokai said, "Mr. Sohma! Their aunt came to get them, I can't disclose their address or anything but they will be living with her from now on." Yuki and Kyo basically ran back to Shigure's house. They burst the door open to find Shigure reading a letter.
Kyo said, "Oi, what are you reading?!" Shigure said, "Guys you startled me...it's a letter Tokiko wrote. It says that their aunt has come for them. She left the address and the phone number. She says that she knows Yuki and Kyo onii-Chan will do the right thing." Yuki and Kyo both snatched the letter out of Shigure's hand. He said, "I'll miss having them around especially Tohru...she's an amazing cook, she cleans, she washes my dirty underwear...everything I want in a woman." Yuki said, "This is no time for your sick and twisted words Shigure. We need to find them!" Kyo said, "That must be why she was crying earlier...she was trying to say goodbye and didn't know how." Yuki said, "Yea, that must be it." Tohru and Tokiko had just got done eating dinner. Tokiko said, "I'm going to bed." Tohru then followed right behind. Tokiko went into Tohru's room after changing into her night gown. Tohru said, "To-Chan we have our own rooms again, why are you sleeping with me?" Tokiko said, "I've gotten used to your body heat when I sleep, you expect me to just overcome that over night? I don't think so Tohru." Sanai walked into the room. She said, "It's only 5 in the afternoon, do you girls always go to bed this early?" Tokiko said, "No we don't, but we don't wanna be here, so we'll be going to bed around this time everyday. Now get out." Tohru said, "Excuse her aunt Sanai, but no we usually don't, I guess we are feeling a bit homesick." Sanai chuckled and said, "Homesick? Really? And which home are you referring to? The one with those men....your mother would turn over in her grave if she saw what her girls have turned in to." Tokiko said, "I don't know what you and Shuno think was happening to us when we were living with the Sohmas, but you're wrong. They would never hurt us. They've never done anything out of pocket around us or to us. You are the bad guys in this situation." Sanai said while walking out, "So you say Tokiko-chan....Goodnight girls." Tohru rolled her eyes and turned over. Tokiko sat up and looked out the window. She thought, "Yuki, Kyo onii-Chan...please hurry and save us."
