Chapter 19

     Both of the girls finished eating. Tohru washed the dishes while Tokiko went upstairs to prepare for school the next day. She sat on her bed. The room looked exactly like it did before their mom died. Many things brought back memories for Tokiko. Tokiko decided to go take a shower. Tohru decided to watch TV for awhile. Meanwhile at the Sohma Estate, it was a very quiet and silent evening. Shigure cooked dinner and afterwards everyone went to their rooms. Kyo stood in the door way of Tokiko's and Tohru's old room. Yuki saw him and said, "What are you doing ya stupid cat?" Kyo said, "I'll never forgive Akito for this..." Yuki said, "You know the new year is approaching....Will you come to the estate?" Kyo said, "Why should I? The cat isn't invited anyway." Yuki shrugged his shoulders and went into his room.
     Shigure was downstairs on the phone with Akito. He said, "Why do you insist on making these kids lives terrible?! Those girls weren't doing anyone any harm living here!" Akito said, "Oh, but they were. They were trying to take the 5 who belong to me away. I was wondering why everyone all of a sudden wanted to visit you Shigure." Shigure said, "They won't forgive you for this." Akito said, "I'm sending some people to the school in the morning. I won't force them out of their classes, but I will have someone watching them in class. If they talk to them, I will find out and there will be consequences. It'll be more traumatizing for them that way." Shigure said, "Oh Akito, when will you learn?" Akito said, "Goodbye Shigure.." The phone hung up and Shigure went to bed. Tokiko had just got out the shower and laid out her uniform for school. Tohru knocked on her door and said, "To-Chan! Have you showered already?" Tokiko said, "Yes! You can go ahead!" Tokiko put on her night gown and laid in her bed.
    She stared at the ceiling. She said to herself, "I miss them already...I wonder if Haru and Momiji will still be in my class." Tokiko rolled over and tried to go to sleep. Tohru walked in and kissed Tokiko on the forehead. She walked out her room and blew out a candle. Tohru has set up a shrine for her mom and dad inside the house. She bowed in-front of it and went to sleep. Momiji was in his room crying loudly. He couldn't believe he wasn't allowed to talk to Tokiko anymore. He looked at his phone and admired the only picture he had of Tokiko. Haru texted him and said, "Go to sleep man...we have school tomorrow. We can walk to Shigure's house and walk with Kyo and Yuki, ok?" Momiji sent back a thumbs up. He managed to crawl into his bed. He curled up into a ball and forced himself to go to sleep. Kyo fell asleep in Tokiko and Tohru's old room.
    Soon, the sun rose. Shigure knocked on the boys room signaling that it was time for school. But the two were already up. Kyo walked out the bathroom and said, "Shigure, where are you going so early?" Shigure adjusted his shirt and said, "I'm going to speak with Akito. I have a lot to speak with him about..." Yuki said, "Don't go say anything reckless Shigure." (⚠️Small Spoiler, but spoiler coming⚠️) Shigure said, "I won't, I just want to talk to her." Yuki and Kyo exchanged a shocked expression and said, "Her?!" Shigure said, "Oops did I say that out loud? My apologies...Excuse me." Yuki said, "That makes a lot of sense I guess. He does have a lot of feminine features I guess. But anyway, Haru texted me and said their on the way to walk with us to school." Kyo nodded and they walked downstairs. A few minutes later, they heard a knock at the door. Yuki and Kyo grabbed their bag and walked outside.
     Haru greeted them. Momiji held his head down. The walk to school was silent. Haru said, "So, do you guys think Akito is gonna put us in different classes?" Yuki said, "It's possible. I don't doubt Akito and what he can do at all." Kyo side-eyed Yuki cause they both heard Shigure refer to Akito as a girl. Haru said, "I hope nothing crazy happens." Tohru and Tokiko were walking side by side to school. Tohru was walking with her head down and bumped into someone. She looked up and said, "I'm so-" She looked up and made eye contact with Kyo. They both bucked their eyes. Momiji snapped his head up and made eye contact with Tokiko. She had tears in her eyes. Tohru grabbed her hand and walked inside the school. Kyo and Momiji both reached their hand for the girls. Tohru hugged Tokiko and said, "It's ok. Calm down To-Chan." Tokiko cried into Tohru's shirt. The bell rung signaling that it was time for class to start. Tohru patted Tokiko on her head and left to go to class.
    Tokiko walked slowly to her class. She walked in and seen Haru sitting in his normal desk while Momiji's desk was moved to the opposite side of the room. A tall man was standing next to Momiji. Tokiko arched her eyebrow and went to sit down. The teacher walked in and started the lesson. Tokiko turned around and looked at Momiji. Momiji caught her eye and looked between her and the tall man. The man cleared his throat and placed a hand on Momiji's shoulder. Momiji sighed and lowered his head. The lesson dragged on. Tohru walked into her classroom and Yuki and Kyo were seated on opposite sides of the room. Usually they sit behind and on the side of Tohru. There was 2 tall men standing in the back of the classroom. Tohru was greeted by her best friends as she started the day. She glanced across the room at both Yuki and Kyo. They sat with their head in their hands. Tokiko and Tohru both said, "This is weird..."
