Tohru's Little Sister

Chapter 4

Tokiko said, "So how many girls exactly are in the zodiac? Kagura makes 1, is she only girl?" Yuki handed Kyo an ice pack and said, "No, there are 3 girls in the zodiac including Kagura." Kyo put the ice pack to his head and said, "Yea, it's only 3....considering how aggressive Kagura is, I'd personally consider her a boy." Tokiko said, "Yea she's definitely tough, but she looks all sparkly rainbows and TeeHee. If you know what I mean." Kyo laughed and said, "I completely understand Mini Me. Hand me another ice pack will ya?" Tokiko walked into the kitchen to grab another ice pack. Tohru was in the kitchen and she looked confused about something. Tokiko said, "Girl what's wrong with you?" Tohru said, "To-Chan! I didn't see you there! Is there something you need?" Tokiko said, "I'm just getting Kyo onii-Chan another ice pack. What's on your mind?" Tohru said, "I was just wondering, how momma would react if she knew we were living in a house with all these men." Tokiko said, "Really Tohru? The only person we really have to watch out for is Pervert or as you call him "Mr. Shigure". Tohru giggled and said, "Yea I understand that, but our aunt caught me while we were at the store the other day. She was wondering where we were living and things like that." Tokiko said, "Well what did you say?! I hope you didn't tell her that we're living with the Sohma's." Tohru said, "I kind of did To-Chan. And I think in the next few weeks, she's going do something about it." Tokiko highly despised her aunt because she treated their mother so horribly when she was alive. Tokiko screamed at Tohru and said, "You're such an idiot! We specifically started living in the tent to avoid living with her! Tohru you are a complete moron and there is no way you're related to me nor momma or daddy!"
Tokiko ran out the kitchen living a heartbroken Tohru alone. Yuki walked right in after Tokiko said that. He said, "Tohru, are you ok? What was that all about?" Tohru said while wiping her face, "It's totally fine! To-Chan always speaks to me that way. She's a rather feisty girl! She reminds me a lot of Kagura except she doesn't get physical." Yuki said, "That was a lot more than feisty, does she have some sort of negative hunch towards you?" Tohru kept it secret as to why Tokiko treats her that way. I will also explain that later. Kyo heard what happened from the living area, so he walked upstairs to see Tokiko inside her room. She was crawled up into a ball and crying. Kyo sat beside her and said, "That was bad Mini Me, what happened?" Tokiko looked at Kyo tear-eyed and said, "Tohru is the most sweetest and kindest person ever but she is also the biggest airhead I've ever met! She always does things wrong and doesn't even realize it..." Kyo said, "What kinds of things?" Tokiko said, "She always needed my moms attention. It was like she intentionally took it from me. It was so many times where I needed my mom...but she was with Tohru. It was always about Tohru with my momma. But with my dad, he always catered to me before he died. I was his world...and Tohru was my moms pride. After he died, things stayed the same and I was left in the dark."
Kyo patted Tokiko on the head and said, "It's ok Mini Me. I'm sure your mom didn't intentionally forget about you. Moms can get really busy and stressed out. I'm sure she loved you with all her heart just like she did Tohru." Tokiko looked up at Kyo with puppy dog eyes. Kyo hugged Tokiko and turned into his cat form. Tokiko held him tight in her arms. Tohru walked upstairs to find the two of them hugging. Tokiko grabbed Kyo's clothes and carried him into his room for him to transform there. Tohru said, "Tokiko, let's talk." Tokiko said, "I have nothing to say to you.." Tohru was so fed up with Tokiko treating her like she was the bad guy. Tohru said, "Tokiko shut the hell up for once in your life and just listen to what I tell you! I'm your big sister and I only want what's best for you always Tokiko. I hope you know that...I know why you hate me. There's really nothing I can do to change your mind about that, but I do wanna apologize. I've made many mistakes with trying to raise you." Tokiko butted in when Tohru said that. She said, "That's exactly the point Tohru! You're not momma! You always act just like how she treated you. Your "motherly instincts" don't work on me! I wasn't shown the love that you got Tohru. Of course an airhead like you wouldn't see that. Mom only cared about you...it was always you Tohru. I sometimes wondered why I was even born. You, mom and dad would've been better off without me."
Tohru sat down beside Tokiko and said, "Tokiko that's not true at all...I remember when Mom first told me she was having you. I was so excited cause I always wanted a little sister. I was so happy when you were born. Dad adored you so much cause you eventually developed his personality. Mom loved that you developed her hair color. Yea I forgot to mention that Tokiko's hair color is orange just like their mom. You were the most adorable baby I've ever seen! Tokiko you were so special to us back then and you still are. Now that it's only the two of us, we have to be strong Tokiko. I should've used better phrasing when I said I was raising you. But, as your big sister I'm supposed to guide you Tokiko. That's all I'm trying to do. You are such a smart and beautiful girl and I love you so so much." Tokiko started crying again and hugged Tohru.
Tokiko, Tohru, Yuki, Kyo and Shigure all ate dinner together. Tokiko and Tohru had resolved their problems, but Tokiko still thought Tohru was a complete airhead. Kyo's and Tokiko's friendship only strengthen after that night. They were living happily at the Sohma house. They formed bonds with each other that was very strong, but little to none of them would admit it. A few weeks later, Tohru was called the principals office. Tohru's teacher said, "Ms. Honda, the principal has asked for you to come to his office." Tohru looked confused at this request but she went nonetheless. She reached the principal's office and could see her aunt standing in the reflecting mirror. Tohru said, "Aunt Sanai?! What is she doing?!" Tohru walked in and said, "Mr. Tomokai, you asked for me?" He said, "Yes, Ms. Tohru, your aunt has come to tell me that you and Tokiko will now be in her custody. It's allowed only because we don't have a current address for neither you or Tokiko on file." Tohru said, "What?! Why are you doing this Sanai?" Sanai said, "Why am I doing what? I can't have my nieces living with me? You'll be very happy with me cause I stay with grandpa. I'm sure he'll be excited to see his granddaughters again." Mr. Tomokai called over the intercom for Tokiko to come to the office. Tohru thought, "Tokiko isn't gonna like this at all... What do I tell Yuki, Mr. Shigure and Kyo?"
