Tohru's Little Sister

Chapter 15

Tohru and Kyo whipped their heads around as fast as they can. Tohru's eyes grew bigger and she started sobbing out loud. Kyo screamed, "Tokiko!" He jumped to hug her and he instantly transformed into a cat. He rested on Tokiko's chest and cried silently. Tokiko slowly raised her hand and petted Kyo. Tohru said, "Tokiko! You're awake! Are you ok?" Tokiko softly smiled at Tohru. Momiji, Yuki, Haru and Shigure came bursting into the room. They all screamed, "Tokiko! Are you ok?!" Tokiko turned her head slightly to look at them. She glanced past Tohru, Yuki, Haru, and Shigure. But once she glanced at Momiji, her heart felt like it stopped. She suddenly started to cry and said, "Oh Momiji, I'm so sorry for not listening to you! I had you put through all that trauma...I'm truly sorry! Find a way to forgive me!" Yuki grabbed Kyo and took him into the other room so he can transform. Tohru pounced at Tokiko and said, "Stop being so loud, your body is still weak...please calm down..."
Momiji ran over to Tokiko's side. He grabbed her hand and kissed it. Momiji glanced over Tokiko's condition. Momiji thought to himself, "She's like a ghost of the person she was....I'll never forgive Akito for this..." Tokiko started to cough badly. Tohru hurried to cover Tokiko's mouth. When Tohru removed her hand, a little bit of blood was on her finger. Tohru said, "Yuki could you bring her some water please?" Yuki ran downstairs to retrieve the water. Tohru rubbed her hand across Tokiko's cheek. Tokiko said, "Quit touching me, ya weirdo!" Tohru laughed and said, "You never change, do you?" Haru said, "When are you gonna break the bad news Tohru?" Tokiko stared at Haru and said, "What bad news?" Tohru grabbed Tokiko's other hand and stared her straight in the eye. She said, "Tokiko....shortly after the fight between you and Akito, Akito banned us from living with Mr. Shigure. We have to move out by tomorrow. If we don't, the 3 of them will be forced to move back into the Estate, which is something they don't want to do." Tokiko screamed, "But I don't want to leave!"
Tokiko bucked her eyes. She started to tear up and glanced at Shigure. Shigure looked away from Tokiko. A single tear ran down his face. All he could say was, "I'm so sorry Tokiko. I'm sorry this has happened to you, and I'm sorry you're being forced to leave." Tokiko said, "Will they still attend our school?" Haru said, "Yes, but I'm pretty sure Akito will remove us from your classes. And he'll make it to where we don't see each other at all." Tohru said, "It's all my fault...if I hadn't been spending so much time with Kisa....you wouldn't have turned to Momiji. This wouldn't have happened if it weren't for me being so selfish and for that I'm sorry Tokiko." Tokiko said, "It's not your fault Tohru...I shouldn't have gone to the Estate in the first place...I should've listened." Tohru half smiled at Tokiko. Momiji gripped Tokiko's hand tighter. Yuki walked back into the room with the cup of water. He handed it to Tokiko. She slowly sat up in the bed and drunk the water. Tohru said, "Does that feel better?" Tokiko nodded and said, "Yes, it felt like my throat was gonna explode!" Haru said, "You we're screaming the entire time before you went unconscious."
Tokiko said, "I'd like to be alone right now. I'm tired and I need rest. My body still hurts, so I'd like everyone to leave." Tohru and Momiji said at the same time, "I won't!" Tokiko looked at them and said, "Leave...I still have to wrap my head around this entire situation. I need time guys..." Momiji and Tohru looked at each other and got up from Tokiko's side. The 4 walked out the room. Tokiko looked at the window and gazed at the moonlight. She said to herself, "I was unconscious for awhile. I went to the Estate in the afternoon and now it's completely dark..." There was a knock at the door. Tokiko said, "I know it's you Kyo onii-Chan...just come in." The door opened slowly. Kyo walked in with tears falling down his face. He stared at Tokiko. She said, "Don't just stare, sit down." Kyo slowly walked over to the bed. He sat down on the edge of the bed. He said, "Did Tohru tell you what Akito ordered?" Tokiko hung her head and said, "Yes...but I don't wanna leave Kyo...You and Yuki will come save Tohru and I right?" Kyo reached back and patted Tokiko on her head. He looked back at her and said, "I don't think we can this time, Tokiko..." A single tear fell from Tokiko's eye and she said, "I'm such a wimp..."
Kyo turned around to face Tokiko. He put both of his hands on Tokiko's face. Her eyes went wide and she remembered the way her father used to do the same thing. Kyo said, "You're so strong Tokiko! You took a horrible beating and you're still going. You're alive, you're talking, you're breathing....You didn't even need to go to the hospital. You're one bad ass girl! I've never met someone quite like you Tokiko." She closed her eyes and smiled at Kyo. He smiled at Tokiko. She hugged Kyo and said, "I don't wanna leave you!" Kyo hugged her back quickly before he transformed. Kyo's cat form curled up and laid down beside Tokiko. He said, "I'll sleep with you tonight. And tomorrow morning, we can make breakfast together. You can spend your last moments at this house, with your favorite person; me." Tokiko said to herself, "Momiji is my favorite person, but I'm gone let him think that he is." Kyo said, "Please fall asleep, just in case I transform soon." Tokiko laughed and said, "I am...I don't wanna see whatever disgusting things you have." Kyo hissed at Tokiko.
She laughed and laid down. Kyo climbed onto Tokiko's arm and licked her face. He thought Tokiko was asleep. He said, "I love you so much Tokiko. You'll forever be my little sister." Tokiko smiled to herself and continued to fall asleep. Tohru soon walked upstairs. She said, "I'm gonna go check on her.." Yuki and Shigure nodded their head. Haru and Momiji said, "It's pretty late, we should get back. We have school tomorrow." Momiji said, "I wanna see Tokiko, but I can't face her right now. Goodnight!" Yuki and Shigure waved the two bye. Tohru knocked on the door and got no answer. She pried the door open a little. She peered inside and seen Tokiko asleep and Kyo sleeping on the other side of her. Tohru whispered, "Awww, he's sleeping with her cause they both know this is the last day! That's so amazingly adorable! I guess I have to sleep in the living room tonight." Tohru closed the door and walked back downstairs. Shigure said, "You're not going to bed?" Tohru said, "Nope! Kyo is taking my spot tonight so I guess I'll sleep down here!" Shigure said, "You're welcome to sleep in my room!" Yuki said, "Absolutely not! Tohru, you can have my room." Tohru bowed her head and walked upstairs.
