"I mean having fights in relationships is normal! Healthy even!"
"I know, I just... How am I gonna make it up to him? He just wanted to share his plans with me and I wrecked it like a bitch!"
I've got my arms crossed and Joohyun sitting across me with my drink of choice on the table. After whatever happened with Beomgyu yesterday, I thought that I should ask Joohyun for some help because I'm still finding out my way with relationships and love, I'm totally inexperienced and I already jumped into a serious relationship at the ripe age of 17!
Dropping by at the cafe Joohyun works at has gotta be one of the best decisions I've ever made, they have top-tier drinks here and I get to talk with Joohyun.
"Have you... tried texting him?"
"I know he won't reply, if he thinks I'm scary when I'm mad then he's even scarier! Try taming a bear!"
"MAN, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU ANYMORE! I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS!" Joohyun slammed her hands on her table, pushed herself upwards, and stood up.
"Just-" I sighed, "What's a cool way of saying I'm sorry?"
Joohyun scratched the cap covering her hair, it's a part of their uniform, she shrugged, "The coolest way of saying sorry is saying sorry. It takes a lot for someone to apologize."
"Yeah but, words aren't enough. I need to show them through my actions or else he might think that I'm not being sincere."
"What makes you think that he'll think you're not being sincere?" Joohyun sat back down, brows pulled into a frown.
"I don't know, I..." I trailed off and looked down on my lap. Damn, this whole relationship thing was a lot harder than I expected.
"Jiyoung, entering a serious relationship doesn't only include sharing all those sweet moments with him. It's not just about the good parts, you need to be prepared for the bad too. Now the question here is... Are you?"
For Beomgyu? I am.
But honestly, I hate myself for not thinking this through before. There's so much I didn't know about relationships and I can't believe I'm only finding those out now! Now that I'm dating someone!
"Clearly, you aren't," Joohyun crossed her arms, "But it's Beomgyu we're talking about, you'd probably do everything for that guy. You always did, since you two were kids."
"Now, if you wanna make this work, which I know you do, then expect a lot of unexpected rocks being thrown in your way, and then stay. No matter how painful it gets, always stay. I have no idea how much you love him but I know enough to know that you'll stay for him."
"I'm here, I'll stay, and I won't go anywhere."
I suddenly remembered what Beomgyu said to me the other day. Joohyun's right, she always is.
I trust him enough to know that he'll stay. So I should do the same.
"Oh, and what do you know? My 15-minute break is up. I'll catch you later, call me if you need anything!"
Joohyun waved me goodbye before going back behind the counter, my eyes turned to the doors being swung open by someone entering the cafe.
It was Hyerin. And of all the places she had to choose to sit down, she really had to settle on the table next to mine. I wonder what she did every time she and Beomgyu got into disagreements.
I tried staying low in hopes of not catching her attention, I'm in no mood of having a conversation with her.
"Jiyoung?"
