The days after that car ride home were surprisingly fine and quiet, with the morning after being an exemption. Because when I told Soobin and Yeonha the whole story, Yeonha scolded me like how a mom would scold her daughter for doing something stupid. She said that I should've not given in so easily, and looking back on it, she's right. A bus ride would've sounded better but it already happened so there's nothing I can do about it anymore.

I walked out of my room in a dress shirt, a pair of shorts, underwear obviously, and nothing else, with the plans of visiting my Dad, then going straight to the most convenient mall to find anything to wear for Yoweon's wedding. I would go with Yeonha for honest opinions or any other of my friends, but I don't wanna disturb them, surely there's at least going to be one staff there to help me.

Expecting a peaceful day ahead, I stepped into the kitchen downstairs and opened the fridge, grabbing an apple, barely awake.

Until I turned towards the living room and saw a random person sitting on the couch, now fully awake.

"OH MY GOD!" My first instinct was to throw the apple I was holding at whoever this person was and it surprisingly hit them on the head, I watched the apple fall to the ground and assessed what was happening. I couldn't see or recognize anything because I wasn't wearing my glasses but whoever this is, I don't know this person!

"WHO ARE YOU?! WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE?!"

"Ji-"

He stood up from the couch so I took multiple steps back into the kitchen, taking the nearest knife from the knife holder, which just so happened to be the biggest one as well. I pointed the knife at the person with one hand and let the other hold onto the counter behind me.

"I'M GONNA SAY IT ONE MORE TIME... WHO ARE YOU?! AND WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE?!"

"Jesus Christ, Jiyoung, It's me!"

I paused when I heard his voice, squinting at the blurry figure and slowly starting to recognize that the 'random person' I threw an apple at was actually Beomgyu.

Wait... Beomgyu?!

That's one question answered, but why is he here?! All of this is happening at 7 in the morning!

"What the hell are you doing here?" I put the knife down and let my arm fall back to my waist since I don't see him as a threat now. My hand was still on the counter though, already exhausted from the sudden adrenaline I got after I literally just woke up.

"My mom told me to pick up the plants your mom promised to give her, I had no idea our mothers have been doing this entire bargaining system with each other about plants so can you please put the knife down now? I didn't wanna go here either but great heavens, was I blessed to be an only child!~" Beomgyu reasoned out with sarcasm.

I followed his wishes and slammed the knife down on the connected counter beside me, gesturing to it with a smile, "Happy?"

He exhaled and sat back down now that I'm unarmed. The two of us were glaring at each other while panting like we had just come from a wrestling match. Not a very good way to kick-start someone's day if you ask me.

"Not even a 'good morning' geez..." He rolled his eyes.

"I'm sorry if I had terrible eyes and thought you were a fucking intruder sitting on the couch!"

"You, 100%, still would've thrown that apple at me even if you knew who I was."

I scoffed, "That's defamation."

"Architect Lee, I beg to differ."

I was about to talk back again when my mom came out of her bedroom, confused about the mayhem she walked into. There was an apple on the living room floor, a large knife sitting on the counter, me and Beomgyu staring dead into one another's souls, and do I have to repeat, it was roughly 7 a.m.
