"What are you doing here?!"

"What are you doing here?"

We both were flabbergasted when we said the exact same thing together, but he looked more surprised than I was, probably.

"I'm visiting," I answered as calmly as possible, "Can't I?"

"I never said that!"

"Then why are you shouting?"

"Because I'm shocked," He fired back, looking too alarmed, "Can't I?" He even got the nerve to ridicule me.

"I never said that," I repeated what he said but without sounding too much like a more deranged version of doodlebob.

Beomgyu heaved a sigh, turned around, and began whispering stuff to himself loud enough for me to hear but still not enough for me to understand them cohesively. We both were undeniably nervous except he sucks at hiding it while I'm on the verge of actually showing it.

I pursed my lips and caressed my nape with one hand, using the other to close the door behind me. Slowly, I walked over to him without him realizing it, I did so carefully but I'm starting to think that it was a bad idea sneaking up on him while he's reciting his every thought through mutters right now. If I just suddenly made my presence known and he'd see me standing so close to him, he'd either yell out loud or just jump off the building.

And here I thought he moved on... maybe he's really just a great actor that even I was deceived.

But I'm honestly amazed to see him still in the same spot as me. 8 years? I mean, when I left him, he thought I fell out of love, which is obviously not true, but how does he not look like he's mad at me? I'd be mad at me if I were him but he isn't? That's a shocker, knowing how he'd hold a grudge at some people...

"Okay, why don't we-"

"FUCK!" Beomgyu yelled and spun around like I predicted. Both of his hands were on the barricades now, supporting his entire body, dropping his cap on the ground as a process. Sheesh, never expected him to still be such a mess when he's anxious.

"At least inform me about walking closer?!"

"My bad," I put my hands up in the hair in sarcasm, "I didn't know we were supposed to tell people about walking."

Beomgyu glared at me up and down, taking the chance to scan me while I was standing close to him. He doesn't look like he's all that happy about us reuniting, or he's trying to.

I let my hands fall to each side of my hips again and bent down to get his cap, returning it to him right after, trying to maintain a straight face all the while, "As I was saying, why don't we do this properly?"

"... Explain... please?" He furrowed his brows while cautiously retrieving his cap from me.

"Hello," I greeted politely, "How were you?" I held my hand out for a formal handshake but Beomgyu only scowled at it, reluctant about shaking it.

He gently and almost jokingly yanked it away, snickering right after, still frowning, "Cut the shenanigans on me, Jiyoung. I'm not one of your clients."

"Alright, back to my initial question then; What are you doing here?" I crossed my arms, he's grumpier now. Or maybe only now that I suddenly showed up unexpectedly.

"Like... here in school or here in Daegu?"

"Both."

"Why do you want to know?"

"Got a better way to start a conversation?"

"And what makes you think I'll want to have one with you?"
