I quietly follow my brothers through the dark forest in confusion. One minute, we were in the bunker, the next we seemed to teleport to this place. It wouldn't be too weird, considering our line of work, if it wasn't so dark. Because it's only the afternoon. I keep my blade in my hand, at my side. I frown, just now realising we have passed by the same tree three times. "I think we're going in circles" I speak up. "What makes you think that?" Dean replies. I shrug "Oh, I don't know. Just that we have passed this tree about three times now". They both stop to look at the tree and Sam sighs "She's right". "Well, this is obviously a trick. There's always some way out" Dean explains. "Is there though, Dean-o? Come on, guys. I thought you were smarter than this" A voice suddenly booms from within the darkness, making me jump. My brothers share a look as if they know what we're dealing with. That's when a man with golden hair appears, leaning against a tree. He sucks on a lollipop and has a cheeky smirk on his face. However, I panicked and threw my blade at him. Somehow, it stabs him in the chest. He seemed caught off guard by this, from the slight surprise in his features before it returns to the smirk just as quick as it disappeared. He slowly takes the blade out of his chest, seemingly healing the wound as he does so. "Well, hello to you too, sweetheart" He chuckles. "So, this was all you this whole time?" Sam questions. The stranger grins "Yep!". "Why?" Dean replies. "I was bored, I wanted to get your attention. I was just itching for a trick and I just happened to be in the neighbourhood. However, I didn't expect you to have this cutie with you. What's your name, sweetheart?" Is the response. I blush lightly, and Dean steps a bit closer to me protectively. "She's our sister" Sam replies. The... being rolled his eyes "I believe I was talking to her, Samantha". He walks towards me "Now, what's your name? Don't be shy, you just stabbed me". I sigh, feeling slightly intimidated "I'm y/n. Who, and what, are you?". He smiles "The name's Gabriel, and I'm an archangel. I'm a friend of your brothers". Dean frowns "Friend is an overstatement". Gabriel rolls his eyes, a cheeky glint in them "Yeah, I love you too, Dean". "Gabriel, seeing as I seem to have nothing to do with this. Can you at least let me out?" I ask, earning looks from my brothers. The archangel chuckles and nods "Of course, cutie". "And let them out too, please" I add. Gabriel looks at me "Alright". He snaps his fingers and we are back in the bunker.

A few weeks later

Ever since that day, Gabriel has stuck around more often. My brothers seem to have a disliking towards him and they have told me what he did to them. Dean keeps telling me to stay away from him, but he's pretty nice to me. I walk into the library of the bunker to see Gabriel sitting at one of the tables. I was expecting Sam to be there. I furrow my eyebrows. He looks up at me from the book he was reading "Hey, cutie". Yeah, I've been meaning to talk to him about that. "Yeah, um... why do you keep calling me that?" I ask. He smiles slightly "Isn't it obvious?". I frown in confusion "Not really". He chuckles a little, then shrugs
"I think you're cute". I blush a little "Oh...". "You can sit with me, by the way. I don't bite... unless you want me to" He smirks. I sigh, attempting not to blush more as I sit across from him "So, where are my brothers? You didn't send them to TV land again, did you?". He chuckles "Oh, you heard about that, did you? No, I didn't send them anywhere. They found a case and asked me to babysit". I furrow my eyebrows "No they didn't". He smiles "Smart cookie. No, they didn't ask me to babysit. But they did find a case. Took Cas with them. You were still sleeping, so I'm the researcher for the day". I nod "Okay, well that I can believe". I look at the cover of the book he is reading. I tilt my head "Why are you reading about angels?". He shrugs "I got bored". "And to not be bored... you read about yourself?" I smile a little. He chuckles "Wouldn't you?". I shake my head "I wouldn't read about myself, no". He nods "That's humble of you". I rest my arms on the table "Gabriel...". He hums "Yeah, cutie?". I blush "Stop calling me that". He chuckles "Alright, what's up?". "You're an archangel" I reply. He gasps dramatically "I am? Well, I never would've guessed that". I giggle, shaking my head "That's not what I meant". He laughs softly
"See? You are cute". I feel my cheeks heat up "No, I'm not". He grins "Alright, you're really cute". I smile shyly "Gabriel". He sighs
"Okay, what was it you were saying before?".

I look at him "Well, um... Cas never really gave me straight answers and I kinda want to know more". He raises an eyebrow "About angels?". I nod slowly and a small smile appears on his face "You want me to teach you?". "Y-You don't have to. It's... stupid and probably will get annoying. I don't want to waste your time" I reply nervously. He grins "Nonsense! I'd be happy to. It's not stupid and you aren't annoying. I'll answer all your questions as best as I can". I sit up a little "Really?". He nods "Well, it isn't every day I get to talk about myself". I smile "I highly doubt that". He chuckles
"You'd be surprised. So, what questions do you have?". I shrug "A lot". He smiles slightly "Okay, come sit here. I'm gonna show you something". I nod "Okay". I stand up, then walk around the table to sit on the chair next to him.

He picks up the book he was reading and puts it in between us. He was on a page that had a strange symbol on it. One that I hadn't ever seen before. "What is that?" I ask. "It's the horn of me" He replies. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion "Um... What?". He chuckles "Well, it's the horn of Gabriel. It doesn't exactly summon me. But if I let it, it'll show up wherever I am. And usually, I'm not too far away from it". I nod "Oh, well that's good to know". He looks at me "Is it?". I shrug "Means if you get lost, we'll be able to find you". He smiles "I suppose... if I want to be found, that is". I tilt my head "What would make you not want to be found?". He shrugs "I don't know". I look at the book again "Hey, here's a question. Cas told me that human food tastes like molecules to him. But you seem to eat candy fine. Can some angels taste food, or is it just you?". He chuckles "No... it doesn't really work like that. No angel needs to eat, or sleep for that matter. Therefore, the taste isn't necessary". I frown in confusion "So... how come you can taste candy?". He smirks "A trickster never reveals his secrets". I chuckle "One, that's a magician. And two, you aren't a trickster. You're an Archangel". He smiles "As we discovered earlier. But you make valid points". I look at him "So... are you gonna answer my question?". He chuckles "Well, I guess I just got used to it". "Wait, so you can't taste the candy you eat?" I question him. He shakes his head "Not the candy you'd find in a store. But I can taste what I conjure up". He snaps his fingers and two cherry lollipops appear in his hand. He gives one to me and keeps the other for himself. I nod, glancing at the book again. I missed the soft smile on his face before pointing out more information.
