I sigh heavily "Dean, stop it. Honestly, I'm fine. I don't need all this". He rolls his eyes "Y/n, you look and sound awful. You need to rest, there's no use in coming with us if you're sick". I frown "But I'm not-". He gives me a look "Yes, you are. I'm sorry, I know you hate this. But you have to rest, it'll make you feel better and then you can join us on hunts again. And drink lots of hot beverages and take medicine". I pout, crossing my arms like a child as he once again covers me with the duvet. He kisses my forehead, then ruffles my hair affectionately "Please do us all a favour and stay here, sweetheart". I sigh "Fine". He smiles "Okay, we'll be back as soon as we can".

Later

I sit up upon hearing a flutter of wings and see Gabriel. He was about to say something, then paused "Woah, you look like death". I sigh "Aw, thanks. That's the sweetest thing anyone's ever said to me". He chuckles, then hums "Sound like it too. Are you alright?". I roll my eyes "I'm fine. Dean thinks I'm sick, so he made me stay in here while him, Sam and Cas abandoned me for a hunt". He pursed his lips "Well... you ain't looking so hot at the moment, honey. So, I think he made the right decision". My mouth drops open "Why are you taking his side?!". He chuckles "I don't want to. But maybe spending the day in bed isn't the worst idea in the world". I pout "But, I'm not sick, Gabe! I'm fine". He sighs "Okay, well... what if I stayed here with you to NOT look after you, NOT provide you with hot drinks, soup, medicine and anything else you want and NOT watch TV with you to NOT keep you company while you are NOT sick". After he had finished speaking, I sneezed and he chuckles "Totally not sick, sugar". I sigh as he sits on the edge of my bed "Fine, only because you need to though". He nods "Of course". He snaps his fingers and a table appears beside my bed with a tray of soup, a hot orange, a box of tissues, medicine and throat sweets, grapes, strawberries and a glass of Apple juice. "Anything else you don't want?" He asks and I smile "Chocolate, please". He gasps "Oh, of course. How could I forget?". I giggle as he snaps his fingers again and a box of chocolates appears on the table as well. Then he gets a bunch of blankets to put over me and he smiles "Permission to cuddle?". I chuckle and nod, holding my arms out to him. He joins me on the bed, then moves to lie as close to me as possible before putting his arms around me. I smile slightly before resting my head on his chest. "Gabriel, thank you" I mumble. He smiles, kissing my head "No problem, honey".

He snaps his fingers to turn my TV on "What do you wanna watch?". I shrug "Anything, I don't mind". He sticks Friends on and I smile "You know me so well". He chuckles "I like to think so, yes". Then he sighs "Okay, you have to eat now". He reaches over me to grab the bowl of soup and I go to take it. "Let me feed you" He whines, making me laugh before allowing him to raise a spoonful of chicken noodle soup to my lips. When I was done, he snapped the bowl away and got me to drink some of the hot orange. After that, we lay down again and I put my head on his shoulder. As I was watching the TV, I could feel my eyelids getting heavier and it got harder to keep them open.

Third POV

Gabriel could feel her falling asleep on him. She jumped when she realised, trying her best not to but he just smiled softly. "It's okay, sweetheart. Go to sleep, you're fine" He whispers, rubbing her arm soothingly. He held her a little tighter against him before mumbling comforting things in her ear. "Gabe" She sighs, closing her eyes. "Shh, shh, you're okay. I've got you" He coos and he didn't have to wait too long before she fell asleep. Her breaths evened out, her head buried into his shoulder while her hand laid on his chest. Gabriel smiled softly, making sure she was comfortable and warm enough. Then he lay back himself, being careful not to wake her up. He didn't need to sleep, but he closed his eyes anyway. It felt nice being close to her. It was easier for him to make sure she was okay. He wasn't her boyfriend, but he wanted to be and he was pretty sure she liked him too. She sent so many confusing signals that he couldn't be certain. But at the same time he knew fine well that she wouldn't let him do this if she didn't feel something for him.

After a while he heard voices in the hallway and opened his eyes. "Y/n, we're back!". Sam and Dean appeared in the doorway and found Gabriel with their younger sister. "Gabriel, what do you think you're-" Dean starts. Gabe glares at him "Shut up, Dean. You're gonna wake her up". He looks down at her as she moved in her sleep. But let out a sigh of relief when she didn't wake up. Sam sighs before whispering "Dean, come on. We can be protective of her later. Let's just leave her to sleep". Dean frowns, then sighs heavily "Fine". They leave and Gabriel winced when he heard her tired, scratchy voice mumble his name. She didn't open her eyes, but he frowned "Shh, go back to sleep, honey. It was just your stupid loud brothers". She hummed and to his relief, quickly went back to sleep. He shifted to a more comfortable position, then sighed in content before starting to run his fingers through her hair.

He could get used to this...
