After getting back from a case, Sam and Dean walk in to see a side of Gabriel they had never seen before. They had never seen their little sister this happy.
________

Gabriel takes my hand as we leave the restaurant and head down the street in the direction of the bunker. "Did you not see the way she was staring at you? She looked like she wanted to eat you" I tell him. He smirks "Well, she has good taste". I elbow him in the ribs, making him chuckle. I sigh "But she was giving you all kinds of signals. There was definitely a weird look in her eye, maybe she was a demon. Do you think she was a demon?". He hums "Someone sounds jealous". I roll my eyes "I wasn't jealous, Gabe. I'm just pointing out that-". He chuckles softly, stopping me from walking by stepping in front of me "Y/n... you have nothing to worry about. I don't care who's looking at me, the only thing that matters to me is if I have your attention". I look at him "Really?". He smiles, nodding "I don't even notice other women anymore. You're the only one I want. I love you". I smile shyly "I love you too, Gabriel". He chuckles "So, you have nothing to worry about, sweetheart. Okay?". I nod "Okay".

We continue on walking and make it back to the road that leads to the bunker. As we did, it started to rain. The smell of fresh rain fills the air while the sky darkens. A small grin appears on my face as I pause to look up at the grey clouds, which are quickly covering the blue sky. Which forced Gabriel to stop as well. He squeezes my hand, making me look at him again. He gives me a small smile "Something wrong?'. I shake my head "No... I just like the rain". I look at the view again as the rain starts to fall heavier. "Yeah, I do too" I hear him mumble. I smirk "I'll race you back to the bunker". He chuckles "You're on". We both take off down the road, laughing and shoving each other around as the rain pelts down on us.

By the time we reach the door, both of us are absolutely drenched. He laughs as I celebrate my victory "Please, I let you win". I giggle "Still counts". He smiles, moving closer to me before putting his arms around my waist. Rain drops fall down his face as he looks at me and I smile. His warm whiskey eyes gaze into my green ones. He breathes heavily "I love you so much". I blush as he kisses my cheek. "I love you too" I reply quietly. "Come on, we stay out here any longer and you'll catch a cold" He tells me. I shake my head "I don't wanna go in yet". He reaches up to brush my soaked hair out of my face "I know, sweetheart. But I don't want you getting sick. So, come on. We can continue this inside, your brothers are still out". I nod "Okay".

Gabriel poofs us into the bunker, then snaps his fingers and we are both dry, warm and he put me in pyjamas while he wears a simple t-shirt and plaid pyjama bottoms.

Hours later

The boys enter the bunker from the garage after Dean parked the Impala in there, out of the rain. He was following Sam to the main room when his brother stopped in the doorway. Dean glared at his back "Dude, what the-". Sam shushes him, telling him to look. The older Winchester rolled his eyes before moving to see what the hold up was and he quickly saw what Sam was looking at. Y/n and Gabriel. They were in the middle of the room, slow dancing with no music. Seeing how close Gabe was to his little sister, Dean was about to go over and confront them when Sam stopped him. "Don't you dare" There was a warning tone in Sam's voice. With a sigh, Dean looked back at the couple. They didn't even acknowledge them, they were in their own little world. As he watched them, Dean noticed the look in Gabe's eyes. There was no cheeky or mischievous glint, not even a hint of lust. Just pure love as they whispered to each other. He couldn't make out anything they were saying, but it made y/n giggle. And Gabe smiled at the sound of it. For a powerful ethereal being, he sure was soft and gentle with her. Y/n had her head on his chest and they were just swaying. His arms were around her waist, tight enough for her to feel safe and not tight enough to hurt her. Dean wasn't sure how he felt about his sister being so close with the trickster.

He looks at Sam for a moment "You think it's too late to stop this from happening?". He nods "Yeah, it's too late, Dean. But she looks happy, doesn't she? I mean, I don't think I've seen her this happy before". "But, it's... it's Gabriel. Remember? Killed me a bunch of times, trapped us in TV land. Oh, and I still haven't forgiven him for flirting with y/n when I specifically told him not to. Any of those things ring a bell?". Sam sighs "Dean, I haven't forgiven him for those things either. And believe me, I won't ever forget about it. But he clearly cares about her. And to me, she looks happy and that's all I care about. I don't know about you, but I want y/n to be happy. Besides, if we try anything to jeopardise their relationship, she will hate us. There's nothing we can do". "You're probably right" Dean huffs.

Y/n's POV

"Looks like we have an audience" Gabe whispers to me. I sigh "I don't care". "Really?" He questions. I nod "I don't want you to go, Gabe". He frowns "I know, sweetheart. But you know they won't let me stay much longer". If it's possible, I managed to pull him closer to me "I've decided I'm not letting you go anywhere. So, you have no choice but to stay". He chuckles, then smirks "Oh, really? Well, I guess I'll just have to stay then". I smile "You can stay in my room". "I don't think your brothers will appreciate that, sweetheart. But I do live to irritate them, so let's have a sleepover!" He replies. I giggle "Okay, come on". He smiles "Hold on, I'll be there in a minute, okay? You go ahead". I nod "Okay, don't annoy Dean". He gasps dramatically "Me? I would never". I chuckle before pulling away from him to head to my room. I waved to my brothers before leaving.

Third POV

The boys enter the room properly and Gabriel walks over to them "Look, before you say anything, I need to say this. I know you don't trust me and if I had known I would... care about your sister as much as I do now, I wouldn't have done those things to you. Well... maybe not as harsh as I did. But I want you to know that I love y/n. I'm all kinds of in love with her and I won't let anything happen to her. I won't hurt her, Dean. I promise. She means too much to me". Both Sam and Dean were a little taken aback by his words. "Well, we appreciate that. Thank you, Gabriel" Sam replies. Dean sighs "Dammit. Alright, I don't trust you, but I know she does. So, if you ever do anything to break that trust, it'll be the last thing you do". Gabe nods "Understood. Now, I better be off. Y/n is patiently waiting". Dean sighs "Oh, I'm already regretting this". Gabriel grins in response "Nope, I already took that as the Winchester Approval. No take backs!". Sam shakes his head as they watch the archangel practically skip to the doorway. He pauses when he reaches the doorway, a smirk on his face "Hm... all the things I'm gonna do to her tonight". Dean glares at him "Don't push it, Gabriel". The angel winks at Sam, letting him know he's just winding Dean up. "Pushing it is my middle name, boys" He chuckles before swaggering out to the hallway. Sam had to hold his brother back from going after him "Dean, he's joking. He isn't gonna do anything to her". Dean growls before yelling "Don't touch her, Gabriel!". They could hear a soft chuckle from the hallway, which meant that he had been waiting for Dean's response "Wouldn't dare, Dean-o".

Gabriel headed down the hallway, satisfied with how his joke had played out. Of course, he wouldn't ever do anything like that to her. But it was fun to get a reaction from the oldest Winchester. He reaches her door, which had been left open. He found himself smiling softly at what he saw. Y/n had fallen asleep. She was on top of the covers and her head was at the foot of the bed. All previous thoughts had left his mind. She looked so peaceful and pretty damn cute, he didn't want to wake her up. But she also said that she didn't want him to leave. So, he quietly steps into the room and walks over to the bed. With ease, he lifts her up to put her at the correct end of the bed. She stirred a little as he did so.

"Gabe" She mumbles. "Shhh, shh, shh. Go back to sleep" He whispers. Silently thanking his dad for angel Grace, he uses it to pull the covers back. Then he puts her back on the bed and tucks her in. He kneels down beside the bed before brushing his thumb over her cheek. He smiles slightly "Sweet dreams,
y/n". As he went to stand up, she caught his shirt "Gabe, stay". He sighs, unable to say no to her "Okay, sweetheart. Are you sure?". She nods into her pillow and he smiles "Alright, give me two minutes". He gently makes her let go of his shirt, then stands up to walk to the other side of the bed. He climbs in under the covers, snapping his fingers to turn the lamp off. Then she rolled over to move closer to him, making him chuckle softly. She rests her head on his chest, quickly falling back to sleep. He smiles, kissing her head before settling in for the rest of the night. She seemed to forget that he didn't need to sleep. But he wasn't about to tell her that.
