Two days later
We are all at the airport, waiting for the plane to arrive. Rich has two of his boys with him. Fletcher and Frank. His oldest, Steve wanted to stay at his friend's house for the weekend. Rob's oldest, Calvin went with him. His daughter came with us though. Audrey is nine, the same age as Fletch. Daniel is the same age as Frank and they all get along pretty well. They treat each other like siblings. I am sitting beside Rob with Ayla on my lap. Rich went to get some snacks while we wait for the plane to arrive. It didn't take long. But as he was on his way back, a young girl approached him. She didn't look much older than 16. She talks to him and he smiles at her, nodding. They take a picture and she continues on her merry way. Rob chuckles "I'll never understand why he gets recognised more than me". I smile "Maybe they do recognise you, but everyone just prefers Gabriel". He gasps "Hey! You take that back". I giggle, shaking my head. "What are you two yapping about?" Rich chuckles as he sits next to me after giving the kids the snacks to share. "Oh, good Richie. Give them more of a reason to be hyper" I sigh, watching as multiple bags of sweets are pulled out. Rich shrugs "It's a long flight". Ayla starts to fidget in my lap and whines. "What's wrong, sweetie?" I ask her. She mumbles something incoherently and I sigh "I know, we'll be on the plane soon".
_____As we are lining up at the gate, I struggle to carry Ayla and the carry on bag at the same time. Rich notices "Want me to take her? Or the bag?". I sigh "Um, yeah thanks". He takes Ayla and sits her on his hip while I put the bag over my shoulder. "You two make great parents" An older woman comments, smiling as she walks past us. I glance at Rich, then look back at her "Oh, um... we're not-". Before I could finish my sentence, she walked away. Rich chuckles, shrugging
"Well, she ain't wrong. We are both great parents". I roll my eyes playfully "Shut up". When he is organised, Rob speaks up "Okay, before we get on the plane. Is everyone here?". Rich sighs "We already did a head count, Bobbo. But let's do another one anyway". He moves Ayla up higher on his hip "You wanna help me count, munchkin?". She giggles "Richie, I don't know how". He chuckles
"Well, it's never too early to learn". He takes her hand and uses it to point to himself and everyone else "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Oh, look Rob. Everyone's still here". Rob shakes his head before mumbling "It was a precaution". I chuckle at the two "Guys, come on. We're holding up the line". Rich walks up with his boarding pass first and as he does so, Rob leans in "You know, it's kinda obvious". I look at him "What's obvious?". He smiles knowingly "Nothing. Just the feelings you have for each other, it isn't going unnoticed". "You mean our feelings for each other as friends?" I question, daring him to say anything else on the matter. He chuckles "You should tell him, Liv. There's no way he would even think of turning you down". "I beg to differ, Robbie" I sigh. He hums "Agree to disagree". We round up all the kids and head down the hallway to the plane.
_______Sorry this one is kinda short, but writing travelling parts is boring. So, in the next one they will be at the convention.
