Henley is the daughter of Crowley. Half human, half demon. However, she is close with the boys and Cas, which led her to meet Gabriel. She can't control her demon powers and Gabriel has been helping her.
_______"Henley, if you don't get out of that bed in the next five seconds, I will personally drag you out myself".
"Gabe, I'm tired! We've been training all week and we haven't gotten anywhere! My body hurts and I think I'm dying. So I give up, you're fired. You may go home now". I hear him chuckle as he poofs into my room, then sits on the edge of my bed. "You can't give up, Henz. I won't let you and it isn't rest day, so quit procrastinating" He replies. I roll over on to my back to look up at him "Remind me again why I'm doing this?". He smiles "So your dad doesn't have a fit and kill me for failing to help you". I shrug "That sounds like a you problem". "Well, excuse me for wanting to live" He hums. I sigh "But why am I doing this, Gabe? There isn't even any point anymore. I can't do anything!". I groan and a book flies off of a shelf and lands on the other side of the room, knocking over some other things. Gabriel looks at me pointedly "Well, you can do that". I frown "Gabriel". He sighs "Alright, calm down, okay? We really should work on that. But if you can't control your powers, millions of people could get hurt. Including the people you care about. And, you know, we won't have random earthquakes and volcano eruptions popping up anymore". "Hey, neither of those were my fault" I argue. He shrugs "Never said they were. But it'll continue to happen if you don't get a grip of your powers. So, come on. Let's go". He pats my knee before getting up "I have some easier things to try today anyway". I sigh heavily, reluctantly getting up to follow him.
Later
We had been away for hours now, in our usual field and I was hanging on by a thread. But Gabe insisted we keep going "Okay, so as the last time didn't go so well, I figured it would be best to start small again. So, make something appear out of thin air". I raise an eyebrow "How am I supposed to do that?". He shrugs "Like this". He lifts his hand up, then snaps his fingers and a cherry lollipop appears in his hand. He pops it in his mouth "Now, you try. Just think of an object, focus on what it is, what looks like, feels like, etcetera. And then snap your fingers, like so". He repeats the action again, making another lollipop appear. I purse my lips, clearing my throat awkwardly "Alright". I think about a chocolate bar and focus on it. After a few minutes, I give up "Yeah, that's not working. Why not try something else?". He shakes his head "No. Henz, just focus. Then snap your fingers". I sigh "Gabe, I can't". "Yes, you can. I know you can, Henley" He replies. I sigh heavily "No, Gabe. I can't... I literally can't do it". He looks at me "Why not?". I huff "I can't snap my fingers, okay?! I don't know how to. That's why, Gabriel!". He looks a little taken aback by my outburst. The tension is thick between us and the longer he doesn't say anything, the more upset I become. Tears fall down my cheeks as I scream in frustration. Not particularly at Gabe. But at everything.
Gabriel seemed to snap out of whatever trance he was in when it suddenly started pouring from the Heavens. Literally. Thunder roared and lightning streaked across the sky and hit a tree, which unfortunately was in it's way. It caught fire. Gabe quickly walks over to me "Hey, hey. It's okay, don't cry. Please calm down, Henz". He pulls me into a hug and I cry into his chest "I'm never going to get it". He rubs my back "Shh, yes you will. I promise. Now, come on. We're both getting soaked and I don't think this sudden storm will go unnoticed. So, please try and calm down". "Gabriel, I can't. I'm not strong enough" I cry. He sighs "Henz, I'm gonna stop it. But I can't until you calm down, okay? It'll just happen again". I bury my face into the crook of his neck, hugging him tightly. He whispers soothing things into my ear. "Deep breaths. Focus on my voice, okay? You're alright" He mumbles. I sigh quietly as my breaths even out, albeit a little shaky. I don't let go of him, even though I've calmed down. He rubs my arm a little "Okay, good". I hear him snap his fingers and everything goes back to normal. The sun is back out. The tree is fine again. The thunder has stopped and we are both no longer sopping wet. The strange thing was, I didn't want to pull away from him. I wanted to stay in his arms. He flinches a little when he looks at me. I frown "What?". He shakes his head "Sorry, your eyes changed to red again. It's a little alarming sometimes". I nod "Right, sorry".
"Hey, you okay now?" He asks softly. I nod a little "Yeah, I... I think so". After a few minutes, he lets go of me and sits on the grass. Then he pats the space next to him. I sit beside him and he looks at me and smiles a little "So... you don't know how to snap your fingers?". I blush a little "No...". He chuckles "Well, looks like we need to get our priorities straight here. Forget the training, how do you not know how to snap your fingers?". "Hey, it's hard!" I try to defend myself. "Sweetheart, four-year-olds can do it" He grins. I roll my eyes, mumbling under my breath. He raises his hand to snap his fingers, clearly just to tease me. I glare at him playfully "Gabriel, stop or I'll mess up your hair". He gasps dramatically "You wouldn't". "Watch me" I reply, cheekily sticking my tongue out at him. He chuckles, moving away a little "Don't even think about it. You have any idea how long it takes to look this good?". I shrug "Not long, I would imagine. It is just a vessel, right?". He looks at me a little offended, but then whistles slowly "Oh, this just got personal". I giggle and he smiles at me. I feel my cheeks heat up a little, so I look away from him. He chuckles before standing up "Come on, let's try again". He helps me up and I frown. He sighs "Hey, look at me". I do as told and he smiles slightly, then gently takes my hand "You can do this, sweetheart. Baby steps, remember? Now, let's try this again".
