I managed to find Rich backstage. He was talking to someone, then saw me and politely excused himself. I quickly walk over to him, starting to panic "Rich". He furrows his eyebrows "Hey, you okay?". I shake my head "No. I can't find Ayla anywhere. I was hoping she was with you". He sighs "No, she isn't with me. But it's gonna be fine, we'll find her, okay? She can't have gone far". I frown "That's the problem, Richie. I have everyone who isn't busy looking for her. No one can find her". He puts his hands on my shoulders "It's okay, Via. We'll find her, I promise. Come on, let's go".

Later

Rich curses under his breath as he hangs up. He has tried calling everyone. No one has found her yet. She may not be his child, but if anything happened to her, he would never forgive himself. He has searched everywhere. Some people even went back to the hotel to check there. They have security keeping an eye out. Olivia is freaking out even more now. They were close to cancelling the whole day until Ayla is found. He's even asked a few fans if they had seen her. He's lost count the amount of places he has checked. He exits the hallway and walks on to the main floor. A few people started to notice him, but he ignored them. He was praying that she wasn't hurt. Rob was still on stage, stalling for the panels that are due. He decides to call Misha since he hasn't heard from him in a while. He picks up within a few seconds. "Hey, man. Have you found her yet?" Rich asks him. "I haven't, Rich. I'm sorry" He replies, his voice sounding a little echoey. Rich furrows his eyebrows "It's okay. Where are you? You sound like you're out of breath and have a cold". "I'm in the air vents" He tells him. "You're in the air vents? What on earth are you doing up there?" Rich questions, shaking his head. "I thought she might've climbed her way in here. But I don't think that anymore" He sighs. "Yeah, now that you're up there?" Rich chuckles. "Yeah" Misha mumbles. "Well, get outta there, man. You have a panel in a few minutes" Rich laughs before hanging up. He shakes his head before continuing to look for Ayla.
After a while, Rich was getting kinda sick of having to push through the crowd. He was worried that Ayla had to do the same thing. It's scary and even more dangerous for a three-year-old.

He turns down another hallway and sighs "Come on, Ayla. Where are you?". There was a set of open double doors in the middle of the hall and as he walked through them, he heard a quiet sniffle. He paused in his step, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. Then he looks behind the door and sees Ayla there, sitting huddled in a ball. "There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you, sweetie. Everyone is worried sick about you" He sighs in relief.

Ayla recognised his voice and looked up at him "Richie". Her voice quivered and her eyes are red from crying. He frowns "Hey, munchkin. What are you doing all the way over here?". He kneels down to her height, then sits on the floor. He takes his phone out to text Olivia, telling her that he has found her and he'll bring her to the green room. Ayla wipes her eyes with her sleeve, sniffling "Richie, it's scary out there". Tears fall down her cheeks and his expression softens "Ayla, did you see something scary and run off?". She nods and he sighs before picking her up and sitting her on his lap. He gently wipes her tears away with his thumb "Hey, hey. Shh, it's okay. You're okay, I'm here now". She buries her face into his shirt and he rubs her back "It's okay". He holds her close to him until she stops crying. Eventually, she does and he stands up with her on his hip. "Okay, wanna go see your mama?" He asks softly. "Richie, no! Too much scary" She whines. He frowns, rubbing her back as he looks out at the floor. Seeing people in the usual costumes he sees every weekend, he takes a guess that she is afraid of those costumes. And rightly so. From a three-year-old's perspective, seeing all these demons and angels and witches and vampires and whatnot must be rather terrifying. She holds on to his shoulders, wrapping her arms around his neck. He smiles a little, then looks at her "Okay, munchkin. Let's play a game". She perks up a little "What game?". He hums "Well, it's called the imagination game. You can be whatever or whoever you want to be and you can choose who you want me to be. But whenever we walk through one of these magic doors, we have to change characters". She tilts her head "Okay". He smiles "Great. So, this is the first magic door. Who are you?". "I'm Ayla" She replies innocently. He laughs "No, Ayla. Do you want to be a unicorn, a fairy, a mermaid, a princess? What do you wanna be?". Her face lights up and he smiles. "Princess! You be the horsey!" She yells excitedly. He chuckles, nodding "Alright".

He throws his head back dramatically and makes a horse noise before running down the hall. Ayla giggles as he does so "Go, horsey. Go!". Luckily all the hallways connect to each other, so they'll find their way back to the green room eventually.
At the next double doors, Rich slows to stop and huffs out of breath. But Ayla is still laughing, so he keeps up with it. "Okay, now what are we?" He smiles. "You're a dragon. Don't eat me!" She yells. He chuckles. At least he won't have to run for this one. He puffs his chest out and deepens his voice "Oh, but little girls are my favourite". She squeals "No!". He starts to walk again "How about just a bite?".

She giggles, shaking her head
"I am not for eating, Mr Dragon". "But I'm very hungry. I've been living in this cave with nothing to eat for over a thousand years!" He improvises. "I'm not food!" She exclaims. "Not even a finger?" He questions, lifting her hand up, pretending to munch on her finger. She snatches it back "No!". He sighs "Alright, I won't eat you. But I will tickle you!". She screams as he starts to tickle her ribs. He chuckles as she attempts to push his hand away. "No! Richie, stop!" She laughs. He grins "What's the magic word?". "Please!" She giggles. He pauses for a second, pretending to think about it. He hums, then shakes his head "Hm... no, that isn't it. Oh, well. I guess I'll just have to tickle you some more". "No! Richie, no tickling!" She squeals. He sighs, then smiles "Okay, I won't. But only if you don't run away again. If you get scared, you come find me. Capiche?". She nods "Okay, Richie. I capiche". He smiles "Good". As they reach the green room door, he reluctantly puts her down and opens the door. He lets her in first and he swore he could hear everyone in there sigh in relief. Olivia hugs her tightly "Please don't ever do that again, Ayla". "I'm sorry, mommy" She mumbles.

Rich walks over to where the guys are sitting and sits next to Rob, who chuckles. "What?" Rich questions him. "So... you're not in love with her? Come on, man". He smiles slightly "I never denied it, Bobbo".
