When I finished talking to some of my friends about the party tonight, I went straight up to my room, hoping to find Ross, but he wasn't there. But Laura was, she was reading a magazine in the sofa and stopped reading it once she saw me. "Oh hey, (Y/n), how's it going?" She looked at me smiling, I half smiled back "It's going...fine...I guess." I said "Why is that?" She asked and I sat next to her "I..uh. I'm not sure anymore..." I said looking down "What do you mean?" She asked, I looked at her again. "Laura...it's going to sound crazy, but...please, just please don't take this the wrong way... But...since earlier, I've seen you and Ross like...together. So close. You were telling him something earlier when I got out of the bathroom. I even saw you guys talking while I was talking to some of my other friends. But, okay, I'm not telling you to back off from him or anything like that, but when he winked at you, giving you that...same smile he always gives me, that's where I was like 'what?' ..." I said. She looked at me confused "No, (Y/n), it's not what you think, trust me. Do you seriously think Ross would ever cheat on you? Honey, no! Ross would never do such thing." She said. Her tone was serious "Yeah, I know. Look I'm sorry for almost believing something else, you know...?" I said. "It's all good." She smiled "Hey we should go buy what we need for your party!" She added. "Sure thing, let's go!" I exclaimed.

Ross' POV:

I finally got to the Jewelry store. "Hey, kid, how may I help you?" An old man who seemed pretty kind asked me. I answered: "Uh yeah, I'm looking for something really special for someone I love so much. I need a...."

*10 minutes later*
"Thank you so much, Sir. I'm sure she's going to love it!" I said happily "No problem, kid. Hope everything turns out good. I wish you both the best of best. Please..I know that I don't know your girlfriend but..I know she's so special, you just told me about her and she sounds really sweet. Please protect her. Don't let her go. If you love someone, stay with them 'til the end." The man said "That's deep. Thanks so much. But...what about when people say "If you love them...let them go..."? Like I just don't get that." I said "Screw what people say! Trust me. Just don't do something stupid." I gave out a little laugh. "I won't. Thank you so much for the advice." I said. "Anytime." The man smiled, I smiled back and then I left. I'm going back to my baby's college. I'm so excited, I can't wait to show her this.

(Y/n)'s POV:
8:55 PM. More people are starting to get the room full...of people. (Well obviously 😂) I just got a text from Rossy saying "Hey babe, I'll be right over in just a few seconds, love you😘." I smiled. "Hey, (Y/n)!" Laura said "Oh hey!" I yelled due that the music was way too loud. "Your presents are right over there in the closet!" Laura said pointing at our closet "Why are they there?" I asked. "Long story!" She said. I just laughed. I don't know what she's talking about but okay. I turned around and then I saw Ross who was coming in the room now. I waved at him so he would look at me. He did. Ross passed between the crowd that was blocking our way to finally just see each other face to face. But we finally did after some long seconds. "Hey, babe." He kissed me, I obviously kissed him back. "Hey" I smiled "I've got you something. I wanted to give it to you earlier at the hotel but I decided; why not give it to her at her party?" Ross smiled, he was taking out this little gold box. "Here." He offered me to take it, I took it. I opened it and it was this little heart gold stone necklace. I covered my mouth with my left hand I was really impressed, while in the other hand, I was holding the box with the heart necklace in it. "Oh, my God, Ross! I love it!! This is real gold!" I exclaimed amazed. This is beautiful. "Thank you so much, babe." I hugged him tight, he hugged me back. "No problem, I bought it back in Cali, though. Open the heart."We cut the hug off. I opened the heart and I saw a picture of us together on both sides; right and left. The right one had the one from when we were so little. I think that was our very first picture together and the second one was the one my mom took of us when we were going to prom. A tear fell down my cheek. "You have no idea how much I love this, Ross. Really, thank you!" I hugged him once again, which made him hug me back. "You know that I love you so much, right?" He asked once we weren't hugging anymore and while I was putting my necklace on. "Yes, and I love you so much, too." I smiled. "Well..I want to ...I want to ask you something...but..it can't be here." Ross said "Why not?" I asked "It's way too loud and I want to ask you this in a peaceful place." He smiled. "Okay...we'll talk outside, okay?" I asked "Okay. I'll be right over there with you in just a sec." He smiled and I nodded.

Ross's POV:
While (Y/n) was going outside the room so we could talk and I could ask her the most important question in my life. I went to the kitchen to drink some punch. I found Laura there. "Hey, Laura." I said smiling, she smiled back "Hey! Is everything ready? " she asked "Yes!" I answered excitedly. "You seem so happy! I'm so glad for you! You got her promise ring, right? Please tell me you didn't lose it or anything, though." She gave out a giggle, I chuckled "Haha, no, I didn't lose it, I got it right here." I tapped my pant's pocket, my right leg where (Y/n)'s promise ring was and it was obviously in this little black box, though. "Thank you so much for helping me, Laura. I know that she just started college but I just can't wait to propose to her for once in for all! I know she'll say that she can't marry me now because of school but I'll just tell her that right after she graduates from college, we'll get married. I know she'll agree with that!" I added. "Aww, that's really, really sweet, Ross, and no problem." She walked up to me with the intention to hug me. But accidentally, she slipped I guess with some punch I dropped because of the excitement of proposing to (Y/n). Laura fell on me, making both of us fall to the ground, and making her being over me. "Oh, my Gosh, I'm so sorry! Are you okay!?" She asked alarmed. I laughed a little "Yeah, don't worry about it." I smiled and she got up, she gave me her hand to help me get up. I took it and got up. "Thanks." I told Laura.
"Ross?" I heard (Y/n)'s breaking voice asking for my name. I looked at her who was in front of the kitchen, few inches away from us. "(Y/n)....it was not what you think it was..." I said trying not to panic because I just hope she believes me and not think any other thing. "Do you really think I'm stupid!?" (Y/n) asked me yelling. "LAURA WAS ON TOP OF YOU! I SAW YOU TWO!!" I noticed how her eyes were about this close to burst out in tears. "(Y/n)! No! Let me explain!" I said, I was totally scared now. "You been cheating on me!" She said, now crying. Now I wanted to start crying too. "WHAT!? THAT'S SO NOT TRUE! I would never do that to you!!" I yelled. "You just did! I'm not stupid!!" She said yelling. "(Y/n), please believe him! It was totally not what you think it was!" Laura said. "Shut your mouth. I don't want to hear you!" Her voice started to break more and more each time she spoke. "Baby, please let me just explain..." I said walking up to her wanting to kiss or hug her but she got away. "Get out." She said. "What?" Yes...I was now crying. "I want you to get out, don't come back here. Go back to California and leave me alone now.!!" She said. "No...but, (Y/n), I love you..." I barely finished that sentence because of my heart breaking into millions of pieces. "I said....get out!" She yelled. And so I did.

(Y/n)'s POV:
When Ross told me to wait outside, I did. I waited for like more than 7 minutes and I just wanted to go back there to see what was taking him so long. So when I wanted to get in the kitchen, I saw Laura on top of him. She told him something, so did he to her, I don't know what, though, I didn't hear what they said because I just heard the loud noise of my heart breaking.
