"Well...Everyone but you. Since you're so good at getting lost it makes you the exception." she shrugged not looking at me, I should have been but i wasn't shocked by this comment. I lightly hit his arm and looked over at him annoyed.
"Well it's a good thing we got you back here before curfew though." He said with a heavy sigh after looking at what looked to be an engraved golden pocket watch.
"Thank you for helping me today Jacob." I gave him a grateful smile when he looked up at me putting the watch away in his right treasure pocket.
We stood there for a moment in silence staring at one another, i took a step forward and gently touched his arm but he didn't move. he continued to star into my eyes, we were locked and not even i could break it.
"J-Jacob? do you-" his movement cut me off, his hand slowly reach out to me still not saying a word. i took a step back a little creeped out but he did not follow.
"Jacob?" i whispered in a shaky voice, unsure if i should run. he took a step forwards slightly.
"Hold still." he himself whispered as if not to spook a timid dear, I felt my face go red once more as he took another step closer. I would say we were not chest to chest we were that close but i was smaller so where were face to chest.
his fingers looped into my hair and lightly he brushed his fingers through to before taking a step back and looking as though nothing hand happened. I looked at him completely dumbfounded as he looked down at me.
"you had something stuck in your hair" he said with a shrug like what just happened didn't affect him. he wasn't flustered or anything, i know i looked like a huge idiot stood there red faced and flustered but i was more surprised he handed pointed it out.
"r-right." was the only thing i could muster right now as i looked down at the floor. Cause this isn't embarrassing, get a Grip Luna. "Thank you," I said shakily as i released the breath i had unintentionally been holding.
"Maybe, don't sleep in the grass next time." he mumbled causing me to chuckle.
"Yeah, but it did feel so good... you should try it sometime Jacob. Might make you less grumpy!" he raised an eyebrow to me. i gave him a smile and stretched my arms above my head.
"I actually do know how good it feels." he sighed, he got a distant look into his eye as if he got caught up in a memory. Getting lost in it he remined quiet and still for a moment.
"Yeah? it reminds me of the grassy fields back home. i used to lie in them all the time." i mentioned, getting caught in my own nostalgia.
"Yeah, I did it too." he said nodding his head, I was a little but taken back by this.
"You're a country mouse too?" shrugged his shoulders and let out a defeated sigh.
"Yeah i suppose you can call me something like it." I didn't really understand what he meant by that. He either was or wasn't one, I tried to see if I could gage a better answer from him.
"Isn't the country side amazing's? It's peaceful and beautiful. Don't get me wrong Hydro city is pretty amazing but nothing will beat the country side.
"The academy also has a lot of greenery around here too that I love though." I gave him a smile as he looked at me intently, when I realised he was staring i blushed.
"Yeah the nature is good." He nodded his head in agreement, the serious look still plastered on his face. He turned and looked at me, i stopped my giggling and waited for him to say something.
"what?" i asked after a few minutes of him not talking. he shook his head and sighed looking away a little.
"This doesn't mean that is it safe to sleep on the fields alone Luna, especially outside the walls of the academy. You could have been hurt, kidnapped or even caught a cold." he mumbled the last part, he face had more seriousness then ever.
"really, your worried i would catch a cold?" I giggled trying to brighten the mood.
"Luna!" he almost yelled. i flinched and scratched the back of my neck chuckling.
"Okay, okay. You're right, I'm sorry i did that. I promise I will be more careful from now on." I gave him a smile of reassurance and he nodded in agreement.
I began rubbing my bare arms up and down trying to protect time from the now cold air. I blushed z little and hid my face.
"Thank you for worrying about me and thank you for helping." I looked form the corner of my eye as he two blushed and looked away trying to hide his face.
"Yeah well, I just... I doubt you would be capable of tacking care of yourself..." his huffed out after failing his sentence once before.
"Really?!" I shouted, i have him a small, light and playful punch on the arm causing his face to change and a chuckle come out before he went back to being serious.
Did he really have to say that? I huffed out in annoyance as he just watched me.
