"I'm sorry... I didn't know." I squeaked out timidly looking at the floor once more, I only looked back at him when I saw him move. He looked shocked before understanding rested on his features.
"I see, so you are new here are you? I knew I hadn't seen your pretty face around her before." He had taken a step forward and rested a hand on the top of my head with a smile; I blushed lightly looking at his smiling face. I looked back looked back at the floor not knowing where to look as my rapid heart sounded loud in my ear drums.
"My name is Rhys, I am a prefect here. What is yours?" He finally moved away from me but he was still smiling slightly, I gave him my own light smile.
"My name is Luna Rose, It's nice to meet you." I held my hand out to him and he took it, he held my hand gently as we shook. As soon as we stopped I instantly removed my hand, the boy himself although handsome felt a little intimidating.
"So what about the statue is so valuable to the school?" I gestured with my hand to the beautiful lady before looking over at Rhys, Rhys looked over at it with me before shrugging and looking over to me.
"Let's hope you never find out, I heard it has only been used once." His face was void of its kindness and usually smile instead replaced with a straight face and a cold hard stare as he looked back at it.
"What do you mean? What happened?" I took a step closure to him, I was desperate for answers. That figurine gives me a pull to touch it and I'm being told I can't without a reason.
"The school wants it kept a secret, sorry." Rhys shrugged looking back at me and placing his smile back on his thin pale pink lips.
"What?! Come on you can tell me! I don't know anyone here to tell so it's safe." I tried to reason, I even attempted to use my puppy dog eyes that had always worked at home when I wanted something but he didn't budge.
"Sorry Luna, I have said to much already and as much as those puppy dog eyes make me want to tell you. I can't I am sorry." He gave me a quick wink and laughed as I blushed for what felt like the millionth time. He kept his eye on me as he placed one of his hands in his school trouser pocket, it was then that I noticed under his uniform her had a bright orange top on. Loose scarfs hanging form his necks and a pink bandana tied to one of his wrists.
"Hopefully, if you're as smart as I believe you are. That figurine won't need to be used on you." He laughed once more and pulled out a little ball wrapped in plastic. "Sweet?" he handed one out to me with a smile
"Oh, thank you Rhys." I said with a light smile as I took the small sweet from is pale hand; I looked at the small pink sweet in my hand. He really seems to enjoy sweet; he himself is a sweet and kind man. I smiled lightly thinking about that.
I looked back over the figurine, I am still curious. I looked at Rhys once more and opened my mouth, I instantly closed it when I heard a noise behind Rhys, he turned and moved around the corner and that's when I heard it.
"Rhyyyys! How could you leave me all alone like that? Meanie!" whined a light childish voice from back at the door way
