A Witches Battle - Part one

Saying thank you to Draco I turned back top the teacher myself as he removed his hand from my shoulder.

"So there are 22 major Arcana card then that means that there are 56 Minor Arcana card correct?" there were a few murmurs of yes from the crowd. "Now although the cards are for reading futures you might be wondering why your Magic symbol is on the cards as art

"Well, The card are made from your magic as Luna showed us because they read the future form your magical abilities, something this cam make someone reading more detailed then someone else's."

I scribbled what she was talking about in my note book, It made sense though. "The cards help us draw out our inner power of prediction, we all have one some bigger then others.

"Even the weaker of us magic people have that small pouch of hidden talent. some like the already fortune teller talents will have stronger sense for it. Some don't need the cards at all."

She looked over at me, like that hint was made for m. I was confused by it, I had the ability to heal.. Does she think my power have there own hidden abilities?

"Today we are starting at the basic's of the training, we are going back to the beginning and leaning the first type of card readings." The class who had groaned at the beginning when finding out they were learning this seems to be listening intently now.

Maybe like me they are wondering if the have some type of hidden talent, as the teacher spoke it was all being written down on the board which made it easier for me to copy down.

"The card can be used to predict the distant future but today we are focusing on the near future with a one card reading, you may find your future or fin out what has been troubling you.

"So shuffle your cards and shuffle them well," a chorus of shuffling was heard through out the room as the teacher spoke up louder to be heard. "When you have thought of you question close your eyes shuffle one more time and then pick your card.

"For you little naughtiest who have not memorised the Arcana meanings, you can reference to them in your text books but please.

"Try and remember them, with that out of the way you may begin." she swung her right hand in the air her hand curved and figures spread as if she was cupping a crystal ball.

Closing my eyes and thinking of my question I shuffled my cards one last time before putting them face down. What will today have instore for me?

Opening my eyes I picked up a card from the top of the deck and exhales slowly turning it around. The fool.

Open my text book I looked up the meaning, I read through it and sighed. Elliot looked over at me with an eye brow raised in a questioning manner.

"The fool, The fool symbolises a new beginning. So didn't tell me more then I already knew." I spoke out loud to Elliot, I heard his little chuckle but ignored him.

Picking the card back up, I examined it as if it would spill out more secrets. in the middle of the card was a man, he ware a red and green stripped jumpsuit.

on top of his head he was a spider like hat with bells at the end, under his feet were burning coals which explained why his face looked in destress.

There was a beautiful serene lake behind him with pine trees covering the blue sky behind. The man suddenly moved hopping from one foot to the other before freezing again.

I guess the card make sense since today is my first day of school, Pretty much nailed this reading then didn't I. I let out a little chuckle, Maybe I have a little talent with reading cards too.

I had felt the flood of relief in my veins when the bell had rang for he end of todays class, I was currently stood in the middle of the class room.

I spoke to Draco, Elliot and Lucas who had reappeared to see how I had gotten on today. I was stood between Elliot on my right and Draco on my left who i was currently leaning on while Lucas was in front of me, glancing at me in concern.

I am absolutely exhausted, I was not prepared for today clearly. The big card show took all my energy, But I can not give up now. I need to make Mother and Farther proud.

The boys began to walk out the room hearding me with them like a sheep, I didn't fight back I was just glad they were willing o stay with me.

Just before hitting the door to the hallway a girl with short bobbed brown hair and chocolate colours eyes shimmed herself in front of me.

"U-Urm" she mumbled looking at the boys before the floor and fidgeting. I knew her name was Esmeray Evans, super hero name which was why I remembered it.

"L-Luna?" she stuttered, her eyes were all over the place looking anywhere then in my eyes. I hummed in response cocking my head tot he side.

"J-Jacob is outside looking for you." I straightened up and looked at her a little shocked.

"Really? Interesting." I thought, I know he was my buddie but i didn't think he would actually have much to do with me.

"I wounded what he wants..." It had been a thought that was not meant to be spoke out loud, let alone aimed at another student but Elliot answered it anyways.

"Well, he is you buddy. He is probably just checking up to see how you got on for your first day." He suggested with a shrug and a smile, I hummed in return as we left the class room.

I took one step into the hallway and instantly heard my name being called out through the crowed hallway.

I slowly turned around looking for where it was coming from until suddenly I came face to face with Jacob himself. blushing I took a step back and scratched the back of my head.

"H-Hey Jacob." he looked down at me for a moment before looking behind me. First he gave a look of acknowledgment to Elliot with a respectful nod that he returned.

His Jewel like eyes skimmed over Lucas not sparing him much of a glance before they landed on Draco.

His beautiful light shimmering eyes darkened s the boys glared at each other in length. As I opened my mouth to speak Elliot beat me to it.

"Okay we better head off!" Nudging Luca the boys grabbed an arm each of Draco's and began to walk away pulling the growling boy with them.

"We will see you later Rose." I waved goodbye to the boys with a small smile that calmed Draco down. He waved back and turned walking normally with you boys.

Turning around I faced back to Jacob and smiled at him, his eyes softened as he looked down at my small frame.

"What was going on with you and Draco?" I questioned coming back to my nosey self. Ignoring my question he gently nudged me to start walking.

He had nudged me in the direction that was opposite the boys, I turned to see Elliot look back before disappearing into the crowd.
