A Witches Battle - Part one

"W-What is happening?!" I looked at Jacob hoping he would have some answers, he didn't look worried just shocked. Which did put me at some ease, he opened his mouth to answer when I got a tight feeling on my arm and by the looks of it so did Jacob as we both looked at our right wrists.

On my wrist held a light blue wrist band with the Golden letters spelling out Jacob in italic writing. It was beautiful but I didn't understand why it was on there. The light whirled with so many different colours, sprinkles of star light dust scattered around us

Beautiful I admired the colours before looking back at Jacob who did the same thing, His face like when was pale, he looked down at my right wrist and I did the same to his.

Suddenly Light disappeared littering us with different coloured sparks, I cupped my hands trying to catch them but the sizzled out and died as they touched my skin. It was still beautiful, I spotted a large spark slowly floating down it was Red.

I reached my hand out allowing the spark to settling in my hand, It didn't sizzle out right away allowing me to look at it for a moment before it shrank into nothingness and disappeared.

I looked up and blushed as Jacob staid silent watching me with curiosity in his eyes, I took a couple of steps closer to him grabbing his wrist.

His wrist band was also Blue with Forest green italic letters spelling out Lunesta, I blushed redder. Lunesta was my birth name Lunesta Luna Rose Mordovia, Luna rose for short.

"What just happened?" I looked at him a little shocked but amazed at the same time, he took a step closer. But didn't look shocked or worried, his face held no emotion at all.

It put me at ease he was not worried but I knew he had answers, I opened my mouth to bug him for an answer when he started speaking.

"W-well-" suddenly he was cut of by another voice, the voice was male and sounded extremely serious. more so then Jacob if that was at all possible.

We turned and saw a Taller man with almost white blond hair and piercing blue eyes, His face so serious he almost looked angry. Jacob and I looked at each other and back at the man before us.

"Kyle Raven." Jacob greeted with a tad bow of his head, The man I now knew as Kyle did the same jester back.

"Jacob Slivinski, I was looking to borrow Lunesta for a moment." he spoke as if i was not here.

"Luna..." I corrected, "And I would like Jacob to accompany me." Kyle looked taken back a bit with the fact I interrupted him but did not say anything.

he simply nodded and waved us to follow him, we did so with a fight and as we spoke I turned to Jacob.

"You didn't answer my question." I pointed out waving my wrist band at him. Nodding his head he looked at Kyle and then to me.

"Here we have partners, buddies if you will. having a buddy is helpful and boosts point most of the time. If your grads boost so our your bud but if your grads drop it affects your bud too.

"The buddy's are usually chosen by either strong bond or power, usually the bond is created because the two pairs are destined to do well together. I have never heard of a pair that failed at passing together in this school."

I nodded my head in understanding, as we came to a small cottage looking building. Kyle harshly punched the door as if he thought it was the way to knock.

"McCall, I have her... And her Partner." the door swung open in an instant, Where I thought A man might stand was actually a creature I had never lay eyes upon but had heard of.

Chupacabra

They were rare, dangerous and absolutely beautiful. Without thinking I walked up to him and placed a hand either side of it's face, I allowed our foreheads to touch.

I remember reading somewhere in order to communicate you had to allow then to eater your mind. once this first contact was established then they could always talk with you where every you were.

When we pulled away finishing the bond I felt Jacob pull me back next to him, Kyle looked at me shocked. I looked at the pair of them.

"They are scared." I heard a raspy voice say, I looked over at the Chupacabra and then back to the boys.

"But why?" I asked him, the boys looked from me to the beast and back.

"you are the first student ever to make this bond with me, Only the head master himself and one other witch ever did this."

"Who was the other witch?" I asked curiously. He took a step closure and grabbed my chin with a clawed index finger and thumb.

"Rose Kathlinia Mordovia." My heart pounded faster then it should have.

"M-mother?" I asked, I saw the boys confusion as the lizard mad moved his red stained claws away. His green scales were shinning from the sun with his movements as he moved back into his dark hut.

"i thought she was, only Mordovia's are that risky." He jester me to follow him and i began to till the boys grabbed my arm.

"I think the boys want to know what you want with me." I pointed out, he turned back to look art the boys with his black void like sockets that had no eyes.

"This is how you are getting your class, Lunesta." his cackle at the end sent shivers down my spine, repeating tot he boys when was happening the let me go but attempted to follow.

The beast stormed tot he door and with the most horrific roar in the boys faces making them back of it slammed the door leaving us in a candle lit room.

"I never asked your name." It stopped what it was doing and looked at me licking it dagger like teeth with a snake tongue.

"I do not have one, I am a mere slave of the academy since my home was destroyed." even through his rough and raspy voice i heard the sadness he held.

I gently touch his giant arm hugging it, I pulled away when he patted my head. "why don't I name you?"

he turned staid silent waiting, I instantly knew the name he needed. "Griffen... For strong lord." he plaid the word on his tongue before happily accepting it.
