A Witches Battle - Part one

I woke up with a start gasping for breath, in my struggle I began coughing moving tot he side to cough up the water I had inhaled. I shivered from the breeze invading my soaked body.

I blinked a couple of times as I panted and breath heavily, I sat up shaking. Looking up I came face to face with the same on in the water. This girl had two large black pointed earter poking out of pure white hair. she two was soaked head to toe but she was not wearing out uniform. she had a long what would usually be fluffy tail that waged lightly behind her.

"You're okay!" she commented with a smile across her face, her tail wagging a little more. awe she like a dog, I looked to my left to see Draco staring at me intently, the worry carved into his hansom face. out of habit I press the palm of my hand to his cheek. he leaned into it closing his eyes knowing by this action I was fine.

Draco himself was half wet and then I remembered Jacob, whipping my head tot he right I breathed a breath of relief when I saw Jacob was stood knelt beside me more then half way wet. Letting out a sob I flung my arms around Jacob, scaring him enough to lose balance.

I felt Draco's hand on my back lightly rubbing circles while Jacob whispered soothing words to me but I couldn't focus on them. I thought I was dead... No, I thought he was dead.

When I felt strong enough and my crying had died down I took one last sniffle and slowly pulled myself out of Jacobs arms. Draco removed his hand some by back, I looked at the girl and then the two boys.

"what happened?" I asked everyone, I only remember bits and pieces. I remember Joking with Jacob but I didn't remember being on the water, then suddenly I was in the water with this girl swimming at me.

The girl in front shifter herself and sat cross legged still facing me with a sigh. she opened her mouth to speak but Jacob cut her off casing her to send dagger his way.

"You drowned" He got straight tot he point sitting down long with Draco who remained silent. Jocobs voice was breaking as he spoke and with a sniffle of his own he continued.

"You were just dancing on the water, it was beautiful then the power and the strength appeared. I heard to shout and you dropped.

"I am so sorry, I should not have pressured you to do that. you said you weren't in control. Last this I saw was this girl jump in the water from the forest." I head Draco growl

"You made her? you kn-" Draco who had aimed to punch Jacob was stopped by the girl and pushed back away form him.

"I followed her into the water and we pulled you out while this one snapped out of a some sort of trance." Draco growled looking over at Jacob again.

"A girl as gone to grab a nurse." I looked at him confused but Jacob just shrugged his shoulders, the girl infront flung her hand out towards me catching my attention.

I turned my attention to her as she smiled. "I'm East, short for Eastern-rise. nice to meet you Luna." after a moment I took her hand and shook it gently watching as her tail wagged again. I gave her a week smile.

"Thank you for saving me East." I gave her another smile As I looked over this new girl. other then the ear and of course tail she looked pretty normal.

"you're not from our school." I commented I know it was rude to ask about her race, she clearly wasn't a normal human which means she is a witch or warlock right?

She shook her head confirming my thoughts. "No I live in the forest, I'm a shifter so I have only recently been given the privilege to go to a school so I am thinking of attending."

"Of course, New law now states any magical being can attend a magic academy, but a shifter? I did not realise your species still existed... oh my gosh that was extremely rude of me!" I blurted out. the girl giggle lightly but did not seem at all offended.

I began to chuckle with her but earned myself another coughing fit, both boys warned me to be careful and soothed my back till I calmed down.

"You should join" I croaked. "It would be nice having you as a fellow student and seeing you around." she nodded her head with an excited smile.

"Okay sure!" suddenly her face went serious as her ears began to twitch. she looked swiftly o the trees where a large man was stood and then to something behind me.

"I better go." she said, her tone serious and void of emotion. shifting into a large black wolf East sprinted tot he large man.

when she passed him he two shifted and ran after her, I opened my mouth to ask the boys something when their looks stopped me. Curios I turned but saw nothing sitting back to look at the trees.

"Oh! Luna! you're okay! I was so worried I bought the nurse with me!" Amber crouched down with the nurse who checked me over.

"How come you're here amber." I asked allowing the nurse to do her job.

"I saw this happen." I heard the boys growl.

"You knew this would happen and didn't even think to stop it?" Jacob yelled. I shushed him.

"there is not point in getting angry Jacob. she's a seer an seers wont intervene unless absolutely necessary. but this needed to happen didn't it amber." she nodded.

"what do you mean." Draco asked this time.

"Seer's see the possible endings first and all the paths that will leave to it. seers can pick and ending and will follow the steps only intervening if they start to stray or something unseen gets in the way.

"Amber is my seer I am guessing... which means, There something in the works for me, that was needed for me to reach my destination and my original seer.."

"Passed away, yes." Amber finished for me sadly. I actually like my last seer she was a lovely grandma like lady.

"Her name was Imagen right?" I nodded confirmed. "She was my grandmother..." Amber smiled.
