"Where is your mother Luna." I stooped my actions of destruction the carrier apart to get the fur ball in the back; I shook my head and carried on acting as though the question hadn't affected me.
"My mother passed last year I'm afraid." I didn't look at the man, I knew what his face would look like if I did and I had gotten over people looking at me with pity. The cat finaly out of the carrier and hissed at me.
"Get off me human." It tried to back off the table; I put my hand behind her and used her gent towards me.
"I'm not going to hurt you I'm here to help you." I told the kitty, she eyed me skeptily before sitting down and looking at me.
"You are just a silly human; you are going to hurt me more looking for the pain then finding my actual pain." She muttered, I stifled a laugh and looked at the cat in amusement.
"You know I would hurt you less if you told me where it hurt?" I raised an eye brow at he cat that jaw seemed to have dropped in shock.
"You can understand me? "The shock on the cats face was actually priceless I couldn't help up aught.
"Yes, it's a gift." I stated. I looked over to her owner who just staring was set me. I blinked a couple of times looking back at him.
"Wow, you're mother wasn't joking you actually speak to them." I nodded my head and heard rhea chuckle.
"Anyways Luna it's nice to meet you." She said as I looked back at her, I gave her a warm smile grabbing my stuff I'll need from the shelves.
"It's nice to meet you too." I said genially, I made my way around the table looking over the fur ball before topping where I started. "Okay, tell e where it hurts and what happened." She looked at her owner before back at me; she gave out a little chuckle.
"He can't hear me right?" I nodded my head in agreement, she chuckled again. "well, I was teasing the neighbour's dog like usual and he is kept on a chain in the garden so he can't reach me but this time he wasn't and I didn't know this. He ran to me but I could get away quick ennough and he sunk his teeth in my back ragging me around. When I could finally get free I climbed up a tree but I was badly hurt by this point." I nodded m head in understand-ment and heaved out a sigh.
"Let's get you fixed." I walked over to the water bowl I had on the side and submerged my hands inside, after a couple of minutes I pulled them out and walked back over to Rhea. "This is going to hurt for a second but should stop once we get started if it does hurt more let me know." She nodded and I placed my soaking we hand into her fur on her back, I closed my eyes as I heard her hiss form the pain caused when I touched the wound.
I made sure my legs were a shoulder length apart and took a deep breath; I allowed the magic to flow through my arms and into my hand. I imaged the wound slowly closing and healing,-imagining the reverse of what the damage had done- I felt it under my hands moving and closing. I felt the atmosphere around me beginnng to shift and change too, it became light and open. My magic spread throughout my whole body and although I felt my eye lids open, I still saw nothing.
The gasp the old man made did not put me off, the cat purring beneath me only made me push harder. As the atmosphere began to shift back to normal, my eye lids closed once again. When I next opened my eyes backup I could see again, both rhea and Mr Wilkinson was staring at me like I was a magical creature. I looked in the mirror to my right, I should see my eyes were still there normal mixed matched colour of green and blue and my hair had gone messy but nothing was wrong. I looked back at the two confirmed.
"What?" the old man pointed to me with a shaky hand, he didn't look scared through he was fascinated.
"Your eyes Luna." I looked down at rhea with a questioning look after what he had said; she looked at her owner before back at me.
"Your eyes turned white and you were surrounded but a whitest blue white I had ever seen, I can see why you mother named you after the moon with that glow." I nodded my head in understand-ment; I had forgotten my eyes did something like this when I used my magic. I had never been able to see what I looked like myself mother would never take a picture to show me and told me to keep my full magical secret.
"Anyways, how are you feeling rhea?" I stroked the cats back and she began purring again, "That sounds like a good sign, now I want you to leave that dog alone." She nodded her head in understanding before climbing into the carrier after I had placed it back together. Once she was closed in the carrier I turned and handed her back to Mr Wilkinson who was just staring at me.
"in all my years –and there are a lot of them- I have met great wizards and amazing witches but not once have I seen anything like that, not any power I'd seen before what was it?" I smiled at him.
"Just healing magic." I shrugged, he face scrunched into a displeased look.
"I have met many healers, your mother included but non like that." I nodded, I'm not lying I am a healer but not like others. There other healer us herbs as medications and ointments, I can use water.
"It is just healing magic." I told him again, he nodded his head and stood up walking with me to the doors.
"Do you now run this business alone? Where is your farther?" I let my hand rest on the door handle.
"My farther had passed a few years ago and then I moved up her to my mother, when she passed away I was okay on my own I still had people to help me." I smiled at him; he gave me a sad smile and placed a hand on the small of my back. He patted it a couple of time before letting his hand drop.
"I am very sorry for you loss, I know your mother will be proud of you and I'm sure your farther too." I smiled to I'm as I opened the door allowing the light back into my home. We said out goodbyes and he hobbled out the door with me following behind him, I locked my home turning the sign to close as I went in the opposite direction to him.
I followed the gravel path up the hill, I passed May grassy fields that were attached by the little cottages covered with vines and had flowers all around them. I carried on walking till I walked into the shops hear the little doorbell jingle.
