I could feel my mum watching me as I talked with Michael after dinner. We had all eaten and not really talked much, but now Michael and I were just sitting at the table eating some ice cream. We were talking about his band from Sydney, they sounded like a cool bunch of guys. Michael told me about how they had done a few covers on YouTube, but they had to give up in it before it really took off because he moved. He seemed to be really proud of what they had done, I would be too. They had a few originals that he mentioned too, he promised to play them for me later.
I told him more about life up here and my dad, he payed attention through the whole thing, which people don't normally do. Then we got onto the topic of the music we liked, All Time Low was a common interest, and he didn't think Sleeping With Sirens were too bad either. We talked about what he was going to do after school, but he didn't have a clue.
It was so easy talking with him, it was nice. We also kind of nearly kissed a few more times, but purposely didn't because we were still under the watchful eyes of our mothers. It was around 9 and we were showing no signs of going home, so Michael and I want to the music room.
We sat around and tuned the guitar for a bit, then started to look through my sheets of lyrics and chords. It took us twenty minutes to make it easy to find what I was looking for, then was sat on the floor and Michael played my guitar for me. He played one of the originals his band had written called 'Everything I Want'.
'They can say what they say,
I just want you to believe,
But these clods are still dark,
I have loved you from the start,
You're so beautiful,
And you're incredible,
Irre-placeable,
I never want to lose my baby.
But you are everything I want,
And everything I need.
It's all because of you,
I can barely breathe.
When we wake up in the morning,
It's a brighter day,
We sail the high seas,
Baby you and me,
It can always be,
And I just want to call you,
Mine,' he sang. He stopped there, and looked me in the eyes.
'Be mine?' He asked. He placed the guitar next to him and pulled me onto his lap.
'Yes,' I said right before our lips touched again. It was a softer kiss this tine, but it was still amazing. We lightly kissed for a bit, but stopped abruptly when there was a knock on the door. We nearly burst out laughing, knowing we were nearly caught out.
'Yeah?' I asked as I opened the door. It was my mum.
'Michael, your mums ready to leave,' she said before turning and going back to the kitchen. I turned back to him and saw he had stood up.
'Well, I guess I will see you when you no longer grounded because of me!' He said with a cheeky grin and a wink. I laughed.
'Well if they found out what just happened you would never see me again,' I said walking towards him.
