Chapter 24

We were laying on the bed, staring up at the ceiling and watching as the shadows from the trees dance around from the breeze. Michael had his arm around my waist and I was resting my head on his chest. Neither of us were tired, but everyone else had fallen asleep while we were out.

The only thing apart from the strong breeze that I could hear, was Michaels steady breathing. It was at least 3am, but I just couldn't sleep at all. My mind wouldn't slow enough for me to sleep, and every time I was almost asleep, something would wake me up again.

'Michael,' I whispered into the darkness.

'Yeah babe?' He whispered back.

'What are we gonna do until you leave?' I asked.

'Well, it's actually Cal's birthday on the weekend, but he thinks we've forgotten. So we are going to throw him a party,' Michael said.

'Really? How old is he getting now?'

'Poor blokes 16,' Michael laughed.

'Damn, that makes you really old,' I laughed. Michael softly squeezed me closer to him.

'Haha very funny,' he laughed sarcastically.

'I thought so,' I replied smartly.

'So, when are your friends getting here?' He asked.

'Uh, I don't really know. I'll call them when they would be awake,' I said looking at the clock on the table beside me.

'Ok, maybe they could come party with us,' Michael said.

'Yeah, that would be cool. But right now, I have to sleep,' I yawned suddenly feeling tired.

'Ok, sleep tight beautiful,' Michael whispered before kissing my cheek.

'Night,' I replied. I closed my eyes and fell asleep, safe in Michaels arms.

'WAAAKE UUUP!' Calum and Luke shouted as they burst through the door screaming. Michael and I jumped away and Michael fell off the bed onto the floor with a loud thud.

'What the hell guys!' Michael groaned as he stood up and rubbed his eyes.

'It's nearly 12 and Hayley's phone keeps going off,' Luke complained.

'Really? Who was it?' I asked sitting up.

'Your friends,' Calum answered.

'Wait! She has friends?' A familiar voice said from the doorway. I looked over to the door and couldn't believe it.

'GUYS!' I screamed as I jumped out of the bed and ran to the door. I tackled my friends over in a hug and we all fell on the ground laughing.

'Get off me! I can't breathe!' Mikayla squealed.

'Hey!' Jaz laughed.

'Haha hi guys,' I laughed again. We pulled ourselves up off the floor and walked back into the room with the rest of the boys.

'So do we get to know who these lot are?' Calum asked smiling. I followed his gaze and saw he was watching Sally. I giggled and introduced my old friends to my new ones.

'Well, Calum, Luke, Ashton,' I said pointing to each of the guys. 'Denique, Mikayla, Jaz and Sally,' I said.

'Hey!' Luke said jumping up off the bed and giving them all a hug. They all seemed surprised by this, but then Calum did the same and so did Ashton. Michael got up and gave them all a hug too.

'Ok, explain to me why you are here now?' I said seriously to my friends as we all walked down to the living room.

'Surprise!' Mikayla shouted throwing her hands in the air.
