Hayley's P.O.V.

I stood in front of the mirror and took in what I saw. My hair was tied up in a high-pony tail and was trailing down to my left shoulder in its natural curls. I had borrowed some if Karen's make up, so I had eyeliner and mascara, along with a neutral coloured lipstick to match the dress. The dress.

It was a mid-thigh length dress. The skirt was a light cream colour and had tulle over the silk to give it more of a casual look. The top had the same coloured silk but it was covered by a black lace and had a black bow at the front. I stood there staring at it and thinking how pretty it was. It was a strapless dress and I was wearing a pair of black pumps that Karen had pulled out for me.

I was standing in the bathroom looking at my reflection, I saw a few fly-always and went to push them down, when I saw my wrists in the mirror. They still stood out, and I needed something to cover them, but my bracelets would look stupid with dress and my mum would know I did it again. I went to the bag of make up Karen had given me and pulled out foundation. It was too light for my face, but may do the trick for my wrists.

I squeezed some out onto my hands and rubbed it in, perfect. It only looked like a few scars now, definitely not as bad as before. I did one last check on my look in the mirror then walked out of the bathroom. I went to my room and put away my clothes and then went to the kitchen.

Karen was there just setting the table, she turned around when she heard me walk in.

'Oh my you look lovely,' she said sighing and coming over to have a closer look. 'Do a twirl for me,' she said. I did and put my arms in the air like a model.

'Thank you so much for letting my wear this,' I said smiling as I stood still again.

'It's not a problem at all,' she said giving me a hug. 'Michael might need some help though,' Karen said. 'Getting dressed may not be as easy for him now.'

'I'll go see if he does,' I said walking up the stairs to his room. I knocked on his door. 'Hey, need any help?'

'Yeah, that would be good,' Michael said through the door. I opened it and saw him trying to do up the zipper on his pants. This was awkward. Michael looked up as I walked in and his eyes shone. 'Wow, you look amazing,' he said.

'Thanks,' I said blushing. 'So, how do I help you out here?' I said looking him up and down.

'I kinda can't do up my pants,' Michael said blushing. I cringed a little at the thought.

'Um, right. Well, uh,' I said.

'I can get my mum to help with that, but could you help with my shirt?' He asked. I sighed relieved and walked over to help out. I picked up the shirt and Michael put his left arm through the sleeve first. It didn't fit easily over the cast, but we got there, and then I brought it around so he could put his right arm in. Once that was done I started to do up the buttons.

'Do you only own one nice outfit?' I asked, remembering he wore this to my house.

'Yeah, basically,' he said smiling at me. Once I finished doing up the buttons, Michael turned around and picked up a tie. 'I can't even do this with two hands,' he laughed.

'Seriously? I've known how to do this since I was eleven!' I said taking it from him and putting it around his neck.

'Yeah, but it's sexier when you do it for me anyway,' he whispered to me. I looked up from the tie and into his eyes.
