'What do you think?' He asked.

'What do you mean?'

'This is your room, until we move that is. So what do you think?'

'Oh! It's lovely, thank you, but- wait! Did you say until 'we' move?' I stared at him in surprise.

'Yep, you live with us now!' He said, picking me up and hugging me, kissing me on the cheek. I hugged him back with my arms around his neck. I smiled at him and rested my forehead against his, we kissed lightly, he was just pecking me on the lips. It was the cutest moment, then we heard Sally making vomiting noises. We turned to her and pulled faces, then Michael took my face in his hands and started to kiss me more like when he snuck out the back to see me.

I kissed him back and he moved his hands to my hips again. I heard Sally and Denique going 'Ew!' and them laughing at Mikayla who was most likely hiding behind them so she wouldn't have to watch. I felt Michael smile against my lips, then we pulled back and laughed. We then went to the kitchen and found something to eat.

We found some chicken and made sandwiches then sat around eating them and talking. It was almost six o'clock, which meant that my mum would be around soon, but I tried not to think about it. There wasn't much that we didn't talk about, at one point, Michael was telling us about this one time when he and Luke had written a song to get people to request songs on their YouTube channel.

'So, are you guys still going to be a band when you get back?' Sally asked.

'Yeah, the guys are stocked, and they can't wait to meet my amazing girlfriend either,' he said, pulling me close and kissing my temple. I blushed and side hugged him back.

'Cool, so what kind of sound do you guys have?' Denique asked, drinking her cordial.

'We are kind of rock pop, but we are NOT a boy band. More like,' he paused to think but I jumped in.

'A man band?' I sarcastically suggested, and we all laughed.

'Yeah, you could put it that way,' he said. We talked for a while more, but then there was a knock at the door. I froze, Michael getting up to answer it. I received encouraging looks from my friends, then in walked the one person I didn't want to see; my mum.

'Hello,' she said. I had to admit, she looked horrible. I mean, not like she hadn't made an effort, but, she just didn't look right. Her eyes were tired, her face less bright than it normally was, and her body language was just exhausted. I had broken my mum in an attempt to save myself. What kind of a daughter am I? I didn't feel guilty about it, what's wrong with me?

'Hi,' I said. With that, everyone got up and walked out of the room, leaving my mum and I there to sort this out. She sat down across from me, and uncomfortable silence filled the air.

'Are you really that unhappy?' My mum finally asked, breaking the silence.

'Yes,' I said bluntly. She sighed and tried another question.

'Is going with this boy you just met really going to make things better for you?'

'I really hope so. Otherwise, I guess I'll just go and find somewhere new to stay.'

'Hayley, you are not even fifteen yet, please, don't throw your life away like this,' my mum said, reaching across to me and trying to take my hands. I pulled them away and stared back at her.

'I'm not throwing it away, mum, I'm trying to make it better. I may only be a teenager, but you have put me through enough to be able to make a decision in my life that teens shouldn't even have to think about. You threw my life away with dad! I don't want to lose anything else like you made me lose him,' I said to her. I saw the last bit of hope shatter and leave her tired eyes.
