Sage's P.O.V

This was it. I was stood in the reception area behind the doors, the doors which concealed my soon to be husband and our wedding guests. To say I was nervous would quite possibly be the understatement of the century, I was absolutely bricking it. Megan had been fussing around me since we woke up, attempting to balance supporting me and feeding little Teddy.
The music started and the two doors in front of me opened, Megan linked her arm with mine as we slowly began to walk down the aisle. The sound of the piano playing throughout the room brought warm tears to my eyes as I approached Jack who was resisting tears himself. I smiled up and him and he winked, everybody chuckled at our interaction as we finally met in front of the alter. Handing my flowers to Megan she took them with a smile and sat down with the other bridesmaids.
The ceremony began and all I could focus on was the way mine and Jacks hands looked so perfectly fitted together as they held each other. The time came to make our final commitment to each other and with a deep breath I made my promise to Jack.

'Jack, I promise to always love you, to always protect you and to always be faithful to you. Despite your inability to get laundry in the basket, and the awful way you make fried eggs, you are the other part of me, the part I'd been missing, and now I have you I promise not to let you go'

I slid the ring onto Jacks finger and he held his hand up, taking a good look at the ring that now had its forever home on his finger. Holding his hand up in the air he spoke.

'Not too shabby' he chuckled as did everybody else in the room, before he finally began his promise to me.

'Sage, where do I start? We didn't meet in a conventional way, but I'm so glad we did because my what would I do without you? Your unconditional love for me keeps me sane when everything else demands to drive me mad, you are my rock, my safety and my forever. I promise to love you, cherish you and keep you safe, forever'

My ring was then slid onto my finger and I watched on with awe as Jacks shaky hands put the ring onto my finger. I smiled up at him and listened carefully as we were officially pronounced man and wife. I barely had time to process what was happening before Jacks lips were firmly placed on mine with his hands on my waist. I could feel him smiling against me as we kissed and everybody began to cheer. We pulled away from each other and I launched myself at him in a big hug.

'I love you' he whispered in my ear as we hugged and somehow the smile on my face grew bigger.

'I love you too'

With one more kiss we began walking back down the aisle, Jacks now still hand holding onto mine, giving it a squeeze every few seconds. We stopped to thank everyone for coming  along the aisle and eventually got out of the small chapel and into the car which took us to our reception. I rested my head on Jacks shoulder as the driver took us along the long roads, the sun just starting to settle on the skyline.

'Sage' Jack spoke up, his voice quiet but peaceful which was so reassuring to me on a day that had been filled with anxiety.

'Hmm'

'When we get home, I'm going to treat you like my own personal jungle gym' he winked at me and I could feel my cheeks going red as the heat rose to them.
After a few more minutes of driving we arrived at our reception.
There were fairy lights everywhere and the flower arrangements Jack and I chose looked beautiful on top of the tables that were scattered across the hall. Everybody flooded into the room and I greeted them all as the made their way in.

'You look absolutely stunning' Jacks mum embraced me in a warm hug and I could see the tears still sat in her eyes as I pulled away from her.

Once everybody was seated we too made our way to the table with our families as well as Megan and Mason. We had our three course meal and of course Jack complained the entire way through that he would have preferred a pizza but all in all it was lovely and soon enough the music was on and everybody was up and dancing.

'Can I have everyone's attention for a minute?' Everybody turned to face Mason who had got himself stood up behind our table and was tapping a spoon against the glass in his hand.

The room fell silent as he began to speek; 'Jack and I have been best mates for as long as I can remember, he's been there with me throughout everything, and being able to play along side him is an absolute pleasure'

'The pleasures all yours mate!' Jack interrupted and everybody laughed at his comment before Mason was able to continue.

'When Jack met Sage, something in him changed, he was in all honesty, a nicer guy to be around and that made all of us so happy. Your an incredible uncle to Megan and I's little Teddy and we couldn't do it without you mage. Now instead of rambling on about you and boosting your ego any more, I'm going to let Sage give you the present you deserve' Mason winked at me and I knew that was my que.

I stood myself up and Jack gave me a puzzled look, I pulled him up to join me and handed him a small box wrapping in a cotton fabric with a bow on the top. Don't ask how long it took Megan and I to tie the bow, it's too traumatic to think about.

'Before you open it, I've got a little something prepared' I reached under the table and pulled out the small piece of paper that had my hand writing scribbled across it, filled with everything I'd wanted to tell Jack for the past three months.

'When we lost our twins, despite not even knowing they were there, I felt like a piece of us was taken away. I know that without you there with me, however early on in our relationship it was, I wouldn't have made it through without your strength and courage. Now, almost two years later I'm hoping you've got enough strength and courage left' I giggled and Jack raised an eyebrow at me.

'Open the box' I smiled and the atmosphere in the room grew more tense ans Jack slowly untied the bow on top and removed the fabric from the box, placing it gently on the table he removed the lid and looked inside. He directed his attention back to me after a few moments, his eyes wide and a shocked expression on his face, which with every passing moment, began to turn into a smile.

'Your pregnant?' He asked with a smile and I nodded in response.

Once again, the room erupted into cheers, everybody clapping as Jack and I embraced each other. I could once again feel Jack smiling against me as we kissed to the sound of everybody still cheering. We pulled away and rested our foreheads against each other's as the music came back on. Swaying from side to side I'd never felt so content with my life than I did in this moment.

'Our future baby, yours and mine' Jack whispered, placing his hand on my stomach and gazing down and my mom existent bump.

'I'm ready' I beamed up at him, with utter love and admiration, for this boy had saved me, when I didn't even know I needed it.
