"-kook. . . Jungkook!"
Jungkook flinched and broke out of his trance. He must've spaced out again. He looked to his left at the blonde guy who was sitting on the other side of the studio.

"You missed the beat, Kook."

"Oh. Sorry, hyung. Let's start again."

They were recording and re-recording for the following thirty minutes and Jungkook kept messing up. Not once had he gotten the take right. He would either miss the beat or mess up the melody, other times he wouldn't get the notes right, which was quite unusual for him since he had recorded the demo perfectly on first try before.

"Okay, let's take a break. You're definitely distracted."

"No, I'm okay. Let's just continue."

"Come here, Jungkook."

Jungkook winced at the sharp tone before he took off his headset and set it near the mic. He walked over to sit beside the older man on the leather couch. Yoongi took one of the soda cans he had, opened it, and gave it to the younger who thanked him in return. Jungkook stared at the wall in front of him as he spaced out again, completely ignoring the rambling of his companion.

"Jungkook, are you listening?"

"Huh, what? Yes, of course."

Yoongi looked at the boy who had his head down staring at his shoes and sighed.

"What's wrong, Kook?"

The ravenette lifted his head up to glance at Yoongi with his big round eyes that reflected the mix of emotions he felt at that moment. Sad, conflicted, confused, worried.

"It's Jana. She's not talking to me."

"Did you guys fight?"

"No, not like that. She's hiding something from me."

"Well, does it have anything to do with you?"

"How am I supposed to know? She won't talk to me!" He placed the can on the table roughly, leading it to spill some of its contents on the surface.
"And I feel like everything is going wrong. Something definitely happened between her and Hobi-hyung. He snapped at her the other day in practice and he never did that before. And I don't even know where Jimin is anymore. I see him in the morning at school but then he disappears. He hasn't come to practice for a while now." His glassy eyes shined under the yellow spotlight in the studio.

"It hurts, hyung. Seeing us slowly drift away from each other like that pains me. And none of them ever comes to talk to me. I don't understand why we're suddenly falling apart." He took a deep breath and leaned back on the couch as he stared at the ceiling.
